A good WH40K game to play that involves Terminator Armor is Space Hulk Death Wing. Probably one of the better games. It’s also all about PURGING FOUL XENOS IN RIGHTEOUS FLAME AND FURY OF THE GOD EMPEROR.
I’ve been trying acting this channel for a while now and I really love all of this lore I’m getting into. That being said does this lore have anything to do with the game? Or is the game have nothing to do with the lore? Take league of legends for example all of the characters have crazy lore but in the actual game it doesn’t really matter you know.
Hmmm well it depends. So I think the Lore is pretty important in the video games, more so than the actual tabletop game itself. The tabletop game, at the end of the day, you could play it without knowing anything about the lore. But if you do, then it really helps you get immersed in it. At the end of the day it's a game, so sometimes the Lore doesn't match up 100% mechanically for the sake of balance. Like in the books, a single Space Marine could conquer a small City by himself and is basically a walking tank that could take out a thousand Guardsmen no problem. But that wouldn't make for fun game design, so in the tabletop game they are certainly better than a Guardsman but one Space Marine is probably equal to four or five of them not a thousand 😅 That being said, within the rules there are narrative systems that definitely take the lore into account. There are ways to play through historic battles, so knowing the stories of those wars, and then playing them out on the table top would be a ton of fun for somebody who's really invested in the lore

The picture of Tyberos(He’s a bit chonky )towering over that one marine, that’s not terminator armor, that’s terminator armor with parts from dreadnought armor as well.
Alright. Terminator armpit is an ancient design dating back to the dark age of technology, along time ago, when it was used as a basic hazard suit/ heavy load suit. Space Hulk was the game that introduced me to the Warhammer 40k lore back in the day (early 90s). The games' fantastic art cover literally caught my eye, a terminator armed with a bolter and power fist on the other hand going to pass a dimly light tunnel with genestealers on both sides ready to pounce on him.
Fun fact. In the dark age of technology the terminator armour suit was simply a heavy engineering maintenance suit. intended for use in ships reactor cores or for external repairs when there was a risk of collision with space debris.

One of my most fun games was when i placed 5 miniatures only my 2 mates looked at me like cray cray. This was a 10k points army game /// those space wolves wrought absolute destruction
The armour is also so heavy that it is impossible to sprint in it but Logan Grimnar, chapter master of the space wolves, at one point was so angry that he was able to full on sprint while wearing the armour but because the armour was not designed for moving that fast the joints sounded as though they were screaming
That bit about it shrugging off space debris is important as it was originally just a handymans space suit during the dark age of technology. Its gone from being a common piece of kit that anyone could use and wasn't that special to being the most heavily sought after armor in the imperium.
Something interesting in the lore my friends shared with me. Terminator armor's STC was first discovered by Astartes, and then modified to fit them. Originally these suits where intended for normal humans.
And then there's the space marine chapter called the Minotaurs who all wear terminator armor. Best part is they've went against both the sisters of silence and custodes while suffering losses they still held out against the best of the best.
One reason why tactical dreadnought armor is so resilient is their crux terminatus, a personal shielding device usually located on the left pauldron containing a tiny sliver of the emperor's own armor.. That's also what makes the armor so expensive and sacred coz every single suit of tactical dreadnought armor has a crux terminatus..
I've been playing a shit ton of space hulk deathwing, which for those who don't know is a Warhammer 40,000 game, and I forgot that the heavy flamer was mounted on tanks, so I have just been lighting xenos on fire as if they are just a bundle of firewood

Imagine falling so far from grace that your greatest military equipment after the Dark Ages are military tractors, mining suits, and light tanks(Baneblades)
The funny thing in regard to their speed is that they aren't actually any *slower*, instead they have way more inertia so it's harder for them to start moving and also harder for them to *stop* moving. As such, space marines in terminator armor typically move slower so they can maintain control of their movements, but they could 100% come sprinting at you, full speed, if they wanted.
So here's a fun tidbit, the terminator with the electric claws is named Tiberius The Red Wake, and he is the largest Asterties ever. He's from a battalion called the space sharks who are already know for their large size, standing usually a head and shoulders taller than other Asterties, and Tiberius dwarfs even his fellow sharks, standing nearly as tall as a primarch. In fact, his terminator armor is even modified with pieces of dreadnaght armor just to fit him.
I could be wrong, but I remembered hearing that terminator armor was originally created as excavating armor during the dark age of technology, but it's use was misinterpret as armor, though it does make for VERY effective armor.
