This game is sort of a happy medium between Green Hell and The Long Dark
When it comes to water canteens. Always go with stainless steel. One you can put the canteen on the fire. And boil the water, also be sure to remove the lid.. before boiling
You should go with titanium as stainless will still release harmful metals in your food or water after long term use

This is a game ive been waiting for for so long. Im sick of surviving zombies. I have always wamted a hunting fishing outdoor survival game. I'll getting this Friday when I cash my paycheck. Ive been playing call of the wild since the day it released and this is the element of the game that I was missing. Dont get me wrong I love call of the wild but this may take its place for awhile.

You have to fill up your canteen at running water you can't do steel water still water has parasites you have to do it up on the mountain where there's running water running water doesn't have parasites it's naturally running water I have the game and it's pretty cool I'm learning more as I watch people play

the game is under rated
After killing the elk, why didn't u stop, build a campfire and cook some of the mushrooms and meats? Would have saved u from the food poisoning and would have decreased carrying weight.
I got this game honestly in the beginning didn't like it so much but I haven't even made it past the first part so I can't pass judgment but what I've seen of later gameplay yes you do get ATVs snowmobiles other things all kind of weapons and other things like that they are also hidden things on the map
Rabbit is a mild flavored meat that can pick up flavors it is cooked with. It is VERY LEAN so if you are going to roast it over a fire wrap it in bacon first.( it will baste and flavor the meat while it cooks or it will dry out! Stewed with peeled cat tail roots which are very much like potatoes, in a flavorful sauce or gravy is best.)

The Duck paddlin in the air is worth the purchase price.
bear meat is good when hunted a few weeks after they wake from hibernation.(a guesstimate) it is like really intense pork flavor but greasy ribs grilled on coal bed was very good with red snapper and black tail deer haunch slow rotisoried for hours yum! oh and prawns caught aboyt 5-6 hours earlier.

I have to disagree on the voice acting. Those southern accents are borderline insulting. The Swedish woman trying to do a southern accent is hilarious. The game is not bad, but the voice acting is a fat zero.

Would be better, if the cooking and building and crafting, is more interactive and detailed ., I know some will disagree. But just pressing a butten.. and the task being instantly done. Is just cheep and lame. Cooking, crafting and building, should be a fully interactive and in-depth, experience.

Especially in an open world concept I completely agree with you. It makes all the difference when your character can actually interact with the game better.
