- When it comes to FPV drones, size matters... and the GepRC Cinelog 25 is a small but powerful filmmaking tool. The size of your drone will have a huge impact on how your quad flies and in which situations you'll want to use it in and this guy can hit smaller gaps and fly indoors while staying really stable in the air. I like it so much I got two!

Whew. A few days and 100 failed exports later, I'm finally able to release this video to you guys! A small note: It seems like Joshua Bardwell recently mentioned that the Caddx Polar may or may not have a bit more latency than some of the other HD cameras out there. Again, I haven't had a chance to use the Polar yet so I don't have any input on this. So far it seems like most people don't have any complaints but do your research so you can decide which version will be best for you.
(Update: I've been using the Polar and mine feels fine. I'm happy with the latency!)
Hey man! Can you give me a couple of details of how much would a simple setup cost without for goggles in Canada? Just to be used with a phone for the drone camera. And could any other naked cameras on the market be used with it too?
Why do I need to attach a brick to it to get decent HD performance ?
I don't want a friggin' Go Pro.
What's smaller but still delivers something better than a micro quad/tiny whoop ?
Hi. I saw the first time a drone review video. I´m absolutely new in this field.
Could you tell me what the difference is between the receivers? For example, in Banggood are 2 Options: FRSky and TBS Crossfire. Thanks ins advance for explaining.
@@hanzalahhussain4384 ayoye 🤣
I know this is off topic but, how is you audio so crispy and perfect every single video. It makes me just want to watch all the way through. That’s not even all you videos are so to the point and beginner friendly. It just seems like you put A lot of effort into every video and I really appreciate it!
Would be really interesting to see how you got this gig and how the communication between you and the restaurant looked like
i got an ancient church to accept shooting with the drone inside by talking to them and i offered the priest donuts...
you can see it in my channel... after that i went to another church that said no, then i showed them the video i made then they said yeah do it, and last week i got a phone call to photograph a church, my church video got 20k views in 1 week and i barely had any subs.
This is a great application for people who are in the real estate business. A cool way to present new homes to prospective home buyers.
Hi Matt, you always got the best explanation to FPV especially being practical for new hobbyist.
Welcome back man, good to see the video's again and boy was it good!
I was thinking about it and you made a video about it! Thanks for the insights Matt.
Man, you’re living the life! Fpv drones, video gigs, youtube, and making a living doing what you love. I aspire to be in your position rn. Keep doing the good work and inspiring others.
I'm not able to make a living off FPV just yet, but hopefully in the future!
@@MattPochwat wish you the best bro. Also quick question if ever u read this, do you watch MKBHD videos? Because your production and the way you make videos are close and almost on par to his level. I’d like to someday hear who are your inspirations in making yt videos. Anyway wish you the best, thanks for the great content!
Thanks for this review. I just purchased the drone, and I'm excited to start learning!
wow. those footage was stunning with that small factor size fpv drone. love it bro
Really sweet fly throughs, Matt!
Great review mate. Keep em coming. Very interested in this drone as my 1st fpv.
Bro that video tech is a gold mine. Thanks for the amazing video. I need one of these in my tool box!
Yes you’re videos are back
Love them naked gopro tiny whoop set up's! These drones are definitely game changer! Definitely has its application and not ideal for every situation. Somewhat fragile but can definitely achieve unique shots. Im glad a company made a molded case for the hero 8 rather than 3d printed.
Just ordered the analog version of this and some 450mah ovonic 80c batteries. Ive got a SMO cam. Delivery should be tomorrow morning i'm stoked!
Always a pleasure to see a new video Matt! As I'm also a Canadian dipping my toes into fpv, do you have any recommendations for drone courses/trainings if I wanna fly something over 250g?
Thanks a lot for this review Matt! I just subscribed to your channel and I might buy this little drone to start my FPV adventures! Cheers from a fellow Canadian! (From Montreal) :)
Great clip dude, nice editing, appreciate the info.
