The UNKNOWN Planet Hiding Behind the Sun | Antichthon

  • Is there a planet hiding on the other side of the sun? directly behind our star? For centuries astronomers have been on the hunt for new giant worlds lurking in the shadows of the solar system. Such as the hypothetical Vulcan, the elusive Planet Nine and Pheaton the missing planet said to exist between Mars and Jupiter. But what about in a region that we cannot see from Earth? The opposite side of the Sun? Could there be an unknown planet there? This is the fascinating theory of the Antichthon planet.

This reminds me of the classic SciFi film 'Journey to the far side of the Sun' - 1969, where another Earth is found orbiting the Sun exactly oposite side of the Sun, and an Astronaut is sent to this second Earth, but, he finds it is a carbon copy of our Earth but, everything is reversed (writing, wiring (positive & negative) etc etc). It's a GOOD film! 🤔😏👍

No, there is nothing of planet or minor planet size there. Nothing, that could cause measurable disturbances in Venus's or Mars' orbit. Having even somewhat smaller rock there is unlikely as L3 is not so stable and Earths own orbit hasn't been stable either since its formation. So there is no plausible mechanism, how something could have been ended up there and remained there.

That is not a theory. It’s a hypothesis that has been disproven.
    1. we have spacecraft far away from Earth that can see the region that is blocked from our view.
    2. long before that, we did the math, and found that two planets cannot share the same orbit: this is an unstable system and one of the planets would quickly be ejected from the system.

@@Hobbes746- hey! I am in full agreement with your comment (in fact your second point is why Pluto was demoted), however - James Webb might be uncovering (for the first time) proof that planets may be able to share the same orbit, thus rendering the prerequisite of “clearing an orbit” (again, why Pluto was demoted) to be considered for a planet somewhat less objective but only time will tell!

It is possible for a hidden planet to exist behind the sun.
Would have to be in geosynchronous orbit relative to the sun and the Earth.
I wonder if that is the planet X that ancients referred to?

I thought we parked stationary satellites and cameras on the back side of the sun during one of our orbits around it years ago. We pay for it, but we don't get to see the pictures.

Summary: is there a planet hiding on the other side of the sun? No.

Well you would think that someone would have already had a picture taken of the backside of the moon wouldn’t you? I mean of the many mysterious we have this one would have been solved by now

I'm sure one of our satellites that took off to the other planets would have caught that one in its site at some point

If it's any planet, it's gotta be Nibru and would make sense why the weather changes violent when this planet moves next to earth 🤔

How do we know? We can see the sky and do the math.
But what if all the planets in a given system had counter-weights?

There isn't an other side, the orbits all follow the sun. It's like an electron cloud vs the bohrs model

I'm pretty sure we've had space probes do flybys of the Sun. So I'm pretty sure if there was a planet there, we'd already have long known about it.

don't even need space probes, it can be measured from gravity and orbital patterns. This has been done as early as the 19th century, when the existence of Neptune was predicted due to irregularities in the orbit of Uranus, and it proved to be correct not too long after.

Some of the greatest mathematical minds have calculated a perturbation on all the known planets...something very large w a magnetic field that is strong enough to affect other celestial bodies.
