    I originally had M/Ts on Groot and they were 32x11.5r15s. Through time I slowly started to regret the M'Ts. They were good off-road here in Florida where there is more soft mud but other than that they weren't great. In sugar sand they were problem as they dug too hard and actually made driving through sugar sand a bit sketchy. My old M/Ts were loud and obnoxious and didn't ride well.
    I switched to Kenda Klever A/T2s last year and OMG...what a huge difference! MPGs we're noticeably better, ride quality and wet and dry traction were soo much better too. They handle off-road environments extremely well also.
    One of the best things I did to Groot was to switch to All terrains! Great video as always!

      Sounds like a very similar experience to mine, especially when many years ago when it was Insa Turbo tyres, Look it up 😅 the more recent tyres did have good road manners to be fair but noticeably better with AT 👍these being a more aggressive All Terrain makes the off road performance more than adequate for 95% off what we do.

    I run 35inch Maxxis Trepadors on my L200. They insane when im in deep mud (which isnt often) and they look so good on my truck, other than that though, theyre very noisy and not needed for overlanding. You made the right choice with ATT for touring

      Yep I've been there 😂 good when you need them that's for sure! Maybe not the other 95% of the time lol

    Modern All Terrain tyres are really good, although you do have to be more careful of the sidewalls on more extreme offroading, but for 99% of the time they are as good or better than mud terrains. In terms of tyres with Three Peak certification, the General Grabber AT3 or the Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus are good value. The Pirelli is very good in snow, at least according to my Swedish friends.

      Not had a bad experience as of yet with side wall touch wood! Tough considering what we put them through over the years. The Grabbers so seem to be that much more by price. Not seen the Pirelli in action. In Scandinavia the snow performance is going to matter some! ❄️❄️😅

    Great video as usual. Have to agree that A/T are definitely the best for what you do, and not a BFG in sight 😉🤣 Have a great Xmas 🥃🥃

      Hahaha you noticed did you! Yeah I wouldn't go back for the overland now but perhaps a dedicated off road vehicle 😜

    Hi. I hope this message gets to you. I've asked previously about fitting Pagero gen 2 parts to the Gen 1. You said you have done it to the front-end. Was it a straight swap and what did you swap to gen2 from gen1

    • @JKoverland
      @JKoverland  Před rokem +1

      Definitely not straight swap but axles and suspension components. Did require a fair amount of custom fabrication.

      Hard to call but these have been on a couple years and seen some adventures around the 15k miles so far and definitely will see that again and some more I reckon.
