  • Kegel exercises help to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Strong pelvic floor muscles can help you push the baby out, and can help speed recovery after delivery.. and most importantly, help you avoid incontinence. 67% of new mothers experience incontinence. Learning how to do a proper Kegel exercise can help you avoid incontinence. Oh Baby! Fitness Senior Instructor Kathleen Donahoe leads us through the way to perform a pelvic floor exercise. If you have any questions about safe pregnancy or mom & baby exercise, go to www.ohbabyfitne...

Total agree. Physiotherapists and professionals in treating the pelvic floor with exercise (make sure they are qualified, there are a lot out there who aren't but think they can still demo an exercise class) are the right people to help and guide you.

I wish you demonstrated the positions... not helpful being lectured about the moves. Such a missed opportunity.

The are 2 good books which are not boring and easy to read. Pelvic Organ Prolapse by expert Sherrie Palm and Hold It Sister by lead physiotherapist Mary Odwyer. They are avail on the net and in all major bookstores. Well worth reading. Pessaries are very helpful (no surgery) but you will need them to be measured and fitted by your doctor. Depends which type of prolapse you have will depend on which type of pessary will be best suited to you. Hope this helps.

Doing Kegels is always helpful, but talk to your doctor or physical therapist about the specific exercises they want you to do to heal your prolapse. If/when they suggest Kegels, this demo video will be of great help.

If you're prolapsed, you'd best go to your doctor. At this stage it is too late I believe.

It would be quite difficult to show the movement of the muscles because it’s an internal movement of the pelvic muscles.