Lovely indoor shots, would love to see your footage processing workflow
Yes, also do a PR plug for your client; that restaurant is a must-try now that we can actually sit down at one post-lockdown
I'm completely new to the drone thing. I would like to get one at some point but I'll familiarize myself with them first. Thanks for the review.
Waiting for the cinelog30 review. Need a great cinewhoop
another vid i had to watch even though i don't do cinema stuff or fly a whoop regularly, I've got them but they don't interest me, but after your vid i might get one just to have in the inventory . keep the videos comming great job Mat.
Woohoo, glad to see a video from you!
This is my first FVP Drone ! :D loving it. Huge fan, seting up was not easy, but its worth it.
Hey Diogo! I'm picking a drone to be my first FPV drone, do you think this would be a good choice? It seems you're also brazillian, did you order it from banggood? Was it taxed or something?
do you have dji controller and dji googles?
Amazing footage wow
Well, thanks for helping me make my mind. Ordering it :)
I just bought it! I cant wait for it to arrive, its gonna be a long 3 weeks ahead.
Hi! Could you do a video about how to work professionally with FPV?
Awesome video, thanks!
Thank you for the awesome review Matt! How does it compare to the Protek25?
Finally ordered mine after a few months on the sim. Do you fly indoors with the factory’s rates? Any videos or links to settings for smoother flying?
Obrigado pelo Vídeo muito bom estou querendo usar esta técnicas no meu setup para trabalho
Please share how you set your Gopro 8 settings for in the indoor lighting. I struggle getting good image indoor without noise / grain.
I’m loving your content for beginners. Thank you for shedding light on so much. One question no content creator has mentioned or I just haven’t noticed. Do all of the GEPRC cinewhoops have self stabilization? It’s enough having to learn the cinematic aspects of flying, but it’s going to difficult to learn all of the components of FPV. Thank you so much!! (edit) I’m pretty sure they all do, I’ve just never heard anyone confirm it, and for whatever reason, I can’t find it in GEPRC’s description
I love the 2.5" cine, I have an umma95x with naked gopro6 that is awesome for my needs.
You're Canadian. Even better! Thanks for the review!
Hi Matt! Great clip and inspiration for the community! What is the weight on that build Naked GoPro mounted on your drones?
Nice review and interior shots wow. What was ur setting on naked GP 8 for those shots? please do share
Hi Matt, Thanks for all your videos, they are amazing. I'd like to ask you something about the link you placed. If I want the dji compatible version, which receiver should I choose? the "FrsKy R-sXR" or "TBS crossfire Nano RX" (I just got into the FPV world and I would like to become a PRO :) )
Hey Matt! Nice video! 👍 I use this type of drone for flying through the forest and having the prop guards to allow me to bump off branches and still keep going. I don't use it for HD recording.
I have been looking for exactly this - prop guards for forest flying, and the ability to take the guards off and fly without them, making it into a freestyle RIPPER!
Is it possible that you please try flying it without the guards and show us a short video? Adds to the versatility of this co0ol little done. Hope you can see how great this could possibility be without the guards on! Thanks for considering this! 😎🤘
I am hoping that my 4k Geprc Tinygo replacement drone will arrive this week.
I am looking into other Geprc drone and the naked Gopro 8
Thanks for the review man
Do you use dji fpv controller or tbs crossfire? Is dji controller good enough?
I own one and I do like it. The little bridges in the prop guards will break in crashes so order extra. My flight controller went south less than five weeks old. Am in the process of swapping it out.
Did you tune yours at all or leave it stock? I need to give mine half throttle input to fly slowly, which doesn't seem normal to me.
@@JoeJacksonGT3 Iam flying stock. This thing has a ton of power for its size. I've gotten acustomed to this. There's a way to change the throttle scaling that might help out. This explains how czcams.com/video/NN0x5r1sxNQ/video.html
Wow, so much great info on the drone… Almost feels like two video’s worth of research rolled into one! You just got a new subscriber.
