[Elven Tree City - Payton L Smith]
I foolishly joined a merchant caravan to trek through the largest forest in the world with. The fabled woods proved to hostile for such a company. Trees grew twice as high as the tallest man-built towers I’ve ever seen, and the wildlife seemed not to heed or fear us.
All seemed well for the first few weeks, then I began to think it saner to have attempted a sail across the great ocean. I might have found the other side faster. The attack happened when we least expected, a non-human raiding group. A club darkened my world before I could make out the attackers.
I woke upon a bed of white lace and silk to the sweet and soft songs of birds. Giggles drew me off the bed and I noticed movement outside my room. I stepped out to a balcony wrapping around one of the titanic sequoias.
All the trees housed balconies and huts up far above the forest floor. Water trickled down wooden chutes going to many of the households and carved-stone fountains. An elf taller than I stood outside the door singing and playing lightly on a harp to accompany the songs from wind through leaf.
She walked me through the elven tree city claiming they’d found me unconscious in the woods. Though friendly, the elves wouldn’t let me stay and sent me on my way with a pack, directions, and a stern good-bye.
I’ve been looking for that paradise again for many seasons and will find it again.

[Love Birds - Proopypants]
I had never danced like that. The gentle shushing of the fabric in my robes. The dappled silver moonlight was haloed by the green of the leaves. My stomach hurt from laughter. I’m spinning and spinning and spinning; out to spirals of pink, and green, and gold. I knew that I loved Shava that night and for every day after.
We’re running now - across the narrow swaying bridges that span between the giant trees. The city glitters with the candles lit in every colour and adorning every window. Far below, the river runs. It’s fed by the tumbling crystalline waterfalls that kiss the sides of tree trunks. Her hand is so warm in mine. Her dark skin is soft. She turns her head, her hair whipping across her face and around her pointed ears, revealing the wide smile underneath. She giggles and grin in return. Our feet stumble on between trees and bridges and narrow walkways.
Suddenly, she stops.
“We’re here” she breathes, her voice small and excited as her gaze turns upward. I turn mine upward too.
Above us a beautiful menagerie of birds - crimson and periwinkle, buttercup yellow and midnight black - sing their dawn chorus. Have we really stayed up that long? As the sun crests to the top of the trees, staining the silver light to pink, and green, and gold, I watch her. She gazes up singing a sweet Elven song of her ancestors as the birds chime back. She has never looked more beautiful.
📌 That Elven tree city ambience was a real pain to create. That's my own interpretation of it. Featuring sounds of birds, forest, instruments, female singing. It was very complexe to find CC0 sounds, so I recorded my girlfriend's voice and mine. It was easier for her since she's a real life elf and I'm a real life troll. Was fun to try to sound like light-hearted snobs :P. You can expect many more ambient creations like this one! You need a special ambience for your RPG sessions ? Just ask, and I create it !

This is honestly one of the best ambience videos I've ever seen. So soothing, so magical.
Honestly was writing a story about a trio of brothers going on a quest to save their father from death, and I needed to think of a place for the battle-worn boys to rest and recover. I hit a roadblock on where they could go until I listened to this, hearing the singing and natural noises, and boom; the Elven tree-city of Adhmad Airgid. Thanks for the inspiration!
Elven campaign has begun for my group. I’ve been building and painting the terrain ( seen in my videos). This is so perfect for our game this Saturday when they’ll reach the heart of Alfheim on Mystara. Beautiful stuff.

it's like slowly walking into the meadow in bright sun, long walking distance in all directions are trees surrounding it with some bridges hanging in their crowns.
Here and there are small groups of common elves talking to each other, playing some games and enjoying every moment of it - they all are aware of you, but they also know you are so startled in awe like if they were butterflies and any of your further step would make them disappear.
So you just stand there, not knowing whether they laugh about you or their games and consider you simply as some strayed puppy.
You want to approach them, but you won't dare.
So you slowly walk around, hoping they will approach you first....
I listen to this for a long time now and I promised myself to go back one day and thank you for it.

I don’t play dnd but the ambiance’s that your community creates are so detailed and pure honestly wish I knew how to play because the sounds are hypnotic as it it’s, love it
There is nothing hard in it. Yeah the start may be complicated due to some stats rolls and character creation overall, but then it's pretty much an endless fantasy adventure with every possibility you can ever IMAGINE. The only thing that can spoil it to a lot of people is a bad DM. I've heard quite a lot of stories about those.

My companion's family waits for us. Thankfully, this place is unbelievably peaceful like a never ending dream. We will stay here for a few months. Perhaps the elven craftsmen will take the monster parts that we have collected in exchange for some of their wares. My companion and I will drink hot tea in the misty mornings on elaborately carved benches as birds sing.

This must be what heaven sounds like.
Druidry. Often laughed at and mocked by distant mages. "Filthy hedge magic" they call it.. That is, until they become overwhelmed by the local Ents or the great bears in the caves. They scoff and chuckle. But we laugh back because if it wasn't for our ways, their lands would be nothing but a desolate wasteland fit for the lich to lay claim. We cherish this gift of Gaia and keep in our hearts the connection with the wildlife that it continues to provide. Druidry is just as powerful and even more so important as the other arcane forms. (sorry if this is a grammatical nightmare lol)

This is so good! Almost perfect.
If you care for my stupid critical opinion, I think the piano was too much. I didn't hear much of it, but when I did, it felt a bit 'wrong' compared to the harmony of the rest. It has this very "tangible" feel - I can almost see a hand playing the piano next to the microphone. Moreover, it is eerier than the rest of the track. I get why you added it, tho. I just find it risky.
Apart from that, you did a really good job, as everyone else seems to agree ;)

I understand your comment, and I understand your point of view. It's a harp though, but sometimes they sound alike. Perhaps I should do a redux version for the bandcamp release, with softer notes and a bigger reverb room.

Hi. I composed everything myself and even recorded the voices. I never used any sound from any game as I don't have rights over them. I own all copyrights on everything posted on my channel, except for the pictures (which are credited when I know who made them).
