I recently got myself a brand new Xbox, but instead of putting the boring black box in my living room I decided to customize it with trash to give it that cyberpunk / steampunk / crazy chaotic scientist vibe instead!

What a beautiful disco mansion! I am envious of your takeout boxes and other lovely junk. And that shoutout really caught me off guard, thank you!!
currently recreating your howls moving castle. Having adult money when youre a kid at heart and finding inspiring people like the good makers of youtube is a dangerous combination :*
Heey, thank you for all the amazing stuff you create!! 💜
hey Studson Studio you should make a crossout kitbash.
You are my two favorite creators, so I loved the shoutout. ❤️
Any chance of a collaboration?
I would LOVE to see a collab between you two

I went and got a lot of green poster boards as I was walking home some older people wanted to know what my sign was gonna say I simply said nothing I plan to take all the green out, it didn't work as all my paper came off the wall.
That's not very nice
My 59 year old mum has always been so strict and annoying and never creative but I FORCED her to watch this and now a month later she created a mini town with trash and foam 😂😂😂
The artistic eye and patience of this woman is next to none. Bravo on this awesome piece. Truly one of a kind
An artist's eye is so keen that it can detect a misplaced piece by the power of thought. And her patience? She could teach a sloth to run a marathon in slow motion. Don't get me wrong, she is extraordinary, I love the CZcams nomination.
oh we got a better artist here in the comment i guess@@clementinadrumond5745
The fan rattling is definitely a feature, not a flaw. Just need to add some florescent light "hum" noise to compliment it!
I had literally thought to myself, "this reminds me of a Studson Studio build" and she immediately gave him a shoutout. I love the maker side of CZcams- the skill sharing and support for other creators is awesome.
Exactly! I follow a lot of different niches and rabbit holes on CZcams, but the only one that actually feels like a *community* is the maker one
@@ettaz them and the historical clothing community are indeed amazing.
I love that most of the Costube community not only knows each other, but is on the same group chat. I enjoy watching Bernadette Banner and Sewstine even though I've never sewn a dress. But then, I've never done carpentry either and here I am. If only I had more time for hobbies.
Same! Love it
You're like a mad scientist possessed by a kid. Love the Xbox. I think I'm going to try this. Nothing dumb about that piece of art. It's fantastic
I started out watching Sims 4 builds, but CZcams recommended you (after it had successfully introduced me to Studson Studio) and I am forever grateful. Not only is your creativity from a different planet and are your skills the real deal, you also have that incredible energy and charm; your videos always pull me up when I'm tired and in a slump. I've been trying not to binge too much to save some of your videos for later so I don't run out so fast, but I could watch you for hours and just be happy. 😊 Thank you for sharing your craft and for being you!
As I'm watching the build, I mention to my friend how the things that's being done is very much like Studsons Studio, and as I said it, his name gets mentioned on the video. Awesome seeing professionals can keep learning from each other.
HAH SAME
Actually same I love Studsons Studio I even followed one of his friends but to know that he’s so resourceful and other professionals learned from that is super dope.
Came here to say the exact same thing!!!
My only concern is how hot it makes the outer shell and if there is any issues with the ventilation. but it looks great XD
I don't think the bottom or top are obstructed, which is where all the air flow moves through, so should be fine cooling wise!
@@wiegraf9009if the top is blocked then shes screwed because those holes are there because there isnt any other cooling so i hope she atleast put a few holes in top
@@BeingMyself__ If you look closely you can see that the facade is built up from the sides and there is actually nothing on that top venting area, it's left completely as is so the air flow should be just about as good as stock.
@@wiegraf9009 no. even if air is coming in she left the case on then put an extra one outside it.. BIG nono. my ps3 slim overheated just yesterday from being in a large ventilated cabinet instead of on the floor. this she built is NOT safe and it is NOT a practical design at all. the case of the system shouldve been removed. the components inside need been put in sane places to accommodate any change. also she doesnt check the materials to see if they are a fire hazard and being from such cheap toys they might be. that could result in someones death and is being left as a feasible way to mod a system it blankly isnt. and there are really good systems cases out there people could and should pay good money for being ignored.
@@bobspence5322 bro its her xbox and her arts and crafts project . go watch those customizations then
Your editor is an incredible artist in his own right. This is the best quality editing I've seen in years.
after it's painted, it's so perfect that it doesn't feel at all like it could have been made out of trash, this is actually incredible, so freaking good
I can definitely see the inspiration from Studson, but the end result aesthetic is so _Nerdforge_ it's a sight to behold! Speaking of end results, my favourite thing about the channel has always been the gorgeous End Result presentation-- like yess, give me those slow-mo, mood-lit, panning shots from every angle baby!!
I would love to make something like this myself someday, so thank you for the inspiration- I guess I have no choice but to get more supermarket sushi now! 😁
Obviously the build is insane and so cool, especially when you know most of it is take out containers and cut-up toys, but I want to quickly say how nicely done the editing was as well! It matched your vibe really well
Apart from the sheer creativity involved in the design and construction itself, I have to say this is a very high level, high quality, example of imaginative videography. The shots, the effects, the editing, everything - it is brilliant. What editing software did you use? I'm a Davinci Resolve user myself (changed from FCP about a year ago) but whatever you're using, you have mastered it in spectacular fashion. Very well done - love it!!
Absolutely love how this design came together! So creative and talented! You guys should totally print and sell the Xbox case. Give us a chance to make something cool out of our fridges(xboxs) lol