Hi Matt! I love your tutorials and reviews, are so clean!! Thanks!!!
I also own the protek 35 but for some indoor flights and gaps i feel it a little bigger and too much air turbulence by the props (also w air mode off) so i was thinking on the protek 25 pusher or this cinelog 25, do you think its a good companion for my protek 35??? Thanks!!!
Man I am in the exactly same situation right now! xD Owning protek 35 HD and cant decided between cinelog 25 or the protek 25 pusher xD
Hi Matt do you have a video or a recommendation on how to set up my DJI controller for the proper switches that are on there? Ie arm, turtle, and more?
Awesome ❤️😀
Hi Matt., Can you share your rates and expo betaflight config for that video in the resto??? Looks so smooth man...at least you have micro-movements on the sticks
The stop recording midflight issue is usually caused by the sd-card slot. The pins tend to bend sideways and can lose contact. You can try using a thicker sd-card brand, like Samsung. This helped me in one case, allthough still not that reliably.
Matt, I am torn between the cinleog25 and the cinerace 20, I want to learn fly through FPV, not acro tricks and flicks. To do the stuff similar to the stuff you did with the restaurants. When I behgin to spec stuff up, what do I need to select to make this work withe djio goggles and dji mode 2 controller? I am looking at the Insta naked or go pro too, cheers
Hello, love your videos and thanks for all tips. But i got one question. I really want to start fpv, but im not sure about one thing: Can i connect all ratios, drones and googles together ? Or i can connect only some drones to some goggles ? I wanted to use this combo:
drone: Nanohawk
ratio: FrSky ACCST Taranis Q X7 Transmitter 2.4G 16CH
goggles: Everyine EV100 720 * 540 5,8G 72CH
This was just what i found from some videos, so if there is anything bad with this setup, i will appreciate help.
Thanks.
at 1:45 you are talking about the camera you use to make the recordings, would it also be possible to use an insta360 GO (2)? Oh and btw I think the recordings that follow are beautiful to see!
Would a hero session camera work on a drone like this? This will be my fist setup and I'm not particularly interested in tearing up my 8 that I use for biking and such. You have a great channel my guy and you've helped me a lot with my decision process.
great movie. Will this drone handle the DJI action 2 camera?
What would you say the best tiny whoop would be to get for a small outdoor drone and performance?
Don’t know why you stopped posting, but your content is great. 🔥
Yeah $450 for that prebuilt naked gopro is a lot, i think I'll wait September to see the new GoPro, hopefully they listened to the fpv community and made a new session! That would be great
Or maybe buy the SMO 4K
@@KhoPhi i don't want insta360, I'll wait and get the gopro 10, session or not, unless it's more than hero 9 weight with battery delete..
I just got a session. I’m loving it
@@codythompson1900 Enjoy it bro 👍👍
Hi! What is the best battery for this drone for indoor flying?
Hi matt
Which one do we get for the DJI Air Unit one? Without receiver? from the buying link
Matt, can’t seem to find video on how to bind the 25 or the 30, did you do a video on binding.
Binding depends on the receiver in the drone and the controller you have. I would suggest looking up “(controller name) (receiver name) binding tutorial”
I love your videos, have you thought about using the camera (insta 360 Go 2) instead of naked cameras? Because the quality is really good and you do not need to use the drone battery for the camera.
Insta 360 doesnt allow the use of reelsteady for super smooth stabilized cinematic footage or horizon lock
Hey Matt, what motors do the old Cinelog25 has, and what motors do the updated version of the Cinelog25 has?
And which of them do you prefer for indoor shooting?
Thank you for your great content! :)
Old one had 1204 3750kv and the new one 1404 4500kv. I preferred the old one but I recently heard that some people may have had problems with the old ones getting too hot which is why they changed the motors in the newer models. I've never had a problem with them burning out but I can confirm that they do get pretty hot sometimes
@@MattPochwat Oh, I see, thank you! I wonder if I should buy one with the old motors to get a calmer flight indoor?
