- In this video I demonstrate the process of making a bench - as a gift for my relatives. It's a couple and next week they have three reasons to celebrate: their birthday anniversaries (55 and 60) and a wedding anniversary. I hope my gift will be appropriate and will find a place in their home. I respect this couple, working hard they have achieved much in their lives.
I spent a whole week making this bench. The outcome - it turned out strong and stable. The bench frame is made from ash tree. But the cross-cuts inserts of the fruit trees are setting the mood for this bench :).

This is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I made a wreath with wooden "coins" from pine trees that were planted for our family. These particular "coins" came from the branches from my dad's tree, when some branches got damaged. Dad had passed and I made the wreath for mom. Now both my parents are gone, and I'd LOVE to make a bench like this with coins from my mom and dad's trees. Oh I just LOVE this!!!! And I applaud your craftsmanship and love of still making things from hand. Keep lovin' that fresh wood smell!!

My late grandfather was a Hungarian furniture maker just like you are and I still have some of his pieces in my home. I spent many hours watching him in his shop. That's one of the most beautiful pieces of craftsmanship if seen in a long time. Thank you so much for being back all those great memories.

You could spend a few years working with this master furniture maker, but you still wouldn't have his "artist's eye" - the ability to envision the aesthetically pleasing final product before you ever even plug your saw in.

I suffer from severe depression anxiety disorder panic attacks . I just reasonly got out of the hospital im3 dual diagnosed people like me. 18 years of sobriety . I got medicated with of course more pills. I never experienced any like this. I'm finally myself!!!!!!
I'm back to some normalcy!! I always had drive. I got injured and over 3-4 years the slide into severe depression was awful? I hope you are better? And wish you well!!😷❤🙏

I am giving an honest woodworkers opinion on why I think there is negative feedback. The top is elevated above the base supported only by dowel pins. This makes for a very weak support system and can easily be broken. So all that hard work is done for nothing. Other than that it is a great piece of work.
No everyone has these skills of Carpentry to create this beautiful bench. Great craftsmanship.
