Finally I find someone with actual 4c hair I can relate to! 😪 I was about done of the clickbait "4c hair videos" and when I watch the video the person doesn't actually have 4c hair just dry hair 🙄
Girl I feel you! Some use it for views but I’m glad you are here ❤️
ON MEEE!!! I already have my 4c hair routine down after years. I hate that clickbait stuff for 4c hair like all they want is views and they are so ignorant. I don’t like the stereotype that 4c hair is dry and so hard to manage. I’m 15 and without a lot of products (I literally use white ppl conditioner since my mom doesn’t want to buy a better one and she know nothing about natural hair), I’m able to grow my hair and it passes my collarbone now. 4c hair isn’t as hard to manage as ppl say it is
I feel ur pain sis😪
Me too🤣🤣
I love that at 15 you love your hair💕
Can we just appreciate that this video is exactly 11:11 minutes long!
Right! It was meant to be
I was about to comment the same 😂
I’ve been trying to manifest something and i randomly picked this video without even noticing the length of the video! I appreciate you Jenn and you too Debbie bc without this comment i wouldn’t have recognized the angel number 🤍🤍
111
What does 11:11 signify?
Thank you for this! I’m turning 11 soon so I want to learn how to do my own hair and this is the first step.
Yes!! Start young learning this!!
Smart girl way ahead of your time keep it up.
❤️👏🏾
Yes queen!💃🏾

The first REAL 4c hair video I’ve seen👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🤦🏽♀️🙌🏽
Yesss
Exactly
The first time I'm actually seeing a real 4c hair type CZcamsr .this is my hair
Yessss!!
I’m so in love with black hair..I can’t keep my hands out of my OWN head. My husband stay playing in my head. Uh! This Crown is EVERYTHING!
😂😂😂 love it!
you are megalomaniac af🤣
I cannot tell you what a relief it is to finally find a real 4c girl doing informative hair videos on CZcams!
Wow, thank you!
I didn’t even get through the full video before hitting subscribe.
1. When I see your hair I see my hair. Real, beautiful, unadulterated 4c hair
2. Simply off the strength of the fact that you said, “oil is not a moisturizer”. Music to my ears. I cringe every time someone says they used olive oil/almond oil/castor oil to moisturize their hair.
3. Your voice is so calming to listen to 🥰
Bola Adebesin thank you for the kind words! My goal is to educate us black women so that we see the beauty in our hair and pass it in to future generations ❤️
Same Here Bola! Thanks Jenn!🥰
Same here 😁
Bola Adebesin me too
Hey ladies, have a look at our Queen Bean Shampoo and Hair Butter designed for natural hair with high porosity.
Its on sale now on our site Mastoora Shop.
A TRUE 4c girl!!! Jenn you’re so amazing and very much appreciated! 👑💜👑
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching sis x
4C/High Porosity
The snap back after the co-wash was beautiful. As a fellow 4C, I have a huge love-hate relationship with shrinkage, but it’s more love than anything. No other hair type in the world behaves like ours. We’re unique. I love 4C hair, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Facts I get compliments all the time n no lie about the shrinkage
Same i just hate our hair too hard work
im from florida too
I would trade it for dirt on the floor. I hate it so much 😒
@@arielringo2141it’s crazy how we’re really the only ones with hair like this. Like why make everything hard for us 😩
This is the first video where I see my actual hair type 😭. Sis, God bless you
😊 thank you. Representation matters!
Ooo
Finally, someone with hair actually similar to my texture. Tired of all the kinky curly girls calling it 4c. I was like I must be 4d or e then
Saaaame!
I totally agree. They already have curly wavy hair so how is it 4c. As soon as I click on their videos I click back off. A waste of time listening to lies.
True lol...our race has the most diverse types of hair because of genes.....some of us has fast hair growth others dont....some curly some kinky etc
Watching some good 4c hair being cared for is so therapeutic I found out.
In between washes I've started adding my leave-in and oil (jojoba) and then covering my hair with a plastic bag for 15-30 minutes. It's been an absolute game changer for my hair. My hair is low porosity, so this allows the leave-in to properly get in my hair.
that sounds amazing! Low porosity hair needs that extra help :)
fattysl26 I do this as well and will actually leave the cap on overnight and then style the next morning. You’re right, a complete game changer. My hair has grown so much since I started doing this!
Gotta try this but with blue magic hair grease. Oil drys my hair so bad. Do you do this while your hair is in twists or no?
Wow. Will try this too.
fattysl26 I started doing the same thing
This is the most detailed I’ve seen for a while on how to moisturize dry hair. Thanks
Glad it was helpful! That space is so saturated. Everyone does something different I fine and that it fine. Natural hair isn't a one size fits all but I keep my routine simple so people can relate. x
Jenn Jackson Since last year I’ve doing your LB (or Lc method). They are too drying for my hair
THIS IS TWO YEARS LATER MARCH 4TH 2023 AND I DECIDED I WANT TO GO NATURAL AFTER HAVING THE PERM SINCE I WAS 16 I'M NOW 55, I APPRECIATE SEEING THIS MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I CAN MANAGE MY 4C HAIR 🙏🏾🤗🔥👏🏾👏🏾💃👑💯 GOD BLESS YOU
Another tip I liked for checking moisture was seeing how springy my hair is. If you stretch it and it fully bounces back immediately it's nice and moisturized. When my hair is getting dry it will slowly shrink back up. When it's dry dry my hair will stay stretched out. Hope this helps someone!
Wow, real 4C content with PRACTICAL tips! This is something I can follow, commit to, and use to re-learn my hair. So grateful to stumble on this channel!
How are you doing today my name is Winston Moore
Thank you for this. I been learning how to figure my hair out as a man who's had short hair all his life. You ladies making these videos are giving my tight "angry" 4c hair the gift of knowledge it needs. Im so grateful
It’s so difficult trying to go from relaxed to natural on your own after years of your mom putting in chemicals, so I definitely need this. Hopefully it improves for me 🙊
I totally agree! It's like a culture shock! But if you care for your hair and figure out what it needs, It will definitely flourish. Just know that natural hair behaves different than chemically relaxed hair. x
Yess more real 4c content 😍 never knew about the LB method ill definitely be trying it out! Thanks💕
Girlll! It's heaven sent for lazy naturals x