And another question if I may - I have an Umma95 and it's pretty shaky and a nightmare to make more stable... Do you think the Cinelog25 will be much better for me in term of stabilization? or there will be little to no difference and I should stay with the Umma95?
When you talked about the popular brand that you used to own, did you mean Beta95?
Thanks again :)
For indoors you you fly in acro or angle?
@@jeffclassics He already answered "Acro" in one of his comments below
@@jeffclassics acro
Hello, drone noob here. I just bought a dji mini 2 a couple of weeks ago and while it takes amazing footage and is super easy to fly, I only found out about FPV drones after I bought the mini. I've spent the past 2 weeks just watching videos, researching, even bought some FPV simulators so I could start practicing. Now two weeks later, I've decided to return the mini 2, as great as it is, I want the freedom of fpv and believe I can handle it with more practice. I still want the capability to record beautiful 4K video and the Cinelog25 seems like the perfect first drone. Just one question, what fpv headset and controller would you recommend to a beginner if I were to go with the GepRC Cinelog25? Thanks. new sub here and am loving all the content!
What is your opinion about the iflight bumblebee V3 cinewhoop ? It is a bugger quad though so that it can carry a full size gopro .
Nice flow my man....do u keep air mode off for indoor whooping...my whoops bounces like crazy up n down even on straight line...
Air mode was always on in all of these shots. I get a few small bobbles here and there but not many at all. I would say avoid flying too close to the ground and the faster you fly, the less bobbles you should get too.
Small drone with possibility putting naked gopro on the top.. I wanna use drone most of the time at home or sometimes go outside fly on the playground is this drone will suit good? Regards
What action camera settings do you recommend for cinewhoops in-doors?
Awesome video, what is your main go to drone at the moment
Every drone has it's purpose. My Nazgul5 v2 is still my main all-purpose drone but I'd say I mainly use it for freestyle. The Protek and Cinelog are drones I use for flying slower, cinewhoop style shots. Until recently I had another custom build that I set up for cinematic stuff but I recently crashed it into the ocean. Got a new drone to replace it though. Video coming soon-ish ;)
I moved my cinelog 25 pids around and somehow lost the stock. Would it be to much trouble to share your stock pids? I have the model with the 1404 4500kv motors. thank you
Love your videos, i ordered a cinelog 25 and the new cinelog 35 performance after watching your videos.
Need to change the PID for indoor flights, for example a house?
Hello Matt. My new cinelog C25 Analog don’t wok. Every thing it was fine
(start music complet), I solder the ELRS Nano 2.4 , I’ve bind it with
the Radiomaster tx16s when is link to the PC by USB, but don´t start and
show the red LED only. With out start music:
Any ideia? Thank you
이 드론 완전 예술이네요!
Man i watch all of your vids and all of them are fire actually I’m doing my first build right now and I have a question so.I bought a taranis transmitter and its an old version (I wanna update the firmware on it) but I can’t because I can’t get in the booth-loader mode like there is none. Pls help😅
Thank you for videos like this! I’ve been holding off on getting a GoPro capable drone but these are really making me want to pull the trigger.
I’ve got so many ideas for use in my professional work for it.
Btw also in Canada just north of Toronto!
hey matt can you let me know what song is playing in the restaurant footage? would really love to download it. thank you
what is the 2022 ultimate 250g< cinewhoop + naked gopro ? or best setup ( motors props frame battery settings )
Hi Matt, thanks for the videos. I have basic FPV questions (noon). I want to buy this quad and use with DJI goggles and controller. Is this possible or do I need to buy a separate controller? Hard to find a video that explains all the digital fpv options. Thank you
I am in the same boat, I am trying to find this sort of info and cant seem to find it anywhere. I am looking to buy this drone and the DJI goggles, then what a dji remote or other
is it the Amex lounge?
very similar to the one at SFO , which i worked there as an operation manager huge lounge
Yeah, the Cinelog is amazing. I haven't even changed from default rates 😅
could you please make a review of whoop with onboard record ability? Like mobula 6 hd, meteor65 hd or something similar. Thanks!
