How To Hunt Crows At All Times Of The Year | Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring

Depending on where you hunt, you can hunt crows them during all four seasons, summer, fall, winter, and spring. One of the most appealing things about crow hunting for beginners is how long the season is in some states. However crows behave a little differently in each season which means different tactics are needed to maximize your chance of success.

I really enjoy the early fall, when the leaves are still on the trees. Usually I'm out hunting other small game and have had good luck just calling to them when I hear them in the distance as I'm hunting other things like squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, etc. Usually once the scout comes in and finds it safe, there's a whole bunch of them that start circling, with some flaring and/or landing on treetops making for some easy shots. After shooting I make a wounded crow sound with mouth call or e-caller and they often come back for more! Winter is my favorite time of the year to hunt them. Its a great reason to get outside then.

A key area for me in spring is by roadways that divide a swampy area. In spring the frof roadkill rate peaks in these areas and the crows, coons, and possums key in on those roadways