You are right. They are few.
Neither does 4B. Type 4B is nearly impossible to find. More like impossible. Let alone 4BC hair. It’s frustrating.
The shrinkage is a love/hate relationship 😂
I'm 🎉4bc.😅
I love how you acknowledge the importance of water! Not afraid of it. Your hair is so pretty and you nurture it so well 😍🙌🏽
Thank you so much!! Moisture is KEY!
Pretty and she works HARD at it♥️♥️♥️
I have 4c hair and I'm happy to have found a real 4c hair video most of these videos definitely don't have 4c texture.

When I type in "natural" everybody always has blow dryed curly hair
So I'll need to start typing in 4c hair
Thanks so much for this

I do the shower steam too! And let my wet hands run through my hair but not overly drenched. 4c tips and tricks!!
YESSSS!! Sooo effective, yet simple. and I can't "forget" lol because well... shower is life. x
I find this interesting bc I always cover my hair in the shower to keep it from getting wet, I guess I'll try this tonight 😅
How often do you do this method, or how often would you recommend? I've always worn a shower cap and didn't even recognise how the steam from the shower would be adding that extra bit of steam. I have dense, low pro hair. x
This is exactly what I planned to do to my hair today.. perfect timing
yesss girl! Get that moisture in x

Finally someone with my hair type. Im so happy. Loved this vid 🙌🏾🙌🏿
Yes! Your hair texture is just pretty. Very thick and really 4c, I must say! I'm currently transitioning and I remember the time (way back in school) my hair was this thick and long. Congrats and thank you for this detailed info. It helps me not to give up!
I don’t have 4c hair but I tried this method cause I have SUPER DRY hair and it worked!!! Thank you🙏🏾🤍🤍
I've been following your channel for awhile and I'm increasingly more impressed with the content you put out. Great representation for us 4c girls and lazy naturals. You're already my favorite natural hair youtuber. Keep doing your thing Jenn.
I appreciate that! Thank you so much love! Means a lot to me x
Your videos are always so informative. Kinky girls needed you. Again, glad you’re back
Thank you 🙌🏽❤️ so glad to be back 😅
Looking at your hair in a non stretched state was amazing, it looks so healthy! You have beautiful hair.
Thank you :)
This was a great video i found myself smiling at a certain point and realized its been a while since i enjoyed a natural hair video ❤ thanks for that!
Love everything about this video. Definitely subscribed after watching. Your shower dancing was cracking me up.
Yay! Thank you! You cannot be in the shower without practicing these moves LOL
I appreciate you sis! This is 1 of few and only I’ve seen so far of 4C content that is 100% the truth! and reflects my own hair and methods. I do all of this and have seen growth because of it. You’ve got a new Subbie and I will definitely be sharing! 🙌🏾❤️
Absolutely loved the video!!! We need more tutorials like these in the 4C community!! I feel more confident after watching this!

