  • Welcome to Atos Medical's CareTips. In this video, we will guide you through adjusting the tone and range of intonation for your Provox TruTone EMOTE and Provox TruTone Plus.
By utilizing the simple controls of your Provox TruTone EMOTE and Provox TruTone Plus, you can customize the tone to suit your preferences. The knob to the left of the power button allows you to effortlessly achieve a lower or higher tone by rolling it downward or upward.
    To switch between different modes:
    1. Start by removing the battery cap.
    2. Once the cap is off, locate the mode button, easily identifiable with the label "mode" and an arrow pointing upward towards the rectangular button.
    3. Hold the power button while pressing the mode button to cycle through the various modes. As the device vibrates, an audible cue will confirm the mode selection.
    Provox TruTone EMOTE
The Provox TruTone EMOTE features six modes: four tonal modes and two volume or whisper modes. Mode 1 is the monotone mode, indicated by a single beat, while Mode 2 offers up to one octave of intonation, represented by two beeps. Mode 3 expands the range to one and a half octaves, signaled by three beeps, and Mode 4 pushes the limits to two full octaves, denoted by four beeps.
For those seeking whisper-like capabilities, Modes 5 and 6 are designed just for you. These modes have an audible cue indicated by a whooping sound. Whisper modes will use pressure sensitivity in the power button to determine the loudness of the device. Lightly press the button for a quiet, whisper-like volume, and increase the pressure for a louder output. Mode 6 operates similarly to Mode 5 but requires less pressure to reach maximum volume.
    Provox TruTone Plus
The Provox TruTone Plus, on the other hand, offers two modes. Mode 1 represents the monotone mode, marked by a single beat, while Mode 2 provides up to one octave of intonation, accompanied by two beeps. The process for switching between modes on the Provox TruTone Plus remains the same as that of the Provox TruTone EMOTE.
We hope that the tips and information presented in this video have helped you master the adjustment of tone and range of intonation for your Provox TruTone electrolarynx devices.