The company would quickly go bust
I'd be really interested to know how being surrounded in that much foam and wood and... other stuff affects the thermals. It seems to me like it might be prone to overheating. You might want to change out the fan at the top for one that doesn't rattle and actually use it for cooling.
Im guessing it stuggles a bit with cooling. XD
BUT AT LEAST IT LOOKS COOL! ;)
at the very end u can see she has used mesh over the top of the xbox to stop it over heating
at 17:45
@@lukacrawford1619 yeah I'm guessing thermals would still have noticeable diff from stock
For everybody complaining about the "heat dispersion" issue, did you NOT take a look at the original X-Box?!? They did NOT cover up ANY of the original ventilation and the X-Box uses a tower dispersion design where air is pulled from the bottom and shed through the top... a top that has nothing more than expended wire netting... There will likely be NO difference at all in regards to the heat dispersion. We can see where she took that into account from the beginning. The execution was flawless and excellently disguises that there is a console hiding under there.
The amount of innovation that goes into using all these random scraps and pieces and bringing them together into one beautiful piece of artwork is just mind blowing!!!
Ikr!
Took the words right out my mouth 🎉😊😂
Can’t it heat or catch on fire it blocking the the fan?
Really nice build. I am however curious since I am pretty sure that the holes on top of the Xbox is for cooling. (I do not own one myself). Have you noticed any overheating or performance issues?
That’s what I was thinking
Aren't they mostly free from clutter, though?
Isn’t that why she but a fan at the top ?
Imagine it just explodes
Not only are the builds pure castles of imagination but how she entertains along the way is hella fun & hilarious
I love Studson getting the attention he deserves for his amazing builds and videos! That Howls Moving Castle video is a tour de force. This is such a fun scratch build Martina!
This looks amazing! What an insanely creative and fantastical project!
My only concern, as others have mentioned, would be the heat dispersement for the Xbox. I see u left the vents open, but that doesn't really account for the extra insulation provided by both the wood, and especially the foam. I would love for you guys to do an experiment, maybe with a heat gun, and see it running for say an hour without this, see it's heat output,. Then another hour with the same thing running(maybe use the same game or such, because some games will cause more heat output) and then test the heat output again.
Even if it doesn't necessarily overheat, running an Xbox(or any gaming console or computer even) at a slightly elevated temperature long term can definitely effect the life expectancy of your device dramatically.
yeah that was my thought all that extra stuff going to increase the heat by alot
I concur. Heat is going to be a problem. It looks easy enough to remove the Xbox. Perhaps this should be a display cabinet and not used while playing. It is a fantastic work of art.
Indeed. The fan is designed to keep the xbox within optimal temp ranges under normal conditions. Even with the fan uncovered, heat is still going to be generated from every side of the console, including the bottom, and it won't be able to dissipate from those sides. The fans going to be overworked. Wouldn't be surprised if it's running several degrees hotter for sure.
The components used aren't very thermally conductive so shouldn't act as a heat block and retain heat in that sense, they'd only be losing out on the passive cooling between the case of the xbox and the atmosphere. This can likely be compensated for, the xbox only has a single extraction fan at the top and relies on pull through ventilation, they need, NEED to raise the shell off the desk and allow for at a minimum the normal xbox intake (which is at the bottom) to function. They could however compensate for the lack of passive cooling by installing a forced intake fan to run in addition to the extraction, this would eliminate the need to raise the structure and leave an air gap. I would install a block of XPS foam a couple of inches thick at the bottom and to blend into the build, with sewer grates to disguise the intake air ports on all 4 sides of the base and a normal PC fan blowing directly up into the xbox. You'd ideally want the equivalent of the surface area of the fan divided between the intake ports on each side (the rear could accommodate a larger port)
@@ChadSmithakaCCG thats what I think. A display cover is a fantastic idea
I love the steampunk dystopian future setting made out of junk. The miniature has so much detail that it looks almost real.
Honestly, I wasn’t really sure how it was going to turn out at first because of how the parts had different colors to them.
Martina really has an artistic eye. It is almost like an ice sculpture making a design out of an ice block but instead it is creating something out of nothing but junk. Bravo!
It’s crazy how just the black paint made the individual panels of the project look like one custom part! Your channel reminds me of King of Random and Draw With Jazza combined! I am finding that the more of these kinds of channels I find with these kinds of videos that I watch, the more inspiration I get to want to do something of my own. I think these are the kinds of videos I need in my life instead of the mindless dribble I keep falling in to. I love the editing in this video, I can se that you guys put a lot of effort in. Keep up the great work!!!
LOOKS AMAZING! Can really see all the hard work put into this project, and not just the xbox, but the whole video! Such a huge inspiration, love your content 💗
YOU DID IT! I just watched the PS5 version of this video and thought you did great, but that you could add fans to keep it from overheating. I am super impressed that you added that, plus all of those lights are so cool! The fact that you start from scratch and do it all yourselves. I also love the paint job and the colors along with everything else match so well! Great job making the power button easy to access. You are very smart for that, and also for getting such affordable materials. Your ability to imagine that masterpiece and then create it is super impressive! 10/10 😎
Love the Studson Studio shoutout. Finding his videos last year and quickly watching everything he had was what pulled me into miniature crafting and related CZcams like Nerdforge!

