  • My fiddle leaf fig is swallowing my living room and in need o it's first haircut. It's nine feet tall and not in the tree-like shape I'd prefer. So a trim is in order and it's easy to do. Even better, I'll get more plants to share with other fiddle fans!
I'm a big fan of Oregon's Only organic fertilizers. (I'm not on their payroll, just a big fan of their effectiveness.) For many years, I've used Nectar for the Gods Medusa's Magic and Demeter's Destiny Liquid Calcium in combination with great results. Here are the links to these as well as the rooting hormone I mention in the video...

Hi there! My name is Heather and I garden in zone 5b, recently changed to 6a, in the southwest suburbs of Chicago on a small residential lot. My garden lives a whole lot larger than it is and I love sharing tips and tricks, as well as plenty of mistakes, with others who love to play in the dirt.
If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up and if you'd like to see more garden content from a DIY gardener, click the bell to subscribe. That way, you'll never miss a post.
As always, thanks for your support and I'll see you in the garden!
