- In this clip: Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.
About this clip: Carrie exhorts Miranda to not leave after Big, Stanford and Samantha make a quick escape from their lives. Charlotte expresses surprise over Miranda's burgeoning sexual chemistry with Che and questions her sexuality, underscoring the need for people to not change that suggests that she still has mixed feelings about Rose's transition. Overall, the scene touches upon the theme of transition and human response to ever-fleeting relationships. - Zábava
Tbh this was the only scene out of this whole show that truly felt like SATC
This scene is so realistic to me. In my life, I have seen the longest most passionate friendships end in an instant. I have seen my straightest friend turn bisexual in just a few years. People who never experienced this in their lives will never be able to relate.
PLEASE people move on and in REAL LIFE TOO
YESSSS!!! and samantha was missing, she would have been the natural mediator between miranda and charlotte, not carrie.
It really was! Carrie pointing and saying "not helpful" took me right back to the original series 😂
@@naomidixon4640 same aahahahaa!!!
I'm so Team Charlotte on this. She is correct, Miranda is having an affair.
And a midlife crises.
Fr
Yep! I’m in. Charlotte’s acting was spot on too.
Go Charlotte 👍
Not to mention Miranda seriously is a hypocrite considering how she treated Steve when he had one slip up because she was being frigid. Now she feels her infidelity is justifiable. I hate this new Miranda.
I love how Charlotte completely called out Miranda on her bs. So well deserved.
would have been even better if after Charlotte called Miranda out if she slipped a sarcastic lawyer joke in there with it truth
"No, Big dying is something" Again, Carrie always bringing things back to herself.
Agreed. That line was so self centered. And in the beginning she makes it about herself when Miranda talks about masturbation.
Oh yes, God forbid it wouldn't be about her for a single second. She's the the poster girl for narcissism
And cheating on your husband with another confused woman is definitely "something" as well.
“You are not progressive enough for this” is LITERALLY THE BEST LINE EVEE
funny enough, this is my review for the whole show.
Charlotte: "THEM?! There are others?"
Oh dear, this line gets me hard and bad! Killing it!
🤣🤣 same
I got my 12 year old explaining this to me 🥴 … I am 39 and don’t get it 🤦🏻♀️
@@kasun1752 You don't get it because it makes no sense. They= a plural form. One individual isn't multiple people.
I wish they kept it as Charlotte exclaimed. Having Carrie explain it took away the rightful confusion as well as the humor.
Is Carrie wearing mourning attire? That suit is the most "normal" thing she has worn in years.
Why everyone acts like Charlotte is the crazy one? She is the only who makes sense in this scene
The world in a nutshell.
Who is everyone? Charlotte is right
Frankly, I loved it when Charlotte said, and I'm paraphrasing: If you're having a mid-life crisis, don't have an affair - - Color your hair!" Seriously, Miranda ... COLOR YOUR HAIR!!!
She ended up doing BOTH. Colored her hair to pursue the affair.
I've let me hair go a beautiful white and gray and get more compliments than I ever got when coloring it. I agree with Carrie. The comment was not helpful.
@@lgamble Cynthia definitely looks better with the red hair
@@lgamble It may not have been useful to you, but have you ever considered that some people do not look good.with grey hair?
I like her better with the red too
"A finger made you feel alive?" said Charlotte. I could not stop laughing!!!!!
The whole scene is 😆
I love Charlotte here, she’s so real.
lol 😂
It isn’t funny at all LOLZ what…the entire scene is just cringe
She 2 old 2 storm out of the fight cause her leg fell asleep 😆
I nearly choked when Charlotte said: "A finger made you happy?!" 🤣🤣🤣
Why do people not bother to listen to lines properly then quote them? 🤣
*feel alive
It. Was. An. Affair. Period. They can try and make it out to be that Miranda is discovering who she is, but she had an affair. Point. Blank.
samantha living her best life whilst this happens !!
Also gone in a second: good writing, plot and character consistency, and original faces.
This was probably the only real moment in the whole series - we need more writing like this in this next series
This scene is a straight rip off of a scene in the series except they swapped the characters. Samantha and the world wide express guy. (mixed in with another scene about judging)
There is absolutely no way that Charlotte was having fantasies about Che. They could never be Charlotte’s type.