That transformation from disco mansion to this piece of art is awesome and the level of creativity is simply mind blowing.
I love how these videos are works of art just as much as the pieces you make within them- the editing is always fantastic
i only feel a slight concern that the xbox is gonna overheat, aside from that, fantastic build, i find it so impressive how you can dedicate so much time to your projects and get sucha stunning result from it. good work :)
I was thinking that. It is a heat generator wrapped in insulation foam.
Yeah I hope they left some room for vents and everything.
This, it won't be an operational xbox for long. Only saving grace is she did this with the series x and not the series s
Yep, first thing that came to my mind is how the heat is gonna exhaust. It'll be cool if she had put some mesh at the top to allow the heat to escape.
@@Anarkey there is a mesh! However I didn’t catch if she put and vents on the bottom.
It looks phenomenal! I love the steampunk like feel it has. The one thing I would be concerned about would be concerned about from a practical sense, given the heat the console puts out I hope there is no danger of it overheating on you with all that extra "insulation" around it!
It's definitely going to overheat, but She has left some clearance on the top of the console, She can put some cool vents on it, address the issue and make this build even cooler.
That what I was thinking! My completely bare Xbox 1 makes extremely scary noises when I play on it too much (I clean it every month, however it’s due one)
It might get toasty in there. This guy just posted this today of his custom aluminum xbox x case he made and he says it cools great with the mods he did, search "Making the World's First Aluminum Xbox Series X"
I was really worried about that myself, though I noticed in the close up video at the end that the top actually has a mesh across it so the internal cooling should still work and exhaust fine out the top
Okay, I'm very curious about the trip to the "Recycling Station". Are they pulling out things they think people may want to reuse and then putting into a kind of store? I'd really like more information on this as it sounds like a great idea...
Your creativity is attractive… I hope you never feel there is more you could’ve done.. The detail work you put in is sick. Positively.
What a weird comment lol. I've never used the word attractive like that... I think something is poking through.

