Thanks for this! I'm getting ready to start a project and my fingers are all crazy! Your demo gives me some practical idea of the concept. Question... It appears that you are working on a flat surface which seems to help the yarns "behave themselves". That being said, is it impractical to think that tapestry crocheting is something that can be done "on the go"? Yarn management seems like it would be a nightmare. Anyway, thanks again for sharing.
Hi, thanks for question! Yeah, I think this would be quite difficult to do whilst moving about although having said that I've never actually tried so don't know for sure. It might work if you had an apron with a big pocket for each ball though? Although the tutorial is at a table, I usually work on the sofa, and this technique works perfectly there. Can u show us how you start with all the yarn?
Hi, Thanks for your question. When you join a new colour for the first time, you just pick it up, leave a tail, and yarn over with it as if you'd already been carrying it along. There isn't a special way of joining/starting with new yarns. Hope that helps but I will definitely add this query to my list of tutorials to film in the future - thanks for asking!
