This is one of the coolest builds I’ve seen on youtube Steve and I have to say this! Built not bought! Because you’re doing something outrageous but super badass. This is awesome!
If it’s a dummy axel why not put 4 or 5 of them no engineering needed just get rid of diffs and attach them with zip ties and broom sticks.
Can’t wait to see this thing pass inspection haha 😂
Sovereign Garage in Australia you would need an engineers certificate for the work done so that it legal to register and drive on public roads. I assume that would be similar in the US....apart from maybe Florida
Twah72 Nope, as long as its together and not a hazard to be on the road, itll pass. I know PA is a little more strict then where im at but he should be fine.
@@twah72 think only certain parts of the us. In my state we dont have to do inspections other than deq for emissions.
Thanks fellas
@@twah72 shop I've gone to for my inspection just checks that all your lights and horn work and that you're not driving on bald tires anything else they don't care about.
Allost at 100k.....cleetus got to 2 million today, be cool if you could hit your milestone today too!
Only 152 more to go 🙏🤞🏻
SendIt Steve lol u will make fake accounts 😎 clocking in boys
Cletus bought a racetrack and working on that multiple race cars. Sendit Steve is working out of his backyard. props to Sendit Steve. keep going buddy
I remember your video were you talking about how you had x amount of subscribers working with $X amount of cash flow and other CZcamsr having XXX amount of subscribers and working with $$$X amount of money and in order for them to keep their XXX amount of subscribers they had to keep up the $$$X amount of spending on cars .
@@joeguggenberger7137 you're right Cletus bought a race track, but I just did Lee making comment to the Milestone is all. Not comparing the two channels that all. But I could only imagine the crazy stuff that @senditsteve would do if he had 2 million subscribers
Use 2 beds and make a bed don’t do a flatbed and avoid all that other work it will stand out a lot more if you put a bed on it
Instead of a flatbed get another Civic and bolt it on to the back of the truck it would turn more heads than any vehicle on the road and people could ride back there, it would technically be a six door truck🤣🤣🤣
Shouldn’t the truck be on stands and level before u pull measurements on your suspension? Just feel like ur measurements will be off because ur driveway isn’t level and the suspension is flexing to keep tires on ground ? Just a thought
You are correct. And his plumb bob will give him a false center if it isn't 100% level
Steve I don't blame you for blocking hate I think it's your truck and you do what ever you want and the only thing haters are is keyboard warriors
on your build if your going to put larger tires on check your spacing for the second axle so you don't run into problems later
I vote you get another bed and splice the two together
Congratulations Mr Freeman. You did it. I'm proud of you.
TheStradman pays 100k for his 6x6 and he doing free 😂😂😂in this back yard
I just seen his 6x6 video last night. Hopefully we can get them together when they are done and compare 😂
SendIt Steve that would sick actually I’m you I’m excited see how this Goes see you don’t have to spend 100k to do that stuff just do it in your back yard like Steve 😭😭😂😎
This thing is wild! I dont get why besides "because you can" but this is America Damn it! All great things come from guys like you that say "because I can!" I cant wait to see this monster done!!!
🤘🏼🇺🇸
On this episode of send it steve, watch steve start another project he will never finish
What's the point of putting the 3rd axle in it if its not going to be powered
Garrett Monk for poops and giggles.
So he can have an extra 4 wheels and tires lol
In time it will be a powered true 6x6
Lol did you take the truck of marketplace at least
Garret monk I don’t think he’s thought that far ahead lol
kinda sad your not making the rear axle a drive axle..... a lot less work tho im sure
Give it time. Let me get the bugs worked out and extended frame in place
Not gonna lie, doing this exact thing has been a dream of mine since I was a kid. Whether it be powered or not doesn’t matter. Full on mini rig. I support this 1000%. It’s awesome to see someone doing what I’m not able to do. Keep it up!
