#anime #netflix #funny - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Chilchuck going straight to "motherfucker" is honestly gold
At least he said mother frog lol
Absolutely inspired change, literally perfect, I tip multiple hats.
Chilchuck cussing out Laios is still too good
Chillchuck had a mouth on him in this episode
Did he just say Monsanto ?
I guess i could be used as an insult!
Lets not neglect the eng dub's "MOTHER FUUUUUUU"
his the first to know about the sword
“The common language doesn’t have enough curse words!”
Such a great line.
One interesting thing you can see with the Sub vs Dub is that the Dub often puts a character-focused spin on things.
Just as a simple example: The stuff with the sword, you get multiple places where the dub has "this is whats happening" text ("I'm being insulted in a strange language!" and "It's stuck to the ground."), but the dub does that while also emphasizing what the character is feeling ("Please, don't cuss at me in a language I don't understand!" emphasizing that Laios is feeling shame about it, and "Why is this thing stuck to the grou-", both cut off to emphasize the speed of the scene, and also showing Chilchuck's frustration at it all).
Localization is a dirty word in the anime sphere, but this is what ***good*** Localization looks like: Translating not just the text but the emotions in the scene, so that a different language audience feels as close to the same way as the native audience.
Essentially, the problem with straightforward translation is that you can loose the original "voice" of the characters and scene by trying to focus on accuracy.
Good localization essentially has to pick out the right "voice" to give back the feeling of the scene
@@axelwust9376Sadly, most of the so-called localizers that made "localizers" a cuss word are just headcanon-loving narcissists instead.
@nameless_moon Honestly? This is what bothers me as well about this too.
Localizers should not parade that they've made changes. It's in their contract to make it accurate as well as good. If they made any, there should always be a good reason.
You can make changes, but make them *for* the translation, not *at* it.
I feel like Laios has an passive Super Armor skill like dude only felt itches when his botched off leg is reatached when Senshi and Chilchuck are screaming from their battered body.
I maybe thought about this too much, but I'm guessing Senshi and Chilchuk had way more internal injuries, and those had far more painful healing processes than Laios's leg. Then again, he did barely react when his leg was bitten through in the first place, so...
They both endure the pain from the initial wounds just fine but they scream from the healing pain.
While laios was clearly suffering hard core from the pain of their initial wound but only felt an itch from the healing pain.
Just seem like the pain felt are different for each kind of wound.
@@StonetheDestroyer42 he was already in extreme pain, and the pain of the severed leg made him pass out.
Laios’a leg was pretty cleanly cut so all there was to heal was the thin line where his leg was severed whole the other two probably suffered fractures, rupturing, and a whole lot of other stuff that had to be healed
Dude has pain resistance due to his childhood.
It took a couple watches but the scene where Marcille was yelling at the guys as debris rains down on them I just couldn’t help but laugh at their expressions. It’s even funnier that only Senshi is using his pan to avoid the hits while the other two make the most hilarious expressions. You just got to admire studio Trigger’s animation
Adventuring is 60% making shit up as you go. 35% running for your life. And the last 5% is when things actually go according to plan.
As they say, no plan survives first contact with the enemy
3:37 - 4:09
Senshi knows the true terror.
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Love how she gets her own back on senshi for making her eat all those monsters
Marcille's practically carrying the party on her back as is, imagine if she even had just a fraction of Frieren's magic from episode 25&26
If she did, there wouldn't be anything left of the red dragon. Reduced to atoms.
Then we wouldn't have a show since she would have soloed the red dragon in the very first scene, and Falin wouldn't have died
We kinda forget that despite the group's weird dynamic, they're still experienced adventurer.
Great choice of using "Monsanto" as one of half-foot native curse words. You know, THAT herbicide, GMO crop making company.
Yeah, gotta figure that was 100% intentional :D.
@Wraithfighter Seriously!!
Any reading of the manga or the anime deeper than a papercut goes so hard on people's relationship to food well beyond "get all your nutrients and remember that thinness is overrated at best," going into how non-Laios Team adventurers literally have to put their lives on the line to reliably keep food on the table, to how cooking food you enjoy is just as important as making sure your food has the calories/nutrients your body needs, and even more from the manga that I refuse to spoil just yet.
Ryoko Kui absolutely knew what she was doing with Dunmeshi with respect to the relationship between food, access to same, and class. The end villain of the manga could very easily be described as a metaphor for monstanto.
Honestly, you could have just put the whole episode here if you only wanted the parts where they suffer.
Especially the last part of the episode...
Laios "It's hot!" in the sub version is hilarious 0:32
This episode was everything I hoped it would be! Excellent job Trigger!
Laios sounds like he's resisting summoning Mahoraga
Both VA's are awesome.
Marcille healing Chilchuck and Senshi: Unimaginable pain
Marcille healing Laois: itchy
This episode was so sad.
At the end, but the fight and the first couple minutes afterwards were funny.
Seeing those 3 goofers run like that makes me wanna watch the anime now. Which studio worked on this?
Edit: Should've known that Studio Trigger worked on this. Now I *have* to watch it!
Rare instance where I kinda like the dub better
Seriously. Like, I promise to rewatch the sub, but the dub is the gold standard of localizations.
Bruh when Senshi throw Kensuke (Laios's Sword) and say "L A I O S!" is better in ENG than JP
timestamp : 2:30 - 2:45
Unfortunately it can't help me from hearing ProZD's normal voice in his regular performance. Wish he gruffed it up a bit more like when he yells
When you hear enough of a given voice actor, you hear their "regular" voice in everything, regardless. I know a JK Simmons character after the first syllable. Still love the shit out of any character he voices on that alone.
After reading the manga; if anything, SungWon put the perfect amount of Dad Energy in for Senshi.
Sungwon fucking smashed it. Rare Dub...W?
Crazy Adventures crazy adventure.
The dub is so much better it’s not a challenge

I might be the only one but I think she did to get back of him. From all the time he made. Monster food for her and her team😅😅
That's interesting. Being an english speaker, I thought the English sounded more emotional.
I guess different languages have different ways of communicating emotion or "tone".
English is better
JP Marcille: I don't understand a word, but she sounds female.
ENG Marcille: Gorlock the Destroyer
Weird way to spell Namari
Her voice sounds deepee but not that deep lol
Bro, if Eng Marcille doesn’t sound female to you you need to go outside and talk to more adult 3 dimensional women.
Culture war brainrot poisoned your brain so much that you think Emily Rudd doesn't sound feminine.
THAT SOUNDS DEEP TO YOU???