It was a dream not a fantasy, our dreams sometimes aren't based on who we actually like plus I feel Charlotte just wanted to be supportive of her friend sharing
True.. This was messed up. What were the writers thinking?
@@user-ri4bq6kv5i yeah but she told it freely she wasn't surprise of her dream it was more a "yeah me tooooo I dreamed about Chez!!!" as if she enjoyed the dream. And that is not something Charlotte would say openly ....the writers are messing up with the essence of the characters also the whole non binary conversation is not realistic we could agree that there are 50/60 year olds are starting to be tolerant, accepting and even thankful towards labels but that they know the exactly right pronouns and use it when they talk with each other. Come one that is not happening
I think Charlotte was just tryna be cool.
Also, she doesn't even remember what the conversation is about.
'My leg is hurt, but I'm going to storm off. Help me storm off!' That's so Miranda 😂
What Miranda had was an affair, in basic terms. She was attracted to another person other than her significant other and acted upon it. Steve was unhappy, too, and the tryst "meant nothing" and he was sorry. Miranda doesn't seem sorry; she too is unhappy, but she wants it her way, just as before when she moved out. She's shallow and pathetic. And, that train wreck of an outfit does nothing for her; it is a public display of a confused individual.
THANK....YOU!!!!! FINALLY someone else who sees through Miranda's bullshit fugazi face!
I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not actually Miranda anymore. It’s Cynthia Nixon partially pretending to be “Miranda”.
It was an affair. We all saw the 1st movie. This is tumbling into total BS.
I agree with everything except for the outfit hate. I kinda like what she's wearing here lol.
@@blerksnarfgut2766 Nothing to hate about the outfit, its just a trainwreck. As if the audience couldn't figure out the character of Miranda is confused? Patricia Field would have chosen something completely different.

This scene is powerful. I lost my best friend too over some silly things. Sometimes we just disagree over tiny things and let our ego manage all our emotions. Sad.
2:04 😂 Charlotte is literally me during the entire Miranda/Che storyline
Im definitely the Carrie, the middle man, trying to keep the peace.
It seems like the actress had an influence on the character because of her real life experiences
“What is wrong with people just staying who they were? Some of us don’t have that luxury.”
Best line ever!!!
This is one of those classic scenes from Charlotte that makes me laugh. I love her reaction in this. The reality of friendships is these group shockers happen.
"oh..i wish this was real wine." 😭😭 AYO THIS SCENE IS TOO FUNNY BRO AND FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS
This why they need a fourth. Samantha would have understood Miranda and gave grace and time to figure things out. Charlotte wants all the answers and knowing you don't have them. Still asking for them
Samantha is also the least judgmental when it comes to sex.
Why would anyone want a friend that is ok with destroying their marriage.
I don't think Sam would have been judgmental
I agree! Sam would've brought balance and resolution to everyone sitting at the table. Including me. I get it that people change as we all grow older...I just have an issue with the past 20+years seeming as if they were unhappy. You watch Miranda proposing to Steve. Meeting on the bridge. His Mother. The moment she realized how much she loved him, after he pulled out the no. 1 candle. The birth of Brady. Never been happy?!
Yes, Charlotte's right. What have you been doing with your life, if even these moments you've spent with someone for a lifetime seem unhappy? What does make you happy? If Miranda doesn't know, I would be there for her, but even question my friendship with Miranda.
Miranda came with a set of principles & values. Those don't change. In context: if you cheat that's it, BUT she realized she was not perfect herself. She forgave Steve and herself. She invested a lot & saw it could be worked through.
Just cause Steve cheated, doesn't give Miranda an excuse to cheat on their marriage.
Things happen, but you can't trust the character of a person who doesn't find anything wrong with cheating.
She & Steve were grounded when they married. They had made a solid foundation.
Miranda is a lawyer and can argue this until the cows come home. Her defense is still weak. She has become weak. It's just sad.
@KerryMcSweeney they have always " in my opinion " seemed more like bff than a good couple. Both want different things. They just made their minds believe they was better with each other. When they both seem lost. " in my opinion "
“THEM? THERE ARE OTHERS?” 🤣🤣
This was probably the most real scene in the entire series.
