  • In this video, I show the process of making a coffee table, the main purpose of which for the next 5 years will be - board games table for my children.
I needed a comfortable round table with enough legroom on which my children could comfortably play board games.
For this purpose, I used a cross section of walnut - 720 mm in diameter and 60 mm thickness, which had long been lying in my garage and waiting for the right moment to come, how handy! There was a crack in it, which I filled with inserts of cross-sections of a walnut branch. I like the lively look of the wooden bark so I tried to preserve it and recreate its natural look.
The table turned out to be heavy, strong, stable, so children are unlikely to flip it. Kids liked the table and have immediately began it's practical use, so I'm happy with the result.
    Thank you all for watching!
Take care of yourself and your family! Stay safe!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

At the time I’m commenting this there’s 44 dislikes and I’m super confused... how could anyone dislike this? Even if you don’t agree with the bark on the legs or how he did the epoxy job it still turned out a piece of art! Nothing about this video deserves a dislike. Honestly feel bad for those 44 and wish them nothing but happiness, health, and better vibes in 2021!

I can't figure out why you have 1.8K thumbs down reviews because I watched the whole thing and loved it. I would have looked at that piece of wood and said it was ready for the fireplace. You take it and turn it into furniture that's durable and just the right size for all kinds of uses. Thank you so much for sharing your skills.

First one these I've watched where the bark was left on. I like the way that looks a lot. Bark on or off is fine. Beautiful either way. Very nice table. Met the approval of kids and mine as well.

Какая шикарная фактура у столешницы: и кора дерева с зеленовато-желтым лишайником, и кокетливый ряд маленьких поленцев, и прекрасные манжетки на ножках! Всё преобразуется, блестит играет в Ваших умелых руках! 💚💙💛❤️🧡

Just when I thought the table was a masterpiece, the toddler came in with a Level-God mini chair that looks like it was build by this guy too. Jeez!

Not only a creative, hardworking craftsman, but a role model father for his children. You are a good son, because you apply the true values your parents transmitted to you. You are a good father, because your children enjoy the fruits of your labor, so they are on the best way to learn about work and life. How many persons among us fabricate small things for their family or friends? Not much. Instead of it, We drink beer in front of the TV or smoke joints, instead of doing useful things in our short lifes . Thank you, Nikolaï, for your work !

You know I watch your video over and over again and never get tired of them. It's like watching a movie where you get to know all the dialogue. This project is so beautiful like all of your creations I can see you leaving your Day Job and doing this hobby for a living at your own pace and not just on weekends, holidays, or at night after work. BRAVO MAESTRO AGAIN.
