Thanks for working so hard, Janek. You're a great influence.
Indeed
I just love the musical stuff you come up with all these pedals!
Janek! much love to you!
may you ever be happy and healthy!
Thank You for this
Looking forward to see you in São Paulo!
Daily vlogs... Those were the days! :)
Nice to see you back mate ! I was at the London gig of the Quartet where you guys killed it ! You may remember somebody asking you for CD versions of your recordings ! Keep up the vlog and please please make your next recording available on cd ! All the best Mark
Very informative!
You're amazing, absolutely the king of esoteric bass.I'm 63 and want to be like you when i grow up. I've been subbed but I drink tea. That ok ?
I saw that wave in the back there Chelsea🤚🏻
He’s right about the wave forms. I’m on the spectrum and see the waveforms in single notes and tri-tones. I don’t see double stops or chords when more than three notes are played.
Man, you´re gonna be in San Pablo... Come to Buenos Aires too! Last time was killer!
Been a subscriber for a while... Lovin it! Was wondering if you have a place to listen to the "electronic" music work you have done. I built a pedal rig to make jungle basslines and love all your pedal vids, but would like a reference frame for how you have utilized your gear in a mix. Big fan, huge inspiration, and Salud, coffee drinker!
What is the giant pedal stomper on your compressor pedal?
Yes.....you gota know your on fire here ....Right?
the tone I'm going after is MESHUGGAH (for life) and bass tuned @ 432 hz (forever)
Bass tuned to (u guessed it) Meshuggah tuning

I still have to tweak this up a bit, rearrange the order and let' 's see how that goes.
Hi Janek what brand nylon tapewounds do you use? I have major issues with D'addarios rusting beneath the tape and need a more durable alternative.
SodThisGiveMeABeer he might use labellas
I was going to say labellas as well. I've never had D'Adarrios rust though. Had the set on a bass for over a year.
Man, I've had 3 sets die on me in the past year. Moisture seems to get inside, the core rusts and the tape loosens and disconnects. I do get pretty sweaty playing, but the tapewounds on my upright, which I play 20 times as often, have had no issues. Sadly the company that makes them doesn't do them for electric bass.
maybe it's where you live too. I'm in Northern Canada and it's hardly humid. And my hands are very dry.
You have tapewounds on an upright? Or are they just flatwounds?
Yep they're tapewounds - Presto Jazzicato. That's an interesting point, I wouldn't have said the environment but come to think of it the problem only started when I moved closer to the coast/salty air. Even so the D'addarios would seem to be overly susceptible to corrosion. I guess I'll give Labellas a go and hope!
Viva 🇲🇪🇽🇮🇨🇴
should i get the practice room leggings?

@@PilferMusic thanks
Maybe I've lost myself... Where would you place a synth in the effect chain?
Are you asking where to put a synth pedal? Because that’s normally after compression and octave (and maybe fuzz) but some pedals work much better at the very start because quirkiness.
Janek, at 8:08 you say you don't like pedal boards because you want to change the order of pedals. Have you looked at loop switchers like the Gig Rig 2 or the Musicom EFX series? With those, you have each pedal in its own separate loop and the box allows you to create presets to select which ones you want connected and in what order. You could have one preset with looper 1 into looper 2 and another with looper 2 into looper 1 and just switch between them on the fly with no noise and with a single footswitch press. The Gig Rig 2 also allows you to switch things around on the fly so if you want to do something that isn't in a preset, you can just change the settings and do it there and then. It does mean you end up with a bit of a mothership of a pedalboard, but if you're using a lot of effects and want to switch them around a lot as you do in this video, that seems like a much better way than just toting a bag o' pedals around. Cheers!
Plus with a GigRig the resulting That Pedal Show video with Janek would be amazing
I've actually been asking them for an episode on bass for ages and they've always replied back saying it's something they want to do but a big part of why they haven't yet is because they need a well-known bassist who uses lots of effects to come in and help. I think Janek would be fantastic for it!
This needs to happen!
JG!
Coffee
Thanks but terrible audio.
Holy crap... That sounded like arse... People paid to hear this??? Lmao... 😂
I would love to know why it is that, literally without fail, the kind of person like you who takes the time to be an "internet critic", NEVER has anything to show for it. A blank channel. Zero content, and no identity.
I mean, at least we can perhaps respect you for potentially using your actual name to write this pointless negative bullshit. But beyond that, how is it that you consider yourself to be contributing to society by talking shit on a public forum? Not that I care what people think about me, I just wonder about the macro picture, and the mentality it takes to write something like that in plain view for everyone to see.
@@janekgwizdala I admire you for your kindness in your reply here. I also find it incredible how freely some people simply criticise and denigrate others, such as yourself, who actually create and achieve things. I suspect that often, it's simply a child crying out for attention from a grown up.
I wouldn't even credit this kid with the word "critic". I think the word "troll" is more appropriate.
Each pedal just made it sound worse than the last.
u talk too much...keep it short n crisp n to the point.....dont talk about ur previous logs.......
stop talking and get on with it
