- Riding this £250 Amazon fat bike until it snaps - Face plant! I push the limits of this crazy folding full suspension bike and it snapped but not before I shred the bike park hitting jumps and MTB trails! Would you ride this?
I bought this ridiculous looking fat bike on Amazon for £250 so I could push it to the limits and see how long it would last while throwing proper mountain bike style features at it such as berms, jumps and full speed sections at the infamous Chicksands Bike Park! This strange bike has dual suspension and a folding mechanism in the middle to really add to the charm of this MTB. We start the video off by riding a nice flow trails that runs around the side of the bike park before moving quickly into the dirt jumps where things start to take a turn for the worst. After bending the forks I carry on hitting trails and features in the woods, even a stair set of doom that runs above the dual slalom track and finish off with some wheelies and jibs. But how long will the forks stay together?

I think the front brake cable potentially saved you from quite a nasty chest or face injury as it pulled the forks back down. Very lucky!

Really? I think the brake cable may have caused him more damage, because they kept everything in the path he was failing. Maybe if the brake cable broke everything would have moved out of his path and he could have braced for impact more effectively.

I've loved all the cheap bike sends you've done, but I think you found the limit where willfully putting yourself in danger stops being a fun thrill and becomes an uncomfortable watch instead. But I still think this video is a huge service to the public. Mandatory viewing for all parents who cheap out when buying bikes for their kids.

As a father of 2 kids i fully agree. What pisses me off the most is, that cheap crapy bikes are not that cheap pricewise. But 80% of the price of kids bikes are the licence costs for the frozen livery… my son rides an Earlyrider 😉

its good it doesn't fold multiple times, otherwise you'd probably need ford raptor to carry it around.

For sure they are. Injured is when you need medical attention. Hurt is just when you fall off your bike and it sucks. Injured is so death.

I like the variable head tube angle tech in this bike. This bike can be your trail and downhill rig at the same time.
That's a great deal!! 2 hours of good fun and a set of spare tires, seat and grips to top it off!!
I expected Sam to buy 5 more just to pick up all this value.
It's only logical to believe this one must have been made on a Monday morning by a hung-over employee.

Agreed with others on this being a good spot to stop with the dirt cheap bikes, after a point you already know what's gonna happen. That said now I'm wanting to see what you can do with a better quality fat bike, that thing looked like a lot of fun for the first five minutes!

But it isn’t designed to do any of the stuff he’s doing in the video. It’s designed for small kids to ride around on smooth roads and pavements. Occasionally they might ride off a kerbside. It can do that just fine because that’s what it’s for
So why is it a surprise to anyone? We know they’re made cheaply but they aren’t made for this kind of stuff in the first place

@@jhuc2869 all cheap bikes are a POS. But even entry level MTB’s which cost a few hundred, and even middle of the range ones have cheap ass forks fitted to them with stickers on them telling you they aren’t designed for jumping or off-road use
The companies aren’t responsible for looking after idiots. That’s why we have warning labels on shampoo bottles telling you not to put it in your eyes, because some people are stupid enough to do that

12:10 dude, you literally near missed death there. Fork's tube was coming towards your neck and the brake cable came in last second with the save, pulling it down and away from your faceplant.
I really enjoy your videos Sam! You’re the only rider I watch that actually makes me laugh out loud by myself lol! I was so worried that fork was going to impale you when it snapped because of the way it kinda popped back up as you were falling. So glad you didn’t get seriously injured. My vote is to no more Amazon junk!
I Never knew what front fork failure would look like. now I do. Super scary, the bit attached to the wheel could have punctured your face. not sure even a motorcycle helmet would have stopped that. Kudos to you man. It's a great learning experience. No CCS for me.
No proper fork will do that, also just stop riding when you notice it getting that bent
I used to ride a cheap bmx that probably came from wal mart. One day I was doing wheelies like crazy, as usual, and the front tire just rolled away mid-wheelie. Entire fork broke off from where it entered the frame.
Seen just that on an episode of helicopter medics , guys front forks snapped he was in a right mess .
reminds me of when i found the limit of my old racing cicle.. it was pretty ancient by the time i bought it from my uncle.. and a couple years later just after i got maintenance whilst traveling over a speed bump the seating pin broke of, flew into my back wheel somehow and made me do a flip to the ground. it bended the entire frame.
This is so predictable but Sam is still doing it 😂😂😂😂, keep it going with this series of cheap bike testing. More protective gears would be great.

Part of me feels bad for laughing, but the other part of me laughed really really really hard. When the fork, handlebars, and frame became three separate pieces I almost died. Fat bikes are for sand or snow and Ali Clarkson gave a masterclass on one. Others are just Uber Eats and Gorillaz, without an E motor most couldnt really ride one.

I like the cheap bike challenges… that thing might be a bit too cheap! I like mod’ing cheap bikes and see how far you can go with them (safely).
I'm actually surprised that the forks failed before the frame. I don't think I'd even want to ride this bike on the road, never mind the trails.
Heh I actually have a similar bike (probably the same factory just painted a different colour with different brand decals), without the fat tires. I bought it used as I wanted a budget foldable with larger wheels. It’s actually a pretty decent bike for commuting and leisure rides as I live in a city with uneven roads here and there, so the suspension makes the ride a little nicer. I know some people who have ridden it for a few years without issues. But I’m definitely never taking this on trails.
I am with others who have stated that Sam needs to do a vid with a quality fat bike...........That would be EPIC!
your video on cheapest mountain bike was an eye opener. mine was $300 back in 2003-2005 inter cycle cr-mo300 series. dont think mine would survive a proper MTB course but city bike lanes are rather in its limits. this active variable geometry bike frame on the amazon bike is scary...

Great video as always! Mmmm I think the lesson here ladies and gentlemen, is if you have a limited budget, you're better off buying an old trusted brand name bike, even if years old. I was think things may loosen up, & bend - But not actually snap clean in half in such a dangerous manner!

When the forks let go i went "thats gonna hurt", then chuckled at the action replays knowing your gonna heal ok and werent seriously injured. Knowing it was a cheap amazon bike I kept saying "this is gonna kill it" when you did each of the tricks on it, only for a little bunny hop to finally kill it.