I was not liking this idea, but since the rear axle is going to be just a floater it will be much easier.... what if you make a fake short driveshaft and weld up a fake yoke on the back of the front axle and connect them to look like it’s a 6x6 lol
This project sounds cool and seems like a lot of work but I hope it succeeds
Flat bed F-450 on 40’s is gonna be so badass man. You should match up all the beef with some Road Armor bumpers
I'm glad you stuck with CZcams man, gotta be honest when the channel started I wasn't a huge fan an I didnt think it would be around long or take off but here I am still watching your videos an here you are almost 100K subscribers! Congratulations from a hater turned fan!!!
That honestly mean a lot hearing that. Thank you for giving it a second chance! Much respect🙏
I have a suggestion on how you can keep your 8” space between your wheels. If you would build a two link with a panhard bar to keep it straight. You would be able to set the spacing and use them for your airbag mounts since it’s not going to be a drive axle.
Are you 100% sure the truck is sitting level? Cos if it’s not your plumb bob is going give you a false centre
Might be a good projct to work on in a dead level slab of concrete
To center the axle, you could bolt a lenth of angle iron to a couple wheel studs on both axles.
STOKED FOR THIS BUILD!
Can’t wait to see the next video !
Thanks for the entertainment buddy.
I'm just surprised how much you've got done in just 2 videos. Normally it seems like you just drag things out real slowly just to make more videos. I'm going to miss videos of your other projects, but i'm actually excited about this build and it's gonna be driving in 2 weeks and done in a month, so that's not too bad. I can't wait to see this complete! I'd rather see you make a truck bed out of both of the beds you already have, instead of a flatbed conversion. It would really take the truck to a whole new level.
NGL, I was skeptical at first, but this build is so badass! And the fact that you're using everyday tools in your own driveway to do it is why I subbed.
I want to show the world you can do anything you set your mind too!
For the rear suspension, i would use 3500 lb trailer springs and a equalizer. That'll give you 14k of rear axle weight while keeping weight on each wheel even over bumps.
Hey Steve, my personal opinion is that I think that you would have a much easier time with this conversion if you use link bars in place of the leaf springs and some heavy duty coil springs.
Although your plan may work there are limitations to where you can position the axle and spring mounts on the original chassis.
Car hauler bed it and this means the 450 stays that's great news Steve glad to hear that it's the life of the channel
People don't realize exactly how much work you put into this project.
Facts days
Why wasnt it finished?
In the states this would probably lower the legal load limit as you are only legal to the GVWR of the truck so the added weight would lower the weight you can load on the truck without exceeding the GVWR. But I’m thinking most of these conversions are done solely for looks.
Dude the truck is already fuckin massive. Also 4ft is still long as hell
Yes oh Yes 100,000 subscribers congrats SendIt you earned it’ll Thanks
95% of his subs are because of Mike Hysong.
She is looking real good. Please be safe out their because I have not forgot about the other truck just about falling on you.
99.9k subs come on guys let’s get Steve 100k
A couple things I see that is being your driving with the front axle if you get into a sticky situation and you drop air if your pulling a heavy bumper pull your going to have alot of leverage on the rear end of the truck counter acting the front so your 4x4 is going to suffer but my other concern is how far inboard you have your rear axle springs axels if you look at almost any the springs are mounted basically as close to the tire as possible this is because that is the strongest set up possible the farther in you go the more you are prone to axle failure you may want to truss that rear axle to take that issue out of the picture just a couple thoughts good luck and be safe
While the bed is off you should re-wrap the cab corners so theres no tan-ish silver color showing.
Without that being on a complete level surface with the whole truck you are really rolling the dice .
That’s why I didn’t do welding yet. Stay tuned
This is going to be a great build Steve ! I can't wait to see the end result.
I hope you put the truck on flat garage floor be for you start this Steve.
No gonna lie at first this looked like a ridiculous idea! But now that it’s well under way and you’ve explained it fully, I’m really excited to see the finished product. Flat deck with stacks is gonna look badass!
