JKoverland was born from our love for travel, particularly traveling by four wheel drive vehicle enabling us to travel further and longer reaching places otherwise inaccessible via other forms of transport.
We are Jack and Kristina a couple who thrives on adventure and sustainable living. While traveling we get to meet other overland travelers sharing stories and conducting interviews on their experiences, vehicles and expeditions.
Nature inspires us to push our boundaries, leave that ever so comfortable "comfort zone" to go in search of experiences not material wealth and connect with people and communities along the way.

By leaving each place we visit that little bit cleaner, each mile can be turned into a positive impact against damage to our environment.

It's upgraded to mk2 arms and shockers. Bars are cranked a little.

Same here! The Paj made it all the way home on about a litre of oil a day and had a shiny new upgrade turbo and other bits at home 😁

That looked like a fun trip!! What was the issue with the Pajero?
We loved it! It was letting dust through the filter thus knackered the turbo seals which passed a lot of oil into the intake 😳
@@JKoverland I'm confused, you seem impressed about the snorkle filter and clean air filter... but then say sand has got in to the intake (which the filters should be cleaning?) and worn the turbo seals?
Great stuff! My ol' ML320 only does 20mpg, on good roads, so with that load of kit, and off road it wouldn't do 16 to 18mpg and double the cost....
I was very impressed with the Hilux for that. We are more used to the figures you speak of 😂

It definitely is! I mean it's a fair trek but can be done in 3 days to the ferry. Absolutely a good idea to skip the winter time. Southern Spain and Portugal to for the win!

I have been loving watching this trip, I made an almost identical one way back in 1994, back then we used a very primitive Magellan GPS and a couple of Michelin maps with some extra lat/longs written on from a times world atlas. Our original plan was to go from Taouz to Zagora, but having made slower progress than we planned we turned north at Taghbalte, and headed back through Todra gorge. What navigation tools did you use, was it all just follow google maps?
I can only imagine it to be more raw in the 90's it must have been one epic adventure. Less roads l would think. We used a mixture of Google maps and Wikiloc off road trails shared by friends. Best. J&K
@@JKoverland That's was an amazing trip, no mobile phones, "smuggled" CB radios for comms, no fridges, ground tents. no fleets of truck campers, although we did end up in a desert raid car rally by accident, they were really helpful and welcoming. I noticed you appeared to have your bedding piled behind the front seats, does that mean the rtt or canopy wasn't as dust proof as expected? I had my Disco 14 years and never fully got rid of the feche feche :-)
I have 290bhp 775nm torque with the m57 with a zf8hp70 8 speeed transmission in my l200 and surprisingly good on fuel love the sound of the the v8 but the m57 makes more sense as a daily .looks awesome 👌
