The 124300 has a "Twin Lock" system with 70 hours power reserve. Just short of 3 days. No issues swimming with it. (330 feet) it is a "Sports" watch. Just an FYI!

These must be people who have never owned or worn one of these watches. The Rolex sport models are virtually indestructable. If you have a polished dress watch, you are more careful with it only because you don't want to scratch the polish on it. However, the all stainless models that do not have the polished center links, can be treated as badly as you want. You can wack them on door knobs, lay on the ground and scratch them on the concrete, you can take it off and toss it on the table. You can put it in your pocket with your keys. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BREAK IT. If you were to slam it on the concrete, you could break the crystal or crack a ruby inside, which has happened to one of my Subs and I had to replace the pallet fork. I wore the same Rolex 2-tone Submariner for 15 years straight, it was a 1990 model I bought in 2004. I wore this watch daily as a car mechanic and fabricator. Every once in a while I would re-polish it myself on a buffing wheel, but then I started doing a satin brush finish on it using a purple Scotch-Brite. Yes, that's right, I did in the sink. I get constant compliments on the finish. When it gets scratched up, about every 6 months, I re-polish it. I don't give a shit about it's value and sellability and originality, I am not selling it and if I do, I don't care, so please save me the speech, I don't care.

It might take you 4-12 weeks to get one but you dont need to pay the ridiculous markup from gray market nor do you have to spend on other watches to get one brand new from AD. I can understand scarce sports models but if an AD wants you to buy other watch brands just step up to Rolex, walk away immediately and go to the next AD.
If I had to step up and buy other luxury priced items to get into an entry level Rolex, it means i have money to splurge. Which in turn means I'd walk out of Rolex and and go to AD to get me a Vacheron Constantine watch
Fantastic showcasing the watch.... It is though double lock... underline of the crown means that. Oyster P. also indicates waterproofness.... you can do all watersports of your choice with the crown fully tightened ! I have decided to order the Coral, second choice Light blue... then Yellow ; )
I went an AD in my area, and told the sales person that I will buy such and such watches if she can get me a Rolex sport. She just looked at me and said " I wish it could be that simple", and never took the deal. What happened here? Can someone tell me?
I have an Orient Mako II that has an orange face on it, it cost around 300 bucks, its certainly no Rolex, but I have people stop me to look at it and compliment it all the time.
@7.59 there *is* a Crown etching in the Sapphire Crystal, all Rolex (post 2003) have it now. It might be hard to see with the naked eye, but with a loupe and at the right angle, it'll be visible...

Sorry, but having to suck up to an AD simply isn’t worth it to me. Plenty of other (available) watches. But to each their own.
I've owned a Oyster Perpetual with textured dial 34MM, smooth bezel, and raised white gold name. Cool classic design entry level indeed.

Sounds like the late 80's VW GTI colour Mars Red. Depending on the light it was orange-y or red-ish. Was a great colour for that car.

I didn't know one has to have relationship with AD, to buy a Rolex. I think I would walk away to another AD or move on to another brand.