I love how this was basically an ode to Studson Studios. He does some really cool stuff, and it's fun watching him inspire other artists. I'd love to see them get together and create something awesome: Studson's skill with scuplting, Martina's painting prowess, and their creativity would be like a fusion of gods.
I have to agree. Studson's Howl's Moving Caastle was phenominal. I sat and watched that video in awe of his skills. A collab. with Nerdforge would have to be beyond awesome.

There is a worrying lack of horseshoes though..
Oh this is absolutely amazing and your editing is an incredible icing on the top! Every detail of this video is magnificent!!
I love this video! Your editing is so good and the finished product turned out amazing!
I'm mechanically minded and have taken apart and reassembled engines, & transmissions but to imagine something like this is beyond me. I have little to no artistic talent, so every one of your projects just blows me away!
The montage is fun to watch but I'm a little anal about details sovi would have been happy to watch all the steps you went through as well. Either way I'm never disappointed with the projects you make.
You are probably more artistic than you think. I recommend LEGOS, the engineer in you will love them and the artist in you will escape.
If you want to see each step, I can't recommend enough the Studson Studios channel Martina recommended. The videos are very long, but his imagination is out of this world!
What's your favorite transmission?

what's the name of the music??
I agree with the comments, aesthetically it is a very beautiful case that you have created. That being said it can potentially cause some serious heat dispersement issues. This is which may result in severe overheating and shortening of the Xbox’s lifespan.
The nerd in me is curious how they addressed that. I cannot imagine they forgot to consider that; I just think it wasn't considered an integral part of the usual design explanation. I am curious where it was incorporated as it's not immediately evident from viewing.
@@DeskOfKidAdorable I am curious too, since I don’t believe they would be foolish enough to ruin a Xbox just for a video.
@@ryanregan2596 Oh the things creators will do
at 17:45 u can see they used like a mesh over the top of the xbox fan instead of covering it up...its painted to look like a wire surface looks like it would keep it plenty cool
i would think if they took that top fan and made it functional instead of just loud and for a gimmick. as an exhaust fan it would keep any heat from staying trapped in the top causing issues
The editing the music the fun of Martina her energy and her talent are all SOOOO fine ❤❤❤

Looks awesome, but thermally im scared that it might overheat overtime. But awesome artwork, this is real dedication for the hobby!
@Girl On A Quest only problem is she but a mesh on top of the holes for the fan which although breathable is not as efficent as leaving the intake completley untouched
@@remdr231 even when untouched it will still overheat over time .now the time will be much shorter
@@leviisrael3752 Ik thats exactly what I had in mind that seriesx will be overheating like crazy
@Girl On A Quest that plastic shell also dissipates heat. Have you ever felt the side of a console when it's running? It's hot, because it's dissipating heat. With a build like this it's more heavily insulated. It's equatable to wearing a spring jacket on a hot day vs a winter jacket. A build like this would require a more robust ventilation cooling system, or at least some extra heat sinks for it to maintain the efficiency of a non-modded shell.
Its gonna overheat they run hot enough stock lol

