In our local forums the new no date and date subs are going for around 50-55% over list and the coloured OPs are going for 110% for the green, 200% for the red and yellow and for the Tiffany 250-300% over MSRP. Who would have ever thought this would be the case????
And candy pink?
seems crazy just for a dial colour but regularly seeing Tiffany dial going for 300% now

Good watch at RRP. But local flippers are selling it at around US$15,000 (for the baby blue dial) in my country. LOL. Absolutely not worth it at that price.

Saw the OP yellow 31 mm in person. The color is spectacular matte mustard yellowish. It draws you in and I was not able to take my eyes off of it. Initially just wanted to look at it for fun but ended up purchasing it as a gift for my mom. Now I’m waiting for a 41 mm to come in at some point. Also had the opportunity to look at the turquoise as well and personally the yellow is my favorite. Great vid here but seeing these OPs in person makes a huge difference.
Great video. At this price point, you also have GS, Omega, JLC, Tudor, Zenith, Panerai, IWC and Bell & Ross, to name a few. There’s a LOT of terrific competition out there and it would take me a long time to make a decision in this price/style bracket. But I confess: this OP41 has the inside track,

Yellow works so well on certain watches. Best yellow dial I've seen has to be the Breitling Seawolf, especially the earlier version with red accents. I can't believe we had to wait for Rolex to release a yellow dial OP for the trend to truly come alive but this is the world we live in, I suppose. Anyway - great shots as always, Hafiz, real pleasure to watch!
Funny, I bought the Seawolf in steel with yellow dial in 2012. After 6 months, I still hadn't found a time to wear it, so I let it go. Back in Nov 2020, my local AD called me for the yellow OP41. I bought it to give yellow another chance, but again I had to let it go. I think yellow is too difficult to wear for me, too jarring. I have to admit the OP41 looks great on pictures, just not on my wrist.

I love your content, it's honestly the best of the best. And you're a very smart dresser...may I offer a humble advice...? You should really start wearing belts, no outfit is complete without them (especially when tucking your shirts in). I work in fashion and it always hit my eye wrong, when seeing your 'from a distance' shots, with a nice outfit but no belt to tie it together ... No criticism at all, just my humble advice! Genuinely enjoy your content... Keep it up

41mm is just too big for an all dial watch. What next a 43mm OP? The perfect size for these time only watches is 38mm.

I’m surprised that the OP41 looks so good on your 6.5inch wrist. I tried the Explorer 1 and it felt like a saucer on my 6.5inch wrist. Ended up going for the OP36.

Great video!! I keep watching it to help decide whether 36 or 41 would be better (since we have the same wrist size). Have there been any difficulty getting the new Colored OPs in ADs today?
The main offers of the colorful OPs are its colors (red, green, yellow, T blue), and 41mm is the right size to show them.

Hah. I think they were being earnest when they told you that. At that time they probably hasn't realized that these color dial would skyrocket in popularity. When it (immediately) did, well, they have to play the "bundling" game.

This is a great sleeper piece. Scary-good accuracy for mechanical. 904 steel is as hard as lead.
I mostly agree; it's a very accurate watch. However 904 steel isn't any harder than normal steel and lead is actually a very soft metal, although heavy.

36MM looks better on your wrist IMO.
I find it too difficult to wear, too jarring. I gave it a try but had to let it go. Turquoise maybe, easier on the eye, on paper.

No. Rolex has been using Yellow dials since a long time. You can see magazines of Antique Rolex watches.
Surprised u didn’t mention the colourful OPs are copycats, ok homage to the Stella Dials of Day-Dates in the 1070s-1980s. Phillips sold a yellow Stella last year for just over US$200,000.

You are unfortunately wrong: this very yellow DOES have historical significance and IS typically associated with Rolex. The tiffany blue, coral red & yellow OP41 are all references to the famous day-date stella dials of the 1960s with exactly the same colors. And the yellow is a reference to the most famous one: nicknamed the bart simpson, a Rolex icon. I am surprised: you are very keen on details yet seem to lack a lot of historical background in your reviews. No one is perfect I guess..
Having a history and a historical significance are two different things. Just because there’s a history doesn’t mean it was historically significant enough to make an impact.
It also depends on how you define “historical significance”. To me personally, Stella dials were history, not historically significant.
Anything that was once done and not poplar today isn’t as such significant, but again it’s subjective.
