Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. For the first time, experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Now you can take control of the action and be at the center of your own adventure in the wizarding world. Your legacy is what you make of it.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled for release on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The Deluxe and Collector's Editions will launch with 72 hours of early access to the game on February 7, 2023.
The PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch on April 4, 2023. Hogwarts Legacy is also confirmed for the Nintendo Switch with a release date of July 25, 2023.

Got mine downloading now. I'm happy to be able to play it in less than an hour. I want an Xbox series x but I'm not spending 600 on a game system. So much more things I can do with my money. But some people have that laying around so no disrespect to y'all. I just don't have it laying around. But finally I get to play it

Very happy and excited for everyone playing this game on previous generation consoles now it’s finally being released on it. It’s a great game.
My advice? Take your time with exploration because once it’s done, it’s done. You’d have to create a new save with a new player in a new house. But it’s worth it because there is a mission that is specific to the houses that if you play it with each house, you get an entire story that’s very interesting.
Tip: Go Hufflepuff first. Trust me. Everything makes much more sense that way. Enjoy last genners 😊

@@RetroRaconteur like you said. So many people will want to jump into the exploration immediately. But if they do that, they’ll be finished quicker than they really want to be.
And miss brilliant Easter eggs like the Werewolf Saga Tapestries which still floors me that they actually included it in the game. I mean I call it an Easter egg because for me, it directly relates to Remus Lupin.
Stuff like that can be easily missed when you just go out into the open world and explore immediately. And another thing you mentioned is the various different things that happen based on the time of day it is. Again - also easily missed if explore too early and quickly and don’t take your time.

Another thing about potions and herbology is that you can grow them outside the room, you get 1 free pot in herbology classroom, and 1 free potions station in the classroom. I farmer mallowsweet in herbology classroom early on.

I preorder Hogwarts Legacy of ps4 and just 100 it last night. Planning on getting the platinum trophy. I was an amazing game. I could feel the passion the devs had. Hogwarts was fun to explore and the town were cool as well. I loved the combat, with my favorite combo of spells being confringo, Diffindo, Glacius, Accio or Descendo. I used my wizarding world account and I basically made me. A loyal Hufflepuff who is particularly good with charms, defensive magic, and magical beast.
Somethings i wish that were in the game: obviously Quidditch(i know the reason, hope they add it in), wish had more choices and consequences, i wish we could have become an animagus and have Natty be the one to help us, and more house specific quest.
I can't wait to try the other house for fun. I'm thinking i might make an female Ravenclaw that is obsessed with knowledge that it leads her to a darker path.

I am so exited! Got my first ever console, because of HL. Thank you so much for the tips I am a complete beginner in video games and as you suggested will start it on story mode 😂. Hopefully I will be good enough to level up on the 2nd play trough. I am sure my boyfriend will have a lot of fun with me trying to figure out the controller. Wish me luck and keep up the great work!

I learned potions are so handy. Maxima potions and focus potions are OP. Health regeneration with cursed enemies are great, you kill them you gain health back. Finish merlin trials and ancient magic for maximum slots for the final boss. Ultra helpful

If you want to be able to auto solve alohamora you have to be in story mode. I have terrible arthritis and CANNOT do the unbelievably irritating and unecessary lockpick part of it without considerable PAIN. Just tossing that out there for those of you like me who's hands have been gaming since the first Atari came out. I wish they would just get rid of it and make the spell work like....well....MAGIC. Still fun though, but there you have it. I would enjoy more difficult combat but that locking thing is just inaccessible to me and not worth it.
Great video, how many hours into the game would you encourage to go exploring everything? I am currently about 16hrs in and have not long unlocked the broom I love it but don’t know if it’s wise to go travelling all over the map yet because it takes quite some time to even on a broom. Am I overthinking this or is it wise to gain as much spells and knowledge as I can before I branch out into the world and explore the entirety of it?

I did game journalist mode for my 2nd playthrough for easily looking for the collectibles. First playthrough was hard.
Yeah if you like a challenge, hard is definitely the way to go, imo.
There is a very good reason to play on game journalist mode, it lets you skip alohamora mini game

I finally got this on PS4 last Friday and I love this game. I’ve been playing games since the mid 80’’s. Hogwarts has to be one of my favourite games. So much fun.

I never finished my first play through but I got back around to the game and have been having fun. I love the Sebastian sallow storyline so far(no spoilers pls) and have enjoyed the rest of the story as well

is anyone else's XBOX One version totally jacked? at 1st it was just the flying, laggy so much so the broom challenges are basically impossible for me. Eventually something broke w/ the character renders, the colors and textures are all off. I expected things like a lag when entering or leaving rooms but not this.
That PlayStation exclusive quest will actually go to the other consoles on Feb 11th 2024 I think we'll it is sometime on Feb 2024
In general i just suck at video games so i'll be sticking with story mode for a while.

Why is there a limit to how many wiggenwield potions one can carry? It's just annoying, isn't it?
Honestly, it was never a problem for me. Maybe it ends up being one on the harder difficulties but once you unlock the room of requirement, they’re easy to craft.
If i bought delux edition for xbox sx can i play with same acc on xbox one x?
If it's the digital deluxe, I believe you can.
i wondered that for myself cause i play ps4 bought i plan on getting a ps5 and far as i can tell as long as its a digital version you can use the account on 2 consoles, same with disc but its more complicated

I know I had the game since launch but I'd just like to add my 2 cents
camera/ Hud : The start targeting was a major pain for me even in the middle having to fiddle around with options was a nightmare kept selecting the wrong target...also had enemy AI off because I wanted a challenge...now I keep it on so I know when their at low/lowest health so I don't accidentally finish them off...did that so many times
Exploration: I technically didn't explore unless you call unlocking floo flames exploration... honestly did this because getting a broom took to long...exploration is okay but more content such as new spells, Spell tombs ( like the old games) & new AM powers along with potions & other unique items would go a really long way to make this far far less tedious
Gear & cosmetics: transmog is great but the gear is awful & the line " to the give the player more incentive to explore" incentive to explore what? when dungeons are baron & loot is very very pitiful...most you can hope for is clothing you've never had, gold or Wiggenweld ( keeping in mind you can only have 25 WW at most in your inventory)
Managing gear slots: I hated this...the fact we have no chests to store anything & have to repeatedly go back to Hogsmeade/other vendors to sell is such a chore. Having limited gear slots even being in this game....its the magical world why is limitation even a thing!!!!!
Challenges: While I did like some... there's entirely far to many merlin trials
in terms of the other challenges I liked being able to defeat dark witches & wizards/infamous foes & duelling feats (still have problems with the feats does not register what I've completed)
Field guide: I over levelled with the field guide haven't collect many pages since
Health Regen: It's very useful though its annoying when the game does not register my inputs making me waste 5 WW
Arithmancy puzzles: Haven't done one of these puzzles yet 😅
spells: Love the spells though more is needed to make proper builds. Do love the combos & UFG'S. I made a Poacher executioner take out another PE by rolling away from the fire column AOE his buddy was still in the spot burning him "You'll pay for that" Not my fault your buddy was standing next to me.

The game sucks. They put all them state of the art graphics and voices and characters, just to have lackluster combat, minimal spells, and 3 enemies 😂