I can’t wait to see how it’s gonna turn out when it’s down I bet it’s gonna look bad ass
You have not mentioned what ur using for the other 2 doors on your 6 door conversion. You showed us an extra bed but now ur saying it will likely be a flat bed, I have a great idea for the 2 doors. Strap a couple of porta potties to the back of the cab. Reverse hinge the one on the drivers side so the shitters have suicide doors.
Most under rated channel on CZcams!!
Appreciate that bud
Keep truckin on that truck can't wait to see it done
Just found this last night and see based on newer videos you changed your mind. I was wondering what happened.
Was it a just a personal decision or some sort of technical or legal issue?
I'm doing a 1967 C40 personal project and was wondering. Thank you.
BTW I grew up about 30 miles East of Pittsburgh.
I saw a picture of one of these trucks and someone added an axel kind of the this but took what looked like an extended stock bed and put custom flairs on it. I saw another picture of the same truck and it was a dump bed. Now that would be cool to see here.
I can’t wait to see the final product you are the man
I love that harbor fright welder.. On the gm half tons, the rails are about half that 450. they have come a long way. not even heavy to lug around in the dirt.
Really cool build! I know it would be a pain but I would really like to see a full 6x6 layout like a semi truck, I know it isn’t as simple as adding another driveshaft but it would elongate this series!
Once everything is functional we will find the correct gear ratio and go full on 6x6 (before winter)
SendIt Steve i like that idea! I love watching builds on CZcams channels and when i found your channel 2-3 years ago i have wasn't disappointed! Keep the amazing videos up!
so excited for the build and so close to a 100,000 subs
Get a set of 2 and 1/2 ton Rockwell so you can actually bolt the drive shafts up
U should make it powered off a hydraulic drive motor that runs on a pto and pump off transmission! Wouldn’t be that hard and it would help in bad road conditions!
Steve, awesome build super excited I think this build will bring a lot of people to your channel if done right. I think you should go all out and make it a powered rear axel off the bat. I’m sure people would love to see how that is done
So you're going to tow around 4 more tires for no reason For life
it's just like whistle n diesel shock and ah to get over 100k for more money
MOMIK S-YAN heel probably sell it
Yes for life. He is physically unable to have more than 1 vehicle. He can only drive one.
@@chickensfloat7427 1 truck for life, everybody knows the rules.
@@markpeckham23 Yeah cause making extra money is evil
You got to make the extra axle a drive axle. Otherwise it’s kinda pointless
That colour scheme is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I enjoy it bc it’s your build it as your own bc you own it and it will be unique definitely need to do custom stacks
Steve I think instead of flat bed do square steel tubing and some steel grate on the top bottom and side and add hinges so that way if you need to load something thats akward you can lower the bed sides tomake life easy
Measuring off of the spring perch to the pig cover can't be very accurate can it? Is the area where the truck is perfectly level?
those are auto leveling rocks
@@markpeckham23 hmmmmmmm
I glad your keeping the F450 and building it into 6 wheel drive truck would be bad ass to drive around hopefully you could make it 6 wheel drive in the future
I think pb blaster works way better than wd-40...but wd-40 still helps
Can’t wait for the f450 to be done
This project is insane can’t wait till it’s done
Dude this is awesome. Really living up to your name. SEND IT! ✌️
Build it faster! I want to see it complete already! Good luck on the build man
It will be a lot cooler if you made it ten wheel drive
This looks like it’s gonna turn out great
I believe what you are doing is cool
Brooooo....I've never been so excited about a truck that wasn't mine..sooooo stoked Steve keep it going brother
I see nothing wrong with this build, if anything it will be a learning experiences.
Alright now Steve. This will be done in two weeks, we shall see.
Looking forward to seeing the finished project.
U really should add a divorced transfer case and make the rear axle actually be able to put power to the ground that really would put your build apart from others builds
True could maybe get a pass through setup made for it there are options and it would be way better if all tires are powered
Will the work have to be signed off by an engineer before it can be legally driven on the road? In Australia we would need an engineers certificate for the vehicle to be roadworthy and registered
Truing up or centering the next dually axle that is a project in its self. Going to watch video good luck i smashed like button. 😆 Nice content Send it Steve.
