I thought the reason to buy a hearse was to get a well-maintained dirt cheap american luxury car with a v-8. But I can appreciate going full send on the hokey retro-horror aesthetic.
you know what I got inspired to get one but without the vinyl top, straight painted side and do a 70s van mural on the side but make it spooky, Halloween or horror themed, something like that. can customize the tail and head light to have skeletons, spiderwebs or bats etched into them so they are visible when switched on, maybe hook up a fog machine to a 110 power converter so it'll get a little smokey at the car show, drop it on bags and dress up as the undertaker to admire the hard work infront of the mere mortals enjoying my creation
It's a good way to get a wagon-ish model of a car that wasn't commonly available as a wagon.

My buddy bought a hearse in San Francisco and drove it up to Maine.. It was actually a FANTASTIC car.. Tons of room, pretty reliable and just COOL...its gone now but I still have the funeral home badging for it..

I was looking at a sweet Caddy hearse a couple of years ago. I was ready to buy but my wife shut me down 😒. Still on my bucket list though. Do I want it for any practical purpose whatsoever? Nope. Just think they’re 😎.
Just make sure if its a Caddy, you have to be careful of the years if it has the northstar engine in it, or be prepared to do a lot of work to the engine.
They also are pretty good campers as you could easily fit a body back there. Just throw in a mattress and some bedding and voila. A camper
