everything looks good on my truck.. it seems just the bed itself is leaning to the right, any ideas?
I had a sagging rear end, I didn't hire a mechanic, I hired a divorce lawyer.
That was a good introduction. It would have been sweet to see you replace some of the parts so you could underscore the purpose of them to the layman. And that way at the end, we could see the huge difference between the before and after pictures. 😁👌🏻
Always replace springs in pairs shocks, coils, shackles and bushings just a helpful hints...also that is why it's a good idea to wash the vehicle even the underside
Thank you for the video. Do you have more information than most people do. Love the detail
Nice job Len , another great video ,With sound fx.

loved the vid. learned a lot. you almost went full-on Luigi at the end. great job!
+Rik Gracia Thanks for the feedback!
Also, if you have a slight sag sometimes it's just your full gas tank. Especially if you realize the truck is sagging on the same side the gas tank is on.
If that was me inspecting the underbody of THAT vehicle I’m pretty sure it would go like this…(me phoning the customer) Hi this is Bob from 1A auto and we’ve found the problem , it seems you either live way to close to the beach or you actually park your car in the water each night after work? The suspension is the least of your worries because i would be amazed if your chassis could hold a bucket of plastic bananas let alone the tub of that ute , we also added a “y” to the name of the the vehicle written on your tail gate, we couldn’t fix your brake so we made your horn louder.
My opinion is insure it for market value then drive 10klm away from the beach and set fire to it.
👍
Well done, Len.

What if the truck bed is leaning 1/2 inch to one side when comparing to the cab in front?
Great video!
Hey brother I love the content 2005 Silverado crew cab my truck bed is in down help
great video!
Hello very good explanation, what happens if you only change the main leaf at one side but this new leaf is just a little bit shorter or longer, will the vehicle have a problem with that? I mean for heavy duty vehicles
Love the sound effects lol
Leaf springs yes. Shock have nothing to do with ride height. Bad grommets and what nots yes.
Saddens me see to a Dakota with this much rust. Yikes. My 23 year old Dakota looks far better than that truck. Always bet you that my truck has less miles. But another great video. Very informative and educational. Thanks.
+Kody Beckwith we hate to see vehicles rust too! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for checking us out!
That’s what happens when you live in the rust belt
Hey 1A auto do you have a video for leaf spring removal/ replacment for 2010 Silverado 1500?
Is there any of those isolator pad and rubber for the rebound clip kits for sale...thanks
When replacing the rear do you have to replace the front springs?

question: what could it mean if one side hangs lower than the other when the truck frame is on jack stands & the rear axle is free-hanging?
Hey I noticed my truck bed was crooked but only the back right corner was but the bed lined up right with the rear window and the frame, I looked at both the back corners of the bed and it turns out the right shackel is taller the left one, do all I need to do is buy 2 shackels of the same size?
Im assuming the same principle applies to a leaf spring front end? My '88 F-250 is sagging on the front passenger side.
Meet your mechanic "Len" video please😎👍👍👍
Holy Rust! 😮
I put on new shocks but my truck does not have springs on the rear , so I figured by installing new shocks would fix the problem so that was not the case
What could cause squeaking when getting on top of truck bed and jumping up and down and it squeaks I already sprayed silicone on all the bushings of the leaf spring and it still makes the squeaking noise
Would a broken Ubolt cause shaking in bed when accelerating?
Haha thanks for the video my dude
+linus techtips Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
That is some CRUSTY suspension!
Would that be the same for a 2000 Silverado ? What they call The ChevyLean
If the leaf shackles are worn down or bound up bolts and pins, can this cause the bed of the truck to bounce on bumpy roads. Like not the entire bed, but from the back of the rear wheel well to the tailgate?
Possibly. However, since the movement is localized to a specific area, I'm more inclined to think it's a body (bed) mount bushing. I had a very similar issue on an F-150. I replaced the bushings and the problem went away.
What causes it to lean to the driverside
Will bad leaf springs cause the front to sag?
My driver side is sagging even after replacing shocks, coil springs, and upper and lower control arms.
I have the same issue, was told it’s because of the battery and such on the driver side and only way to counter it was to put a lift kit on the driver side only, hope this helps
I have a 2000 s10 ZR2 and the passenger side leaf spring either collapsed or broken. there's about a 1-2 inch gap in the spot where it moved. does it need replaced or is it something in the front suspension?
+brian versansky We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
What was the problem causing the leaning? The last picture of the broken shackle was from another vehicle? This video was useless showing the problem but not showing the area that would need to be fixed.
Am replace axels and socks and still bumping my rear passenger side? Dodge ram 1500 2001
Yes I have a 04 Chevy Silverado my rear end sag in the back I got brand new shocks all the way around and I have a little Shake everytime I go 60 miles per hour what can I do to fix that?
+Gable Taylor We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Gable Taylor, did you try balance, rotate tires, plus front end alignment. That would be the basics.
Good luck.
I saw that the truck was leaning but you didn't stop to point out the problem.
What causes a warped leaf spring?
What kind amid spring did he say
Springs determine ride height, not shocks.
My 7th gen Honda Accord is sagging in the rear on other driver side I've replaced the loaded strut and it's still sagging what should I do
+Terry Butler We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
I'm just hear for the "my wife has a saggy rearend" comments......
Oh....Just me? ......well......
Okay but wat was the problem u never found it
That is not how you measure ride height. Hub to fender is proper, this eliminates any difference in tire pressure discrepancies.
Must be a Dakota thing? My passenger rear corner has been sagged since day 1, but hasn't affected shocks, ride or tire wear etc.. ain't broke don't fix it. Might be bed alignment, even the 92 D250 Cummins my parent had had a lean to it on the corner.
Wow, that's a lot of rust.
Where the heck has this truck lived? There is so much rust under there!
I've noticed many of their videos have heavily rusted undercarriage.
That's actually clean underneath compared to most other trucks in Michigan. Plow trucks with salters around here will only last 8 years before the rust completely eats away at structural components on the undercarriage
PONG!!!
For the algorithm
Pingpippingping!
I almost had this mistaken for frame damage
Which parts did you replaced, also what truck?
Daaaamn that's a rusty frame!!!
that truck has received no love...shouldn't be that rusted underneath.
Rust is horrible
Good. I wait for love from you 💝💖
Looks ok on the outside .. but overall it's gobbbbbbage .. ..I restore 🚗 s and am a superb mechanic 🧰.. I'm thankful that I'm in a position to be able to refuse that 🚛 because with all that rust I'm sure the break lines are rusted out ⛽ line's. Should I go on. facts I stopped touching rust like that 20 year's ago or so real talk. I just refuse to work on rust I get down south and started loving 🚗 again no rust an old 🚗 here can still look new under body. You will work on it because your a business and hey if your in a rust stat what can you do right. Lol
too many emojis my dude