Just found you again after seeing you Pc build a while ago. And as I too have the black brick I thought I’d watch. And WOW that is totally awesome and amazing. Only problem I can’t do that as mine doesn’t stand on end as lack of space it had to go on its side. It would be amazing to see you do a sideways version too. ❤
I have been binge watching her videos since last night , my gosh this girl is amazing. So talented.
Me too 🎉
What's great is that this is basically how prototypes, and sometimes even finished effects, we're done in older TV and film. Red Dwarf is one of my all time favourite shows and you can see the bits of stuff they made the original ship model from. You showcased it masterfully of course 😁
It looks incredibly, but have to wonder how it effects the cooling capabilities of a fridge inside of it. Always thought about doing something like this back when I played my 360 nearly every day some years ago. Nothing of this scale and impressiveness, but was worried about overheating so never tried.
Yeah I am wondering the same, it seem that there's holes at the bottom for air intake? Maybe raise a bit to allow air to go under? But yeah it great build and very creative with the use of trash.
That'd definitely be my concern making something like this, I'd love to have some detail on how they allowed for cooling.
I thought the same thing. Maybe they designed it as a boring black box from necessity.
I don't believe we changed much about how it's cooled, the airflow of the fan intake/exit is more or less unaffected by our mod once we get some rubber feet for it to stand on, but might be the extra layer of stuff outside the metal box increases the average temp... Will be fun to see! Great thermals was never the point of this build though, if you're optimizing for cooling, dont put foam around your computer!
@@nekkidnora none of the airflow design has been changed in any way. This entire project is making a fancy skin on 4 sides, nothing more.
i love your work . Its truly inspiring and yesss the detailed lights muah perfectionnnnnnn.
even tho I admire how technical and skilled and original it was to make this, and it definitely looks beautiful too, I have to point out the possibility of future malfunctions because altering how the original design was may affect its cooling system and other things, it might possibly mean it doesn’t last as many years, even when putting in a fan and everything, I just think it’s super risky in terms of how long it will last
Martina,
I believe that you are entitled to claim the crown of Undisputed Queen of Complexity. It is obvious that you enjoy doing what you are doing otherwise you would not take as much pride in your work as you so patently do. Every time I watch a video of a new project I am assured that, as the build progresses, the layers will continue to grow exponentially until the two day project expands to 4 weeks! I am never disappointed. Always amazed. Beguiled by your skill. And blown away by the final product!

I liked the whimsical disco music and the sometimes BobbyDuke-esque funny cuts during the assembly, and the professional tone during the painting and the reveal. I only wish those end scenes were a bit longer and slower so we get more time to take in all the breathinkingly beautiful little details you've spent weeks on perfecting...
So yeah, great job!
I absolutely love this! I’m a real nerd when it comes to the “Steam-punk” theme. You two are super inspirational and I love your channel/content.
That is so beautiful nice art work on that creation!
The sheer amount of creativity and innovation that went into this! I’m floored
This is definitely one of my new favorite videos on your channel! You said it’s one of the most fun projects you’ve done so far, and it came through- this was such a fun video to watch! The creativity behind using old toys and recycling is absolutely genius. Props for the music choice too- all the songs totally fit the vibe! I was jamming along the whole time 😊
Nice build. It took me a minute but I recognized the opening music from the Dimension 20 Starstruck opening animatic. I can just imagine Sundry Sydney picking up the Xbox from plug's butt ugly stuff hut and then customizing it with Gunny using things she picked up from the junk mother.
Any idea what the song is from the montage? Or what genre its from? I love the sound and vibe but never know what the name of the kind of music it is to google

The studson studio spiritual crossover is real! Loved watching this project come together!
I was surprised by this build. I had to keep telling myself you guys have never built anything that looks like crap after it was done and trust the process. After the paint job it was a huge transformation. Well done.
At 0:38 I actually like the first design mainly because it looks like howls moving castle that would be sick if that was the case
I found this channel yesterday. Pure gold. Love it. Keep up the good work!
More videos like this please I LOVE IT!!!! with trash all is more satisfaying
What are you implying here
You've really come along ways over the years. Love the editing style and the projects.
