Six months after my grandma passed. I just felt horrible. My neighbor was going to hair school and offered to get me together. She was so sweet. She ended up cutting it very short and coloring it bright copper. Felt like the sun was rising again.
❤️
i’m sorry for your loss i hope your okay now ❤❤
🥺sorry for your loss. This made my heart smile tho
❤❤❤ Keep shining, dear. I hope you're alright now ❤️
❤❤❤❤ Sorry for your loss🙏🏾🙏🏾
I think about 3 months or a little over. I was experiencing severe anxiety and depression. When I finally broke down, I would lay in my bed for weeks at a time depressed, not eating to the point of extreme weight loss. Washing my hair was the last thing on my mind but once I finally washed it, it felt kinda good. Happy to say I haven’t gotten to that point again🙏🏾
I don’t wash my hair that often but the reason is because my hair doesn’t get that oily 😅
About 4 months. BUT I was hospitalized for a horrible infection and I had about 3 back surgeries in that time, too. I couldn't wash my hair. But the amount of growth I had was amazing!
OMG literally me too. it was 4 months and I was hospitalized for an infection while having a sickle cell crisis. I had 5 surgeries and has sepsis.
over 2 months I be trying to make my braids last forever ☺
Get that money worth 🤑🤣🤑🤣🤑
@@jasminehaywood7682 that part 😂
1 month max because I always wear box braids but my scalp after 2 weeks feels like it’s on fire 🔥
That’s my girl I did the exact same thing 😀
😢
Just about 2 months for me lol it’s a lot of work
I went 6 months (due to depression) and my hair broke pretty bad in the middle. Never did that again smh.
i know it sucks. mine was 4 months but you’re so strong! i’m so proud of you ❤
Same, couldn’t help my own self sucks
90 days has been my longest as well. I am lazy with my hair. 😂
Yassss natural hair wash day is a lot for me I procrastinate also usually wash my hair 5 -6 times a year and my hair is healthy & has grown to be down my back
I Hope it’s okay to ask , does your scalp feel itchy ?
I probably only wash my hair 4 times a year. Yet it just keeps growing and looking healthier not sure why but alright.
Eyyyyyyyyyy
How do you prevent your scalp from itching?
@@Milagrosblanco684 I also only wash my hair every 3 months or so. Thankfully, I don't sweat on my head that much, so my hair doesn't itch or smell. Plus I live in a state that stays cold for about 6 months out of the year. But I also I'm not crazy or heavy handed with products on my hair. So dial back on the scalp oiling every other day, and use sulfur8 ointment after wash and when you feel an itch session coming. It doesn't smell great, but it does the job, and you can mix it in with a better smelling product If you want.
Yep!
For many of us, out hair tends to grow healthier and longer when it’s a bit dirty and untouched. Less manipulation helps reduce strain which leads to breakage. And the “dirt” is basically buildup of moisture, and sweat which is protecting out hair I guess. So that’s why our hair tends to grown when it’s left up for a while, but too long can lead to locking.
90 days too 😂
I need YOU to get on board! 3 months!!! The poor people that have to sit with you
From 2012 (the year I went on my natural hair journey/ learned how to actually care for my hair) until now, I'll say a month...BUT when I was younger? longgg periods of time. Growing up my mother never really taught me or my sisters about feminine hygiene, or just how to care for ourselves or our hair. When my sisters and I were in elementary school we were already trying to figure out how to do our own hair. So needless to say, the idea of washing your hair every week or two was very foreign to me. It was something I had to learn. Back then I would probably only get my hair washed about 4x a year, so I guess about every 3 months/90 days. Fast forward to now, I try to wash my hair every 2 weeks, unless I'm sick or something. I've tried doing it every week but it just doesn't work for me and my lifestyle.
You’re so beautiful!
Both inside and out.
Continue reigning, Queen.
3 months, I don't wash my hair until it's been 1 month. My hair is healthy n thick n beautiful. People fail to realize different hair textures require different things, that includes with washing as well. While some may need to wash they hair every 1/2 weeks cause it gets oily, other may not need to wash for 1/2 months cause of how drying it is.
3 or 4 months, but the thing about our hair is it doesn’t smell, it’s no dandruff, no buildup just extremely tangled. That’s it
Girl YOUR hair dosent smell and has no dandruff and buildup. I’m a distance runner…. Imagine if I waited 3-4 months to wash any part of my body. I think this only works for people who don’t exercise.
If you live in a cold climate, I'll say yes but if you live in a highly hot and humid industrial city like Lagos in Nigeria, then you can't do this.
Your hair does smell after not washing it for 3-4 months. Honestly, it’ll usually start to stink after 2 weeks. You just can’t smell it, you become nose blind to it.. -a hairstylist.
Your natural hair is so beautiful!
