The film has music composed by JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson and Harshwardhan Rameshwar, cinematography handled by Amit Roy and editing by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. With a runtime of 201 minutes (3 hours 21 minutes), the film was one of the longest Indian films made.
Animal was theatrically released on 1 December 2023 in standard and IMAX formats and received mixed reviews from critics. It has grossed ₹424.87 crore (US$51 million) as of 3 December 2023.

Well, I must say this movie is different than others. Ranvijay is not a hero figure nor Abrar. They are kind of the same. But Sandeep is showing movie from Ranvijay's perspective. For Ranvijay, he will protect his family at any cost. He will do literally anything to save this family. And Abrar also has same agenda. He will get the revenge of his grandfather and brother's deaths. Both of them thinks they are bringing justice.
But in reality, both of them are doing horrific stuffs in the name of love for family. So its kind of 'Villain vs Villain'. Both characters are equally dark. And indian audience are used to watching "Hero vs Villain". But this movie is not like that. That is reason behind all the controversies.

I'll give you one example of how society is watching a movie. During the movie "Fan" there was a scene where SRK as the fan misbehaves with a women. He touches her inappropriately. The movie showed it in a dark way hinting it's a bad thing to do but the men in audience started cheering and whistling. And this is a very common scenario. In 80s and 90s r@pe scenes were there as a henious crime but audience went to watch those scenes only. Eve teasing became normal during 90s and at that time heroes in movies did that constantly. To say these movies don't leave an impact is an understatement. Sanjay Dutt got out of jail simply because Munna Bhai MBBS whitewashed his image. We live in a country where posters of movie stars are bathed with milk, flower petals. Our country definitely gets heavily impacted by movies. Otherwise who would think Salman Khan is an angel. But I get your other points. We can't stop making dark characters because of this. Stories should be told

While growing up people take up behavior and some might retain them some might not. For example you'll see boys of 16/18/20 year old would be saying the most misogynistic things on comments that grown up men won't be commenting. And in my comment I did say that stories will be told whether this happens or not. Similarly these behavior will be amplified in youngsters we agree or not. For me it wasn't the violence or it's message that triggered me. It was the way that violence and message was forced into the narrative of the movie that clearly shows that the director wanted to keep these scenes not to enhance the story but to prove a point to the critics wo gave negative reviews to kabir singh. For example - there was no need for that entire zoya(tripti dimri) scene in the movie because what it did was just to hate the character even more by the audience. That entire arc could have been written off just by adding a 5min conversation between ranvijay singh and dadaji. Instead the writers made him cheat his wife.
Still i liked 80-90 percent of the movie. Never seen anything like this before.

मेरे सबसे पसंदित फिल्मों की लिस्ट में सनम तेरी कसम के बाद एनिमल ऐसी मूवी है जिनको में बहुत लंबे समय तक याद रखूंगा वैसे रॉकस्टार के बाद रणवीर की अदाकारी एनिमल में अच्छी लगी और जिनको ये मूवी नही अच्छी लगी तो एक बात बताऊं इस मूवी का जो चरित्र रणवीर ने निभाया है, जिसमे का एक सीन है की बहन को उसकी जब कोई परेशान करता है तो वो स्कूल या कॉलेज में गन लेकर चला जाता है तो उनको बता दू एक बार मेरी दोस्त की बहन को किसी ने परेशान किया था स्कूल में 10 लडको के साथ गया था हाकी लेकर उन तीनो लडको को पेलने और पेला भी था ये बाद अलग की उसके बाद पिता जी ने मेरी ठुकाई कर दी थी दूसरी इस फिल्म का अंत का वो 10 मिनट का सीन जिसमे रणवीर और अनिल सर पिता पुत्र के रूप संवाद करते है एक बहुत ही बेहतरीन और थोड़ा सा सच के साथ वाला सीन था मेरे लिए क्योंकि मैं उस पीढ़ी से नही आता जिनकी पिता के सामने बोलने की हिम्मत नही पड़ती है,गलत तरह से नही,लेकिन मैं गलत को मुंह पर गलत बोलने का साहस रखता हूं, लेकिन पिता के सम्मान के साथ, तीसरी रणवीर का चरित्र जितना ही हिंसक क्यों ना हो लेकिन वो लड़की की इज्जत करना जानता है,हां बस आज कल के नीब्बा नीब्बी की तरह बापू सोना नही करता गलत करने पर पेल देता है और मर्द ऐसा ही होता है, मां के पल्लू में रहने वाले और जोरू की हां हजूरी करने वाले और फर्जी नारीवतियो को ये मूवी समझ नही आयेगी

Agreed that such films can have a very wrong impact on some viewers, its censorboard's job to control. There are far more extreme Indian OTT shows that can have much higher impact. After a level, censor board cannot keep reviewing each and every content fairly, and is left to platform owners and audience to take their own decision. And theatres letting children watch A rated movies is a failure of censor board, do that first instead of simply banning content
