In this video, I will take you to Little Haiti, Miami for some of the best Haitian and Caribbean Food in the world. We will visit Chef Creole, Clive's Cafe, Bahamian Pot Restaurant and the Caribbean Market/Haitian Cultural Center-Mache Ayisyen. Although the neighborhood is predominately Afro-Haitian, the cuisine of Jamaica and the Bahamas are prominent in this neighborhood.

Cuisine of the Bahamas (Sourced from the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism):
The cuisine of the Bahamas is an interesting blend of Afro-Caribbean and Southern United States (Soul Food). Due to the proximity of the Bahamas to the United States and the importation of a lot of food products, the Bahamian palate has a taste for fish and grits, and other soul food dishes.

Excellent choice! The vibe is nice in Miami! Things are closing a little earlier due to the pandemic so try to be ahead in your planning. I was back there this weekend and Wynwood (The new nightlife/vibe district) is closing down at 12AM.

I went to that restaurant and we sat in line for an hour and still ain’t get to order ended up back in lil Havana where it took 10 mins to get our food and order with the same amount of traffic
I’m sorry you had that experience. I have been there maybe 6-7 times and have had to wait on occasion but never like that… Sorry for your experience…. Little Havana is smooth… If you’re seeking Haitian food and are still in the Little Haiti or Miami area there are a few other places you can go to… Let me know if you’d like a recommendation….

About myself I am a older Black man I am currently in North Carolina and I have been in and around most but not all of Florida state, uh I been though a little part of Miami a couple of times as Truck driver ( around the Airport and Fort Lauderdale)When I was staying in Atlanta Ga I had stayed in a house that had a couple of ppl that were from Haiti and we were really good friends until I moved here to NC They were out of Bronx New York (I think)they had called it lil Haiti up there for them ( I m pretty sure it is much smaller than the one in Flo tho )but yea they had family and friends that they would go there every 6 months and tend to their needs for 2 weeks and then come back to Atlanta they never talk about Little Haiti in Fl but they would tell me when they fly to Haiti they would stop over in Miami's first but they never got visit much less see Little Haiti in Florida b/cus of that I had completely forgot about li Haiti in Fl
Is it a safe place for a older black American man like me to drive around and walk around are there any parks to go to ( I like to chill out at the parks sometimes) and I know I can Google it but just asking where is North Miami Ave & NW 62nd st Is it by the coast or by the airport or by I 95 ??
I’m here to support my brother... Little Haiti doesn’t feel dangerous to me... Especially if you’re an older gentleman. It’s really spread out and doesn’t have the same walkability that Calle Ocho in Little Havana has...
It’s very safe for you to drive around👍🏾
The best Park in the area is def Morningside Park... It’s on Biscayne Bay but just slightly outside of Little Haiti.
N Miami and 62nd lean a little bit more to 95...