See so I'm not alone🤣 I definitely left my knotless braids in way too long
Trust me it will grow your hair, I never stay longer than two weeks with braids extensions etc, yesterday for the very first time I took out my braids that I had since November 27 and I was 😮
I think what causes was causing me hair loss was washing my hair too much, I used to wash my hair 3 or more time a week
Destiny I’m so happy for you I can’t believe how far you’ve come, I’ve been watching your vids since your relaxed days even tho I don’t relax my hair
I have reached a point where I would rather invest in a quality natural hairstylist. I only go so long between washes because I dread the processes of hair care & my hair is suffering because of it.
All that pretty natural hair😍😍😍😍
It’s not nasty. Unless you’re in a hot climate or you exercise hard every day or you have scalp issues, it’s perfectly possible to go that long without your hair smelling horrible. Especially if you’re using a spray (something like a daily tea tree spray) or dry shampoo or you’re not overly active. I can’t do that long because I have sebhorrea and my scalp would get flaky and disgusting. But not everyone has that problem.
Your complexion is so clear I love your skin
i love how transparent you are you’re so pretty!
Baby, thank you. THANK YOU for telling us honestly how long you went without washing your hair I’ve gone so long without washing mine. I fucking LOVE YOU 😍
You Slayed your hair Lady❤.
Can we be friends! I love your spirit!
7 months! I was experimenting. I did spot clean though. Luckily I am not one of those who sweat a lot and it was winter cause I get dry.
Result: 4 inches of growth.
And no stinky smells
Look at you all grown up. I haven't seen one of your videos in years. You look great! ☺️
Suave with Shea butter.... I will be on the lookout for this product.
Yes scrub gloves be having my skin so soft and removes build up and strawberry legs
Pro tip from a North African here … when washing your body make sure to rinse first your whole body turn off the Fossett when your body feels just damp use a body scrubbing glove on your skin without any products (it’s better if you use quite hot water for the rinse and make sure your shower is also steamy) and scrub slowly till you get those dead skin flakes coming off it will look nasty … rinse your body and proceed with a gel shower this time using a loofa and trust me you will feels like you have baby skin
Im gonna try this way. Thanks for the tips!
You know your son better than anyone else ! You have the right to raise him how you see fit and what works best for your family ! Being a parent is hard especially when you’re mostly doing it on your own! No one knows how difficult and rewarding it can be especially with a child who has special needs the work is a lot more challenging! May God make it easy for you and reward you for being a good mom ! Anyone judging you or feeling like you should go super easy on me doesn’t know your daily life and what’s best for your son ❤ I think it’s amazing you give him breaks and encourage him and protect him ! It’s so valuable to not only have a mom who wants you to be safe but also knows your limits and when you need to step away. I think it’s also so amazing you’re teaching him responsibilities by doing his chores because we need more children boys and girls learning to lool after themselves regardless of gender so they grow up to be adults who can care for themselves. Good job Kym ❤❤❤ love this amazing crunchy , powdery and dusty edit ! Love the variety of colors 💙💚💜🩷♥️
Stunning🤩👍🏿
Ohhhh I've gone like 2 months 😂😂😂 the curls have me struggling
90 days in braids sounds AMAZINGGGGGG the longest I have gone without washing my hair was 4 months….90 days should be a cake walk CAN’T WAIT!
It's good to know I'm not the only one who don't wash her her that much. 3-4 months no a accident for me 😁
Me too girl😀
Lmaoooooo I would say a month love you destiny 😂
Do not use Suave as your only shampoo in 90days. Use something like Moroccan oil heavy deep moisturizer it’s made for curly fine hair
90 days for me too. It's in corn rolls. I hate washing my hair. I typically, wash it once a month.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY STUNNING OMG!!!
Loving your nails, did you do them?
Usually 6 to 8 weeks. I keep my natural hair either in braids or twist. Plus, I'm tender headed.
There’s really no need to wash your hair unless there is build up present . You can do it when you like but I only wash my hair when I feel like it’s dirty from product build up. My hair is close to waist length now bc for me the constant washing was just drying my hair
when you hair was drying up, would you scalp itch?
@@ruvimbopasi6214 sometimes not all the time but in those cases I just use oils or my conditioner and water to moisturize. Always remember itching is your scalp trying to tell you something it either is dry and needs moisture or it needs to be cleaned if it’s oily and you feel buildup
Omg you are so gorgeous ❤
I like how realistic this is
Nearly a whole year! I was like 12 and in a bad situation when my mom had to go to rehab I didn’t really understand and I wasn’t told why it was like my aunty and grandma just sent her away for a year in my eyes, surprisingly I still have my hair and I just need to get the ends trimmed then I’ll be back on board.
