The fuel pump if it’s the same as the Audi s3 2014, then I was advised there’s 2 fuel pumps as it’s a two part fuel tank. There’s a pump that pumps the fuel from the tank you fill into a second tank. Then there’s a second pump that fires the fuel into the engine. It’s the first pump that often fails. The symptoms is fuel starvation, when you boot the car, it immediately drops power. Really hard power drop, enough to throw you out of the seat slightly

We purchased a 2019 Audi RS 3 and now have 46,718 miles on it of which 33,519 miles
have been fast country back road runs, made 3 days a week tues, weds, thurs, between
10am and 2pm as weather permits. I am retired and have been involved in driving fast
country back roads since 1958. We changed the factory installed SUMMER ONLY 19-inch
tires on our RS 3 to new 18-inch Michelin tires using Michelin Pilot Sport 245/40 ZR 18,
on Neuspeed RSe10 18x8.5 inch alloy wheels, capabile of surviving poor surface quality
country back roads, primarily pot holes and bad surface breaks. They have worked great
thus far... as they have on our earlier 2015 VW Golf R DSG, fitted with the same tire and
wheel configuration. (ROAD TEST MILEAGE UPDATED 5/24/23)

Too bad he didn't wear a different microphone while in the garage. The echo in the garage is pretty high and it may be difficult to understand what he is saying by some people, who have recently written to me about this. An all too common problem with many video productions
and presenters who never seem to look and listen to what they've recorded, before ever
    posting it on the Internet.

    • @rodpaine7552

That certainly applies to the mileage and service that the RS 3 is showing. I've seen several low mileage (less than 50k miles) that were in questionable condition, while others with significatly more mileage were in much better shape.
Recepits of service performed is important, as is the simple matter of what the
'physical' condition of the car is in. Spending some time in the car is never a waste of time, when trying to determin its real condition.

USA here. When the RS3 opened initially for pre order, I specc'd one and waited. And waited. And finally I got tired of waiting. The breaking point was when Audi told me the car was at port in Houston awaiting a solution to a recall on an engine component. Brand new car, a recall? I canceled my order, and hopped into a bmw. An M40i.. totally different vehicle with a different philosophy. But ultimately I'm happy with my decision. For a similar price, interior on the bimmer is much nicer. And this M40i can really scoot. Not as quick as the RS3 but still.

@seal-65_gggg39 is the rs3 as analog and pure as some of the best offerings from the early 2000s? Stop pretending like these modern computers on wheels are more fun. Keep your "1 2 4 5 3" because none of that crap impresses me lol
My m40i is primarily a commuter/hauler that occasionally provides some spirited driving. But I have no illusions about what it is. All these modern cars now are just 99% machine and 1% driver. Rs3 is no different.

  • @therocket280z7
    @therocket280z7 Před 11 měsíci

These, and the TT rs, are really cool cars. With the exception that they're an Audi. I mean, a q5 2.0t is a quick vehicle too when you have time to take advantage of it's tech, and the rs3 is obviously more performance oriented. Although they still weigh 2 tons, and won't handle properly without wider tires in the front....
They're just a bit all wet as a daily. They'll eat your wallet, you spend a lot of your time waiting for the turbo to spool, and they will lose so much value because they're going to eat more wallets in the future, with $500 pieces of plastic and fake CELs.
I want to love em, but it's not easy,..
