I’ve lived in Madrid for 9 years and I’ve been Barcelona based for 4 and a half, and I have to say you described them both properly. The differences remind me of an spanish version of NY-LA. In Madrid people usually eat out, visit museums or expos or go to theater in their free time and in Barcelona people is more interested in hiking, going to the beach, rafting and that kind of stuff. I find it super interesting (I have to say I am a Madrid king of girl if I had to pick one).

I always say Madrid and Barcelona are like Munich and Berlin :-) One is very classy, chic and a bit more traditional and the other is a bit more relaxed, liberal and modern! But I love both - such beautiful cities!

I am turning 30 next year and I have this feeling of 'feeling behind in life'. Why are you asking?
No. We're not using green passes to enter any public places. Don't know what the requirements are to enter the country, but once in, you're pretty much free to go anywhere provided you wear a mask indoors.