Hell yeah brother I can’t wait to see how it turns out! It’s gonna be awesome!!!
One of the best pick up builds already! Great idea!
Love the concept! Can see it now!
Mud tires Steve mud tires. Lol
No no 44 inch swampers 😎
He would have to have the wheels milled down.
Steve use the bed and put a sleeper right after the cab to make up the 4 feet
I like this build. It’s different and interesting. Good seeing how you do it too. Good to see how it performs and looks when it’s done
when you get the bigger matching tires on the back axle. the space between the axles will be alot smaller... loving it, hope you finish it..
Just remember to compensate for the thickness of that inner wheel once you take it off the outer wheel is gonna be inset that much.
That thing is going to be sick!!!!!!! So cool
So you’re just dragging around another axle and four more tires for no reason? 😂🤣🤦♂️ Do it right or don’t do it at all.
Exactly what I thought.
Yall got a lead on tandem axles with 60" bms-bms width? Didn't think so, triaxles and trash trucks do it all day long. Millions of them on the road every single day. And btw when rigs are going down the road they are 2wd. The other axle is not providing power, only weight distribution. Geez the negative comments are tough, what did you build today sir?
JPMtek what did I build today? We are pointing out that why do all the work just to have at the end of the day a extra axle welded on the back of your truck. I’m not saying it’s not going to be bad ass what I’m saying is why not do it the right way instead of wasting your time.
No you said do it right or not at all, do you think there is no end game plan to this build? It will be done right. It will be built correct. I have done many suspensions and my close friend asked for my input. The axle that is in the video is a "mock" axle so to say. There is alot that goes into building something like this. Not all of it is interesting enough to put on youtube. Yall have limited time and attention spans. Not throwing stones my brother. But do you really want to see every single aspect of every measurement that goes into a build like this? I dont think so, were not bolting a dozen wheel spacers onto an axle... yea that might have bee a stone on my part.... but come on man, let the negative comments go, it cost you nothing at all to post a comment or it cost you nothing at all to just keep your comment to yourself also... steve wouldn't be doing this if he didn't have the support of friends and people who have done this type of thing before. I only ask that when it's a successful build you admit and eat crow if your only gonna be negative sir. Can we make that friendly pact???
It’s not going to be part of the drive train and he doesn’t need it for weight distribution so Let’s face it, the only reason this is being done is for content, which I can appreciate and will enjoy watching.
Damn hustling hard and coming out with some crazy stuff and you finally hit 100k!been watching it slowly climb all week, just clicked and saw 100k!! I think your nuts for trying this but if it works it’s gonna be awesome
I hope it works out the way you want it
Gonna be a beautiful build
Can't wait to see it done
This is awesome!
Would look gnarly with a camper body mounted instead of a bed.
Looking forward to following this build for sure.
Keep it coming
It would be cool if your could get another Dana s110 to match the original diff!! Just a suggestion! Can’t wait till it’s done!! 🙌🏼
Would love to see you make it true 6 wheel drive or even make it so you could have some sort of power generation going on from the back axle since it's just a extra but true 6x6 would be amazing
If not a passthrough axle be cool to make it a hybrid electric rear drive
Why don’t you mount one of the dually wheel on each side of the new axle? Just to make it easier to work
This truck would look awesome with a flat bed! This would be way cooler if both axles worked!
dude u should try hard and make it 6x6, thatd be so cool, and u should try and find a rear axle that's the same as the one in ur truck already
I remember some early 90s Dodge trucks have a big Dana 80 with a pto sticking out of the back of them , that would be an option to send power to the back one
I don't think that would work the pto would need to have the same rpm as the main driveshaft
It's going to look killer.
RIP Fred
The send it steve I know would have eye balled it tack booger welded it and been on the road .... you have changed man... 😔🙄