Now shipping with the o3 🥰
That's what I want to learn... Any recommendations for beginners? Ty
Man I’m having a hard time picking a drone. I bought a census and it’s amazing then I got the meteor 65hd by betafpv and it’s terrible so many issues and I can’t even fly it board blew twice in it. Is this drone easier to fly?
Amazing indoor flights! What rates are you using? When you flight indor, do you use angle mode? I’m going to buy a cinelog 25 to indoor flights, can you share your betaflight configs? 😆
Always acro and stock betaflight settings/rates
silly question - how do you control it ? does it come with a controller or do you use your phone ?
Hey Matt! Awesome video! Would you recommend this drone as a first FPV drone?
That would depend on what kind of flying you want to do. As long as you get really comfortable in a simulator first, I think the easiest drone to get started with is a 5-inch freestyle quad. They are pretty versatile and their size makes them easier to fix.
Nice video Matt. One question...how is the noise in comparison to the protek 35...? How loud is it.
this one is definitely quieter. The new bigger motors make a bit more noise but you would definitely still notice a difference between the protek and this
Hi I want to buy the cinelog25 but I have a dJI Goggles and controller etc can I use it with that? Which option should I choose on the website PNP, frisky and TBS... I hope you can help me.
What type of interface does the Momoda antenna come with: MMCX or RP-SMA?
Nice video. The cinematic clips are inspirational. I have the DJI FPV. Can I use those goggles with any other FPV drone?
You can easily use those goggles with any FPV drone that has a DJI or caddx digital video system in it. You can also get an adapter + module for them that would allow you to use them with analog drones as well.
Where do u stand for shots like the restaurants ? 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Will this quad carry a Caddx Peanut? Great review 🔥
Hi Matt, will you be doing a review of the Cinelog 30?
Sorry Neil, at the moment I don't plan on picking one up. I've heard the differences are really minor so I'm not sure it's worth it
@@MattPochwat no worries, your channel has be really helpful. Ordered the cinelog30 and dji goggles
The transmitter not included in the box? The analog?
is it ok to use 3s 650mah battery in cinelog25 analog version?
Great review. Thanks. Two newbie questions.
I'm guessing all those beautiful indoor shots (around glass furnishings 😲) were using stability/angle mode rather than acro? If so I'm interested in how it flies in acro. I mean I know it's not a freestyle quad but can you flip it and stuff? I only have two tiny whoops now but I can only fly in acro, so I mostly fly outdoors still as I don't have much space indoors.
Secondly, would it work well with an insta360 Go 2? Rather than the naked GoPro. I really like the idea of the smaller stabilised waterproof robust camera, and I definitely can't afford both!
Sorry for all the questions!
He definitely flies acro for those shots, and most people use GoPros because the video quality is better, and stabilization is also better than insta360's especially when using reelsteady(software) , though it doesn't mean the insta360 go 2 is bad, i think it's great! Happy flying
@IDKFPV thanks! If all those indoor shots are in acro...wow. I have some practice to do! I'd still be interested to see some more acrobatic outdoor shots with one of these cinewhoops to see how they handle it.
Yep everything was in acro mode.
@@MattPochwat wow again then. That's some slick flying, keeping your cool and keeping it level through those units and past the glass light fittings. I have a long way to go, but channels like this are invaluable. Thanks again.
i only have a hero8, would this be able to carry it? cheers
Would this work with the hero 10 bones and keep it under 250g?
I have a geprc rocket plus. Would I be able to mount a named GoPro? Maybe insta360?
