I am native Arabic speaker 😑. Unfortunately, this guy called “Sheikh Sulaiman” doesn’t know what he is talking about. He cherry picked a verse that speaks about how non muslims took their rabbis and priests as GODs next to the creator and left what they were ordered to follow. This is what happens when you don’t read the verse in its context. What he doesn’t know that there is a prophecy about him in the hadith books that he is attacking:
Al miqdam ibn karb al-kandi narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Verily, I have been given the Book and something similar to it along with it (the Sunnah). Soon, there will be a man lying comfortably on his couch saying: 'We should adhere to this Quran only. Whatever you find permissible in it, deem it permissible, and whatever you find impermissible, deem it impermissible.'" [Sahih al-Jami' 2643].
Moreover, his arabic level is below poor (catastrophic) and thats fine as long as he doesn’t mislead muslims with his ideas that is based on his desires.

Edit: it’s a really unfair comparison, to compare the Talmud and the writings of the church fathers to Hadith, Hadith has many rules, I’m not an Islamic scholar or expert, but according to Hadith scholars, like Al-Imam Bukhari and Al-Imam Muslim, like the chains or asānīd in Arabic must be connected, like they must have seen each other like narrators of Hadith, and many other rules, like the person must have good memory, cuz if you have bad memory you can say wrong stuff, the person must NOT be a liar, an example for liars is Abū Sa’īd Al-Kalbiyy, he’s a liar in addition to be a Rāfidhiyy

There's a big polemic in da'wah scene in Indonesia where there's a da'ee that claim that surah Ash-Shu'ara means "the surah of Musicians" when it's actually "the surah of Poets". There's many criticism againts him regarding this, but that da'ee and his follower really like to throw syubhat like "it's not the time for this, let's focus on Palestine issue" or "don't search for people mistake" or "it's only a small issue, don't make it into a big issue" or "it's just a matter of difference, don't make it a big issue" to silence people's criticism againts him.

Ibn ‘Uyayna said: “Everything by which Allah described Himself with then its recitation is its explanation (tafsir).” Abul-Qasim says then commenting upon Ibn ‘Uyayna’s saying: “That means the attributes have to be taken on their apparent meaning and it is not permissible to interpret (ta`wil) as metaphors and figurative meanings (majaz).”

When i finally started practicing Islam, I didn't know what a Quranist was and they put doubts in my mind, but i quickly did research and disspelled them. I'm just a basic convert Muslim too, so many others should better!
On hadith, the following verses are useful:
1. Quran 3:31, 'say, if you indeed love allah, follow me and allah will love you and will forgive you your sins. Allah is all-forgiving, all-compassionate'; ie. are we not to follow 'hadith' too?
2. And, in quran 3:32, 'say: "obey allah and obey the messenger". If they turn away from this then know that allah does not love those who refuse to obey Him and His messenger'; ie. are we not to follow 'hadith' too?.
Quranist are lowkey Ahmadi qadiyanis or shia.
This dude, Shoaib Malik, AND Javad?! It's like a Venn diagram of the fasiqun.
And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him - it is those who are the attainers ~ Qur’an 24:52

I have no clue how this guy got himself "appointed" as an unofficial spokesperson for our community. I've heard this guy say some bizarre stuff that has absolutely no basis in the deen, to the contrary. As Jake has pointed out it's not even clear that this Sulaiman guy is a part of Ahlul Sunnah wa Jamaah.
When you have difficulty pronouncing things you pronounce them like *similar-sounding* letters; only and only if you just one time looked at a youtube video on how different letters sound you will pronounce them like *similar-looking* letters.