Heeey girl!! 👋🏾 It’s been such a long time. I love your routine, it’s so similar to mine lol! I’m so happy to see you back with hair that is thriving girl! *hugs* Missed you sis! 💜
Hey love! Omg it has been a while! How are you? Thanks for watching sis x
Jenn Jackson I’m doing well. Drinking water, feeling good. 😂 Glad to see you back, sis.
I can never thank you enough❤️❤️, literally the only video one needs to learn moisturizing their 4C hair.
You're so welcome! So glad it was helpful x
I'm so happy I found this channel... It's so hard to find a real 4c hair on internet... I'm going through my second transition trying to keep my hair natural. Thank you so much!

So helpful, Jenn!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insights.
I'm doing the shower hydration trick and it's really good, especially for the in-between days when your hair needs moisture!
theres SUCH a difference between channels with actual information vs those cosigning popular opinions combined with an appealing esthetic backdrop

Thank you so much for this video. I was just about to give up on my hair. I was going to cut it off. I’ve been experiencing lots of shedding and breakage. But I watched this video, twice, and took notes. Today, I followed your routine exactly. I had so little shedding and the whole wash day experience was 1000% better. Will continue to use this routine and use this quarantine time to get to know my hair... again. This is take 6!
Wow that is AMAZING! Thank you for coming back and letting me know. I have been where you were and I am so glad you found this video helpful! This is why i do this 🙌🏽🙌🏽
This was hands down THE BEST video on moisturizing 4c hair. Thank you.
I love love that idea of putting the oil, deep conditioner & water in a spray bottle.I will do this from now on.Thank you 4c sis.
Thank you so much Jenn for this tutorial. My hair is very similar to your hair, tight coils w/major shrinkage. I shaved my head bald the day after New Year’s to begin my natural hair journey and started consistently using hair oils and massaging my scalp to stimulate growth. However I’ve been suffering from patchy breakage. I realize recently that I’ve been ignoring the moisturizing portion of my hair routine so finding this video has given me some tools to repair the damage I’ve done to my hair.
Thanks again, peace & blessings.
This is my hair texture! Yessss ❤ People will say my hair looks dry but it really isn't 🤦🏽♀️ I literally do all these things!--When I'm not being lazy lol. I find twist outs to be difficult because my hair doesn't really "hang" so I'd want to see you do a twist out🤔
My hair doesn't hang either sis! We must have the same hair. I'll do a simple twistout video. x
Same type of hair here ladies. Also doesn’t hang. I keep my hair is twists. Thanks for this video!
Going Steady l Christian Relationship Advice ppl have said the same to me glad to know it’s not me you know
I found out that if you want your hair to "hang", you have to use water and products liberally. It is the heaviness of water and/or products that adds it weight and makes it hang. I am a 4c natural who learned this by doing.
@@katejimbo1938 do you use ECOstyler gel or any type of gel at all, to make your hair hang? I've been wanting to try that.
This video is the best! My hair used to break all the time! Since finding this vid I have followed the advice and oh my gosh! Brilliant! My hair is softer since finding the right method for my hair and breakage is so minimal! I have forwarded to friends. Thank you Jenn!! 😊😁🧡
OMG you are a life saver. I am planning on going natural and I did not know where to start. Thank You.
I love how real your videos are! Glad to see another genuine 4c natural, who is also lazy (just like me) out in these streets lol. I feel like lately youtube been finding me actual 4c people to watch and I'm here for it ❤!
Now THIS is my hair type! Finally!
Thank you so much..this is the first actual 4c hair that I've ever seen. I can literally see my hair. 🙈🙈
I am amazed by the small amount of shedded hair. My hair is triple or more of that with every process(wash, moisturizing, twisting, all).
I am a 4c and happy to see our hair is just as beautiful. It took me to 40+ to embrace my natural hair. My boyfriend loves it. Your natural beauty shines with your 4c hair and natural styles.❤
I'm convinced this video was made with my question in mind...all in all thanks for this. Moisturizing my hair now 💜💜💜
Yesss girl to give your hair some moisture! Glad this video was helpful! x
Chile! That "oil will not moisturize your hair" was enough. But THEN you brought the butter in! I washed my hair, gave it a little leave-in, and decided to apply shea butter while it was still wet (true 4c so you know it wasn't dripping after what, 5 minutes?!!). GIRL!!! God bless you - unbelievable moisture! The shea sealed all of that water in. My hair is so soft. I have to get the balance right on the shea as I went a little overboard, but this has been life-changing. TY JJ!!!
Omg finally someone with actually 4c hair! Thank you for the tips. I am newly natural (1 year since big chop) and have been relaxed since the age of 6. I don’t want to go back but ya girl been struggling! Definitely subscribing to your channel.
I recognize my hair in this video! 4C low porosity (l think that's low....water beads up on my hair like it did on hers, and products sits on the hair if you don't work it in), but yes her hair is my hair, thus if I follow her instructions I can expect to get a result that looks like hers. 3 cheers for a real 4C gal🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾!
How are you doing today my name is Winston Moore and how is the weather over there
So grateful for this video,,very informational and is the first video that hasn't confused me🤣

