I loved the video and just subscribed still trying for my first coyote I only get one week at Christmas the rest are weekend sits for my traps before I pull in Sunday's but one day it will happen best of luck for the 100
Awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting. I worked for years in retail and know the grind of checking traps at 4 a.m. and skinning after work. Hang in there you'll get that Coyote, then you're hooked!

Probably 5 or fewer a season. Typically, I release them unless they have foot damage. In my area, they're usually tucked up close to towns. I love catching them, though.
Another great video! Why don't you like to use a food based call lure on the step down mouse hole you demonstrated?
The sod set is a post type set that I like the gland type call lure. My other sets, like the step down mouse hole set I typically use a food base call lure. Personally, it's a curiosity thing either way.
Great videos , what would u say the average time it takes for a trap to be in the ground before you get a catch. How many days?
That is a very good question. I think experience and confidence help. Being around or learning from someone who catches also helps. I've often said that I have many different voices in my head from paid instructors to professional trappers I look up to and my mentor especially. So to answer your question. I expect to catch overnight. But I'm not upset when I don't. There are many factors in catching. I don't get upset when I don't catch, I get upset when I miss. Some sets it's overnight and some sets it's a month.

Yes. Absolutely.💯. I won't change either. Best system for the money.
How much pan tension are you using?
I'm running very light. My no bs juniors I use bow wax to help. Personally I try not to worry about it.

About 4 hrs. I'm working around 1,000 acres. Pretty slow lately. I'll stretch out and get in a new area. 125 sets or cables.
I only have 40 total sets here in ND it's really slow not catching anything for weeks now, makes me question myself / Do I know what I'm doing anymore or do I just not have enough sets out
Are they rubbing yet?
Yes. I've had several this last week that were badly rubbed.
