We start our day at the bustling Hat Yai Junction, the central railway hub of the city.
🍽️ Lunch at Kak Sah Muslim Kitchen:
Before our train ride, we indulge in a delicious lunch at Kak Sah Muslim Kitchen. This local gem offers mouth-watering dishes that fuel us up for the journey. Join us as we savor authentic Thai-Muslim cuisine.
🚂 Train Ride from Hat Yai Junction to Padang Besar:
We boarded the train from Hat Yai Junction and set off for Padang Besar, the border town between Thailand and Malaysia. Enjoy the scenic views and relaxed vibe as we travel through the picturesque countryside.
🛂 Crossing the Thailand-Malaysia Border:
Upon reaching Padang Besar, we navigated the border crossing process. It was a race against time as we had to catch the next train.
🚆 Changing Trains to Butterworth:
After clearing the border, we boarded a Malaysian train heading to Butterworth. Warning: This train ride took an uncomfortable 2 hours journey.
⛴️ Ferry to Penang:
From Butterworth, we take a scenic ferry ride to Penang Island. The views of the sea and the city skyline are breathtaking.