Thank you so much for your videos sister!! I'm finally learning at 22 how to take care of my crown.
You got this! So happy you decided to be on this journey! x
I tried the the Leave-In Conditioner, Haitian Castor oil, a few drops of Fenugreek Oil with water in my squirt bottle, AND I have been putting my plastic cap on at night with a scarf to hold it in place (Jerri Curl days). All of this is helping my hair to hold onto more moisture, and dare I say, it is responding well, and it has been two weeks since I first viewed this Video you put up. Thanks
Absolutely love your hair !! This is true 4c hair finally a video I can relate to! I love your process. I have been doing this way also and it’s great for growth !
This is the best moisturising video I’ve seen, new subbbb😝❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this! I was wondering why my hair was so crunchy after a few days of me washing/deep conditioning/oiling... Lol. Will definitely be using these tips, hydrating in the shower and re-twisting... Especially since I'm not leaving the house... 🙄
Exactly! right now is the best time to care for our hair x
I’m so happy I started copying you with the LB method. My hair now stays moisturised for a week, instead of just 2/3 days with the cream and oils. Thank you!
Ahh so glad it’s helpful!
JEN!!!! U saved my 4c Hair!!! Girl, my hair thanks you. Girl, this video has been a true blessing to me. Thank you for being transparent. ☺
I'm so glad!!! thanks for the kind words sis x
I LOVE this video! Thanks for being so thorough and clear.
Thanks for sharing your moisturizing routine with the viewers as this was extremely helpful for me. My hair gets dry as well and I’m always looking for new and improved ways to add moisture to my tresses. I’ve been washing it a lot which I need to stop doing but I’m obsessed with clean hair that smells nice.
Find a good balance. If you watch a lot, find a gentle shampoo and also moisturize and seal afterwards ❤️
The conditioner/oil/water spray has changed my life. I've been doing it for years and I'm so excited to see someone else doing it too! I'm the laziest natural ever, but my hair loves that spray mix and as long as I don't do too much, my haor grows an insane amount

This is the first video I found two weeks ago on how to moisturizer my dry 4c hair an when I say I’m sooooo happy I found this video I’m beyond happy. I did all steps except for the oil an when I tell you the small amount of shedded hair I have OMG 🥰🥰 Jen hun thank you. Now to get some hang time lol
Water is moisture!!! Many of us are afraid of getting our hair wet because of shrinkage. I used to be that way until I realized that shrinkage or not, water is not the enemy. I have seen my hair flourish since then. And yes! LB works. Oils are never enough to seal my hair (no matter how much I apply). If I don't seal with butter, my hair becomes dry in no time. Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
LILLIANNN! Yes so many of us stay away from water, but that is the NUMBER 1 MOISTURIZER! Oils aren't enough for me either, we must have similar hair strands x
@@JennJackson I think we do.
I am definitely on the LB/LCB bandwagon! This has been the best way to keep my hair soft and moisturized.
It's so good!