I kept tryna get a proper look at your nails... they look gorgeous😍😂
I would have sores on my scalp
I love those gloves best ever.
It’s honestly a blur but I know it was 3 months or more.
Love this one from Suave. It just hits different!
I co-wash my hair EVERY MORNING (conditioner only). I wash with a sulfate-free shampoo probably once a month.
I love that shampoo and conditioner it’s $10 for the set and does wonders for my hair ❤
Looks good
Gorg hair Gorg girl
i once didn’t wash my hair for a month due to depression, it was never oily though, just a bit of dandruff (i have thick wavy/curly hair naturally so that’s probably why)
the first 4 months of my deployment to Afghanistan. about 3 weeks after we arrive I woke up in mid air from a mortar attackl one had landed to close to our modular housing that my bed bounced off the floor. one of them landed in the civilian camp and we had actual casualties, after that, it took me about 4 months to work up the courage to be in an enclosed space for more then 5 minutes. sleeping was out of the question, eating meant having to spend time in the bathroom so I mostly stopped that too. Ironically, surviving a second attack 4 months later shook me out of it.
3 months I try to keep a style as long as possible
❤️ your hair air care videos.
Pretty! 2 weeks is the longest time lol I had just finished accutane so my body was creating like no oil and I was traveling abroad so I said screw it!
Girl you're so pretty and that's the length if my hair toooo😝you got a new subscriber 😅
Your hair is so pretty
Beautiful healthy hair, guess I better try suave 😂
BE 90DAYS ON THE 15 FOR ME TO QUEEN .BUT AM GOING TO FIX IT SOON I FEEL BETTER ❤❤
YESSS SIS!🙋🏾♀️
Love the routine and by the way Queen, you are beautiful 🙏🏽.
About 90 days too... These braids become way too convenient and too time consuming to take out cause it's most definitely a whole day process when I take them out probably two lol 😂😂😂
I wash my hair every week 1,2 or 3 times a week bc I hate when my hair is dirty
Omg !! I remember watching your channel when you were transitioning and didn’t even have a lot of followers! Glad to see you with your Afro, more successful and in HD, and u still have your accent lol
2 weeks...and that's only because I was sick with Covid. I usually wash my hair 1-2 times a week (depending on how much I exercise and sweat).
When i moved 4 months and i regret it i gotta wash it now 😢😅
Definitely 3 months…I only wash my hair when I’m about to flat iron it (about every 2 months) or after I take out braids lol 🤷🏾♀️
Sis same 😂😂😂
Wow 😲 girl your hair looks good.
1 month
because of being sick!
but bounce back with my natural care wash day!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Sis it's nobody's business how long you took to wash your hair!!! It's my hair, it's my braids, it's my cornrows! Be blessed
When I was younger I went around 7 months since my mother needed to work all the time
90 days, girl you gotta have critters living in there 😅
You look pretty
Looks amazing!
Absolutely gorgeous
Use a heated dryer queens so conditioner is penetrating not just sitting there.
I think for a year or more, my grandma read online that I shouldn't shampoo so I didn't but after a while I started shampooing
Classy a f gurl u rock!
Your hair texture looks just like mine yayy
My hair starts flaking after like 5 days. Too much product will have it looking crazy, but I’ve done 6 weeks. Possibly 8 with braids. Anything longer and my skin breaks out.
I have dermatitis so once a week .. I can’t do braids anymore because my scalp gets inflamed I can’t do any style that totally covers my sclap
@@helena3631 dermatitis is caused by low vitamin d and b12 make sure you're supplementing.
I love that shampoo. It’s my go to.
Wonderful video my friend. I'm your fan+👍🔔
You have beautiful hair
🗣 "Scrub it off of you love!" ✅️😂😂😂
I feel like this notion of only washing your hair every few months holds us down . Don’t do it purposely, it’s so hard to bounce back. Ironically, the more I deep condition/ wash my type 4 hair the more manageable it became. Now it’s at its full potential.
I used to practice this but it’s important to note that just bc our hair doesn’t fall out doesn’t mean the dryness won’t compound and hinder it.
Ladies, start deep conditioning your hair 1-2 weekly and find out!
A pull out mirror???? Details Please!!🥰
Wow such gorgeous hair 🫶🏻
Girl that hair is gorgeous ❤🎉 bruh I want pretty hair like yours🎉
What did you moisturizer your hair with when you wasn’t washing it ?
Except for when I had braids or weave in my hair, the longest I’ve gone is probably 2 weeks.
U look beautiful natural😊❤️
Everyone talking about the hair
While im over here like
“Them nails be slaying”
Girl I've been using exfoliating gloves for over 20yrs, been wonderful
Beautiful Hair ✨
Probably two months because I had box braids in which is no excuse because I could have washed the braids but I got it done and just went on with life.
