    Forward to 7 min to get to the point. The first 7 minutes is how long it takes for him to put a tablespoon of fungicide in a container.

    Folks when you buy a sprayer make sure the tip has a bend in it. It helps a ton to spray the underside of the leaves.

      Or you can lightly heat the shaft of the spray wand with a heat gun and bend it to your liking.

    If you apply it weekly I have to assume that it's getting onto the tomatoes.. Am I correct? If it gets on the tomatoes how long should you wait before harvesting?

      You can. Add about 1 tsp of dishwashing liquid (the kind you use in the sink) to the mix. It acts as a spreader sticker.

      Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate which of course has a lot of sodium. Sodium will burn leaves. Here is a video about a different situation, but they discuss the problem with baking soda. czcams.com/video/UpYth_uM8Vs/video.html

    I have watched a couple different video's, which they all have been helpful, but they fell to mention what time of day to apply the fungicide. My question is can you spray fungicide on your tomato's while the sun is shining on them? I would be afraid of sun burn to the plants. Can someone please tell me if it is ok to spray them while the sun is shining on them???

    Can you treat the soil AFTER fungus killed a bunch of tomatoes, so it could be used next year?

    • @FamilyPlotGarden
      @FamilyPlotGarden  Před 7 lety +1

      The fungus that gets on the tomatoes is always present in the soil so treating the soil is kind of pointless. Instead, mulch your tomatoes. czcams.com/video/qjWwZNcHPs8/video.html This will keep the fungus from being splashed from the soil up onto the leaves when you water or when it rains. This really reduces the amount of early blight. A great side benefit is that you don't have to water your tomatoes nearly as often.

    what's the soap for?

    • @FamilyPlotGarden
      @FamilyPlotGarden  Před 2 lety

      The soap helps the droplets stick to the leaves and spread out.

    hi, can we pour the fungiside solutiion to the substrates as well?

    • @FamilyPlotGarden
      @FamilyPlotGarden  Před 3 lety

      Fungicide only kills the spores when they land on it. If the fungus is already established it won't do anything. I don't think spraying the soil will do much good. Make sure you rotate your garden. Don't plant the same family of plants in the same place every year. That allows the fungus in the soil to build up and makes it difficult or impossible to control because there is so much of it.