Hi
What hair butter & Hair oil do you used on your hair?
This was the most informative video on keeping our natural kinky curly moistuized and feel it works on all textures of natural kinky coily/curly hair whether it's 4C or whatever. I've been doing this moisture maintenance two to three times per week for a few months, depending on the weather here in Florida.
Perfect video! You educated and shared really great information. I learned more in your short video than watching 10 others that just talk or who don’t demonstrate. And you focused strictly on haircare. I will immediately create the little “concoction “ you shared. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! P. S. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!
So much of this video is so true!
Listen to your hair!
I used to try to stretch my styles like some youtubers would recommend but I realized that I could only wear my hair out for like 2 days maximum before it dried out! I also used to avoid washing my hair or moisturizing because of the stress of it but I had to learn quick tricks that worked for me.
I used to wear wigs a lot but my edges suffered and I was neglecting my hair.
Mini twists have been saving my life. I do a cleanse and treatment and then twist my hair into mini twists. These allowed me to moisturize my hair literally everyday if I wanted (which I did). Every morning I’d spray my hair with water, use my leave in conditioner (which has Shea butter) and then seal with whatever oil I had handy. I’d keep them in for about 2-3 weeks and repeat. My hair is GROWING! And it’s moisturized to a point it’s never been before. Before my hair used to feel “superficially” moisturized but now I feel like the consistency has penetrated to my roots! My ends always tell me the health of my hair. Which is why I’m always sure to saturate my ends with my product.
My hair and I are in a good place.
I think I also used to fear wearing my natural twists as is. I always used to rock twist outs! Now, I only loose out the twists when I’m really dressing up and wanna get fancy.
I also had a really good trim at the beginning of the year that helped to kick start my healthy hair journey.
Thats amazing! This is exactly why I say that moisture is a journey - not a destination. You have to KEEP at it and then your hair will STAY moisturized! Thank you for sharing sis! love it!
What’s the name of the products you use
I realized thick leave ins are the best for my hair and really changed the game for my 4c hair
Right? My hair laughed at these little mists/ hair milks
I’m 4c also and have never thought to try leave in conditioner.... definitely gonna try!!!!
This is the realest 4c hair I’ve ever seen on this app. ❤️❤️❤️😇
Thank you :)
The shrinkage is so beautiful! I can tell that your hair is happy and healthy!
We run away from shrinkage but it is a sign of healthy hair 🙌🏽
Thank you for this! I've suffered breakage in the past 2 weeks, I've lost so much hair I can see my scalp in some places and I have thick hair. . I won't give up on my hair just yet and give this a try!
You got this! Find out what is going on. Is your hair really dry?
LB method works! It’s also cutting down on steps since you can go right into styling with just those two products alone.
EXACTLY!!! and some days, aint nobody got time for a trillion steps! x
I do this method too but it is actually the LCB method because the first step used is water. As a high porosity natural I also add aloe vera juice on top of my leave in for optimal moisture and it keeps my hair soft for days.
@@jk9084 I use alone juice, cream, gel and then butter. I practically live in steched wash n gos idk why but my hair dies out in twist outs
This is a great routine and some great tips Jenn! Thanks for sharing and love your content ❤️❤️❤️

11:11 I’m on month 3 of my journey and so in love! I can’t wait until my fro sprouts to your length. I had locs for about 5 years they were down my back I did the big chop because at the time I wasn’t living right and hair ( antennas) hold energy! Also I noticed my locs damaged my edges from the weight and styled castor oil and time grew my edges back 💗💗

loved this tutorial*😍 and it really is like you say, to do it well you need to figure whether the hair looks dry or feels dry
This video is actually so helpful omg I wouldn't know when I should start moisturizing my hair again after I moisturized it also shea butter really is the goat!
Seeing you manipulate your hair I’m like I am she and she is me. My hair acts just like your hair when it’s dry no comb in sight !
Dry hair is no joke! x
My hair is constantly breaking, always moisture. I recently started doing so and it seems like it works.
