Awesome video, I’ve been stuck at getting these done in 45 mins killing my time, never thought to pull the beams out first and build as I unpack. Appreciate it, now I can not be so mad when I see a palette of double plays!
Very helpful. I have assembled one so far, and it definitely got the best of me. I agree, no shame in checking out the instruction manual. I always have the manual out, just in case I forget how to do a step. I always have it out on weber grills, there are some steps where I forget. Better to take a few extra minutes to look at the manual then to assemble something and have to go back and re do a step.
Great video for time completed, but I thought the purpose was to show others how to do it. Example, what directions do the lip of the sliders and stopper brackets go. You've done this so many, you know from memory, but the average person does not have that option.
Actually, my original goal with this channel was to help train new assemblers. A resource for them to use when I'm not around. That said, it's always a good idea to refer to the instruction manual with those kinds of questions. I'm not sure what the sliders & stopper brackets are...
I would like to, however, I can't afford that kind of production. I've had people tell me I need multiple camera angles and maybe even provide images of the assembly manual but it's just me doing this with a phone. Although my techniques typically diverge significantly from the manual, you can find each step in the manual, however counter-intuitive it seems. For any steps or part identification in question, always defer to the manual for clarity.
I bust out the assembly guide if it's something I've never done before. I make sure I'm using all the right screws/bolts/washers in the right place. This one has a lot of lock washers and flat washers and it took me a few times of assembling along with the manual to memorize where to use them all.
I show it right around the 13:30 mark in the video. The igniter wires get plugged into the battery box before you attach the control panel. If your double play is already assembled then you have to take the control panel off to plug them in - 1) remove the grates and flame tamers; 2) remove the 4 screws securing the control panel; 3) locate the battery box that is attached to the control panel; 4) it's kind of hard to get to but plug the wires in - left wire in the top plug, middle wire in the middle plug, right wire in the bottom plug; 5) re-attach control panel.

Double Play ruins the day. Had two waiting on me this morning, I can't imagine a full pallet. Nooope.

I never could figure out how to hang the Propane tank on the propane hanger.
Thanks for making the video. Helpful!
Nice video!!! Thanks a lot
Good video man, but maybe slower with zoom in. Like the bracket, flashing it for a half a second. But helpful. Thanks

Owners' Manual? We don't need no Owners' Manual! Lol Thumbs Up!

Where do I plug in the igniter plugs?

Can you do a grand champ video walk through?
Next time I get one, yeah.
Here's a smokin' Champ. I was testing out my new headset... terrible audio... I'll do another one ASAP.

You do way different then I do.
Thanks. The important thing is the washers.
@@BenTheBuilder I’m not talking about washer. I’m talking about how you assemble it different then I wood do it.
@@greggwaters I have a feeling we do a lot of things differently...
@@BenTheBuilder the way you setup is much better than the manual. If i have watch
this earlier i wouldn't having problem setting up mine.
@@BenTheBuilder I have a feeling you’re much better at this than he is.
Anyone else break the igniter spring when putting in the battery? Fucking awesome…..
Big mistake buy this grill in the box..
hahaha true!
Not useful if you're looking for a detailed tutorial. The instructions in the booklet are not clear. Thought the video would help...
