He makes a huge point. Succeeding from the hate of others over his OWN choice. Its his life and he can live it any way he chooses. Like him or not hes probably been more successful than 99.9% of the people hating on him in this post alone. That's the real funny part.

This dudes a great skater, but I wish he made real hip hop, not the crap southern trap stuff. I wish skateboarding was like it used to be, real music for our culture. What happened to indie rap/hip hop and indie rock being closely associated with skateboarding. Skateboarding is still dope af, but the culture is getting too mainstream and lame. Sad

Regardless of him leaving skating to rap or whatever, I have to agree with him that it's unprofessional to try to blackball him from the skateboarding industry. That would never happen to a pro basketball player that tries to rap. Michael Jordan left basketball to play pro baseball and wasn't that good at it, but he's still highly esteemed and he came back to the NBA afterwords.

It adds up. All the sponsors pay for appearances, being on tour, per clip in videos, etc. Then they have endorsements for even stuff that doesn't even relate to skating like drink sponsors. Plus if they have signature decks, clothes, shoes, etc, they get paid per item sold from the distributor. The bigger the name, the bigger the bucks coming in on all ends. Hell, Sheckler bypassed a million YEARS ago, and he hasn't even been around as long as most of the pro skaters in the game.

(cont) Maybe he didn't know how much he enjoyed skateboarding until he stopped, that's not uncommon. He probably has ADD because he seems very impulsive, that can be good and bad. I have ADD and when I get a serious injury I usually think in my head "Man, I'm done" mostly because at that moment I feel the physical pain isn't worth it, but after I heal and get back on the board I think "Nothing will make me quit". I think a lot of people know this feeling or have friends that do this same thing
