  • I was asked to do a quick walk through interview of my #ToughVan ™️ at the Toolstop Instagram meet on the 20th December 2018. There was a lot to go through but these are just a few basics. This is a daily abused work van, not a show or demo van. I am not sponsored or endorsed by DeWalt, Stanley or any other brand. Everything has been purchased & built by myself from all the racking & ICE, to security, engine & body modifications. Im just a fan of a professional, reliable, durable, highly flexible & cost effective brand.
As standard, the van was a 2012 2.2 TDCI Ford Transit Jumbo Trend which has had a full engine rebuild, with Stage one map, clutch & lightened flywheel plus bigger big bearings, EGR blank & DPF gut plus uprated springs. Far too many other modifications to list.
I built everything from a bare shell specifically to suit my work requirements back in 2016 (long before DeWalt made their version of the Tough System Racking) & since then, it has done exactly that. My tools are abused daily but well looked after. I am a professional multi trader specialising in Kitchens, Bathrooms & Bedroom remodels & take great pride in my work. You van, setup & overall organisation is a true representation of your work ethics.
To touch on some of the security as we never had time to go over it, as well as a Thatcham approved Clifford G5 Concept 650 MkII alarm with proximity sensors & rear protection upgrades, 2 separate GPS trackers, one with fuel kill switch & microphone via real time app, a 6 camera CCD system recording 24/7 on 2 separate locked DVRs with remote viewing, loom guards, reinforced doors & secondary solenoid locking on doors & on the ToughRack. I also have Garrison locks all round including dead locks, Hykee TVL upgrade & OBD lock as well as 4 rigged smoke grenades on tamper switches. I have other measures in place that I don't publicly post.
If you love it, thanks for watching. If you dislike it, time you up’d your game & improved your work ethics.
