Great job Ollie. I do like to see a well-kitted-out van that's obviously had some thought put into the layout.
Brilliant job. So much thought, care and attention, even to the extent of having the carpet pile in the right direction. Now, just pop round and advise me in my workshop and shed 😂. Looking forward to your next upload 🌞
Haha thanks Ray. :D Get some carpet in your shed....
@@BradshawJoinery already got some - on the floor. It’s easier on the feet than concrete 😊
Well done Ollie, as usual.
You are an inspiration.
Thankyou Timothy!
Tidy work. Place for everything and everything in its place 🎉
Your going to convince yourself that drill bit was worth the spend soon 👍🏻😂
Haha 😂 I bought 2 so lots of convincing required. 😂😂😀
Like the idea for slide out vice bench, would come in very handy!!
Great video 👍
With your levels, just wait till you park too close to something and go to get your level then realise you can't get it out......maybe speaking from experience 😂
Well done!
Great , well done . The only thing you might want to do is line the roof, as in frosty weather the condensation will all freeze then drip on all your tools as it melts !!!
I had to shelve my van when i retired, her indoors made me get a car 😅. Thinks* should have shelved her & kept the van😊
🤣😂 assume her isn't on CZcams? 😀
Absolute class
Thanks matey 👍
Nice Job !!!
Thanks Michael
Who would do that ! My identical responce two weeks back when replacing the wheel arch boxing and finding they had been drilled through.
They've obviously never had a rotten transit van wheel arch to deal.with 😂
Another great video. Bonny 👍
Cheers Philip
Spent last couple of days making racking for new van. I'll go and watch CZcams for a minute, for a break from all that I thought.
This made me Lol 😆😆 cheers mate
@@BradshawJoinery Perhaps you can tell me, why I after moving my stuff from one van to the other, I've ended up with two vans full of stuff?
@@gav2759 😂😂😂😂😂
It's called progress. I'm progressing well too so don't worry
Love the van rack. It's good to know I've chosen the same mix of DeWalt and festool as you. So I'm on the right path. Thanks for all the great vids.
Ahh, yeah good gear, the dewalt router is just such a great tool. as is their 54v Table saw.
Yeah, the table saw is really good. And having it battery is so good.
Would love to see you do a van conversion. I've done one and made some mistakes but on the whole it turned out well. No wonder the countersink bit is good its 57 quid!
Yeah id quite like to! Seen a few dodgy videos on them hah.
Those DeWalt drawers are lovely, would get some for my van but theyre not £130 nice lol
Good well thought out design like that shows the work ethic of the user to the customer. Just hope hope some crim scumbag doesn't crowbar open the door and pinch the lot as so often seems to happen these day sadly .
looking good. i couldnt trust those tools to stay there. i would put a bungy strap around just to be sure.
im supprised you didnt make the side door racking double sided . its wasted space anyway so you may as well use it from the other side
I did think a out double sided but only adapting now. Originally it fitted 2 layers of systainers and worked great...( But couldn't open them either.) If have to rebuild it completely to double side it and I simply don't.have the time. Adding this on was big effort! 😂
@@BradshawJoinery ]
i know the pain. im considering re doing my racking but the effort rewuired is hard to find and the benifits are not worth it enough to take a few days off
i would take the back off or cut holes in it and then put a piece inside between the shelves half way in
Great job. I need to do this to my van. I didn't see you fix anything to the structure of the van? Why not? I guess the over hanging scribe will do?
👍 tip-top bro...
🤝 thanks bud
great Job Ollie how about coming and doing mine Lol
Haha, I quite enjoy the solution finding aspect of it to be fair
but what has he planned to prevent tipping in the turns for the toolboxes🧐
It's great bud, the carpet pile does the job and the tool boxes take a serious over 50 degree tilt to roll. (they will not roll) only think that can wobble is the table saw and that lip of timber stops it if it does. But again if I sit it that way around the bed is heaviest and it only tilts towards the side of the van. 👍
I'm a tight git too. Unless it's timmy taylors landlord!!?
I'm afraid you have to be. Spend in the right places! 😀
Any chance you could do a review/comparison between the festool corded vs cordless extractor?
I’m thinking of getting a cordless one but worried about it having enough suction…….p.s I only use it for car cleaning so the suction is important
Carpet is 100% the best thing in a van!
One shudders to think of the consequences if the van was nicked! However, security is easy - just stick on a sign saying "No tools are left in this van overnight".
whens the raffles start i want the chance to win your countersink bit lol
HAHA Id enter that raffle to be fair
Nicely done. What make of table saw do you have in the van? Looks nice and compact.
Thanks it's the DeWalt 54v one. Great tool.
Love this video! Was just wondering what software you used to do the sketch on the computer before?
Thanks, Jack 👍🏼
Cheers Jack, it was Trimble Sketchup
Another great video. Came just in time as im about to rack out my new van, gave me a few ideas for mine. The screws in the drawer is a great idea. I share your fear of the organiser being open. Thats the sort of thing that happens when you've just finished a job and just want to go home after a long day 😅 do you have link to where you get the Würth screws from? Im guessing you order them in bulk
I buy through a rep on account. I think it's the only way. I would shop around next time. It's difficult to find a supplier that will do every size screw though tbh
The drawer inserts came from B&Q £10 screw organisers. The larger concrete screw ones from eBay but we're pricey
@BradshawJoinery do you just Google a local worth rep? I made an account with them yesterday, but their site is a little herd to navigate. I'm looking for a company where I can bulk orders, though, as I need to start building a stock of screws like yourself.
@BradshawJoinery I tend to get my concrete screws from toolstation
Give them a call and ask for a rep. They are quite keen for business, so usually chasing you 🤣
Pretty mint that mate, is that festool drill bit really worth it
Yeah I think so for sure. I bought a second one for my fitting kit 😂
what is the vertical saw?
What was the countersink drill bit that you was using? Festool?
It’s a nice job, but what about the distribution of weight in the van after all seems to be a bit too much weight for one side making driving a bit hazardous
Cheers bud, its not too bad, i keep the heaviest boxes lower as they are easier to lift in and out. I plan to add a small rack the other side for some trolley wheels and workbench mft style worktop. Plus the driver is rhs!
Hi. What size countersink with stop did you use there? 3.5 or 5mm? Which would yous recommend? I think the smaller one.thanks in advance. Also ehst scribing tool fid you use there please?
I have the 5mm ones as mainly use 4-5 mm screws in general stuff. Its veritas one
Watching this again as just about to finish my racking for larger items and rails etc. Did the side door entry for all my l-boxx and a small parts rack to the side. I am pretty IT savvy but have really struggled in getting the hang of sketch up. So I am just going to steal some of your ideas and mix with my own. I need to persevere with sketch up though. It's vital I learn it if I am to expand my business and profitability.
I want to do my van out like that, but I would be tempted to leave everything in it rather than having to drag it all indoors each day because of scumbags out there
Make some steel lockable fronts for it maybe
Were is this company located
Are those pouches on your pants a part of the pants or are they another brand?
Do you stick to one brand of screw? Is it worth paying extra for Spax?
Im using Wurth at the minute, but i think spax are slightly better. Gold has better corrosion resistance bit i prefer silver screws.
Hope you don’t leave them in van overnight
Did you get a ryobi???😂😂
The Ryobi is class! I have 2! 😀
The amount of times, Ive hit my shins on those rear steps 🤬
Will help your knees in later life though... 🙌👍
What make is the rear step..
amzn.to/3sP95D1 it's this one
Must drive like a 80yr old 😂
Haha, nooo this gear doesn't move on the carpet. It's uncanny
👊🫡
Thanks Bud!
