    Welcome back! I want to say THANK YOU to all the new subscribers! I really appreciate the love this channel is getting. If you are a returning viewer please consider subscribing. Thank you!
    In this video I show you how to replace a rear window regulator on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ. After rolling the window up, there was a loud pop sound and the window began to slide downward. Failed/broken window regulators are a super common failure point for all vehicles.
    This is my wife's Jeep, and we plan to use this vehicle is our new primary for our camping and touring trips with our new baby! The Honduzu is still around and is NOT going anywhere. So be on the look out for a future walk-around video of the Jeep and soon to be rack install video.
    Enjoy!

    Back door regulator went out today as soon as I got home. I don't live in the best area so finding a way to get the window back up and secure for the night was essential. I appreciate you making and posting this video for everyone it was extremely helpful!

      How do you tell if it's the regulator or if the window fell off the track?

    Great Job!!! I have to replace the rear window regulator on my car and usually all you see are how to replace the one on the front doors. Thanks for showing how to replace the rear one. I really appreciate it. Have a great, SAFE trip!!!

    Thanks for the video. Well detailed and clearly explained. I like the suction cup trick using tape sucks when you have to move things up and down that's really smart.

    I thank you for this video. I’m in the process of changing all for of mine. The suction cups I’ll have to purchase before I start, currently I’m using screw drivers on three out of four windows.😂😂 the driver side is the only one working most times I have to pull it in place. Thanks again.

    Great information. I noticed you don’t need to remove clips on new unit . Looks like you just push the lugs onto glass pins and then it clicks . Thanks for clip .

    Good video. It would be helpful if you put the year of the car in the title. GCs changed a bunch depending on the model year.

    How do you know if its the regulator or if the window maybe just fell off the track before you take the door panel off?

    • @GridLineGo
      @GridLineGo  Před 9 měsíci

      Typically the regulator is what breaks. These don’t really “fall off track” unless the clips holding the window to the regulator weren’t fully seated. That being said, you don’t. You will have to remove the panel to see. Good question!

    • @NukeTheWhales69
      @NukeTheWhales69 Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@GridLineGo OK yeah because when I hit the button to roll the window up or down it still makes a noise inside the door. Is that what typically happens when the regulator goes out? That's what was making me think it just might of fallen off the track. Thank you for getting back to me.

    • @GridLineGo
      @GridLineGo  Před 9 měsíci

      @Quasar0420 yeah that sounds very characteristic of a broken regulator. Similar to what you’ll see in the video here

    Hey can you do one on the Honduzzi? I just picked up a 97 4x4 passport and the windows need some love haha.
    I don't even no where to begin on a lift for it.
    BTW, she only has 122,000 on her and runs strong!!👍

    • @GridLineGo

      I got them on Amazon. I found that the long ones work best

    Hell I can’t find a rear regulator for my 98. Type in rear everyone shows front.