"It was a finger!" And then my favorite line..."oh why cant this be real wine".
This show is a trainwreck of the original show and I couldn't stop watching it.
I’m just so sad that they went in this direction with Big dying and Samantha disappearing and Miranda cheating on Steve. I wish they would have just left it alone and not done this.
One of the few scenes I actually liked in this series. It felt for a second like we were actually watching the characters how we remember them
Some of us dont have that luxury. Love Carrie's commentary. Always. Beautiful scene.
"it isn't an affair, it was a finger!" really got me😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Now that's the thing about And Just Like That...these ladies are now older, as you get older, you change, you evolve. You can't stay the same that you were in your 20s or 30s or you emotionally and mentally stagnate. Things that I worried about or drove me crazy when I was in my 20s and 30s, I look back at now (now that in in my mid 50s) and think "What the Hell was I thinking?"
Do you ever remember the answer?
Amen.
Remember, evolution is a gradual thing. Tearing down and destroying is not evolving...it can lead to needed changes, but it's trauma in and if itself, which also needs to be addressed.
At last a sane comment.
I love that Cynthia Nixon is the only one who hasn’t done facial surgery. And she looks the best!
EXACTLY!!
Just rotten on the inside.
SJP hasn't had anything done either.
@@sarcasticallyrearranged That's for sure! 😒
She is gorgeous
"Them...there are others??" First laugh of my day!
Well, I'm on TeamCharlotte
carrie's one liner always be sassy, witty, and spot on everytime!!! shes's the funniest! 😂
Miranda is making a huge mistake. She's got a beautiful life. She has a husband who loves her so much and a child with him. Steve’s made mistakes and he paid for them, he owned up to them. Miranda gave him hell for it too. Now she’s acting like what she’s done is ok and feels no shame.
So it's better for her to stay when she's miserable and wants something else? How is that fair to her husband and child?
@@JasonQiuMusic So it is fair for her to do what she has done and feel no remorse? What example does she set for her child behaving this way? If she was unhappy, she should have talked to her husband. If they wanted a divorce, okay. But to betray your husband and try to act like it is justified is unacceptable. If you're miserable, you make changes, but there is always a better way to go about it. Is it always easy to do? No. But that is life and we have to do it. No one is special in that department.
It now it works. We are not all the same. You do you.
@@english484 Honey, take your massive double standard to the Millenia of men Who've done this like it was par for the course, and stop screaming at a woman who've been living truthful, self determined lives only for the last ten minutes of human society. Don't you have some Jordan Peterson book to read?
@@lizziebkennedy7505 nope. Pulling the victim card doesn't make it OK. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, but tit for tat through the generations keeps us all impoverished and stunted. Miranda behaving like this after tearing Steve to bits for cheating is hypocritical and hateful. Why does she have to mimic his past behavior? Why can't she just take him aside and say "this isn't working for me. I'm unhappy, let's try a separation." The Miranda Hobbes of the original series would have.
“A finger made you feel alive” makes me laugh out loud every.damn.time 🤣
And “Them? There are others?” Lmaooo
Gotta love Charlotte
I like how they made the picnic table cloth match Miranda's outfit. It foreshadowed that the topic of discussion/revelation was about Miranda lol
Oh god, someone thinks they're a film studies expert.
Off topic, why did they decide to put the worst wig on Cynthia? It makes her look so much older. Women in their 50s are not ancient, this show seems to think it is.
Well, first they made women in their 30's eternal teenagers, so I guess it makes sense to have the pendulum swing the other way in their 50's
There's something about this dialogue (and others in AJLT, in fact) that seems rather off: when together, it feels as if Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda were talking AT each other and not TO each other. Each one of them exposes her problem/fear/whatever with little to no feedback. It shows more on Carrie of course, but now it's also affecting Miranda and Charlotte.
Just my humble opinion
I noticed too. There is an agenda being pushed..in spite of how much the audience loved the show in the nineties. I am pleased that Kim Cattral bowed out of this re boot.
Nah, Carrie always whined and tried to get her way. In the old series, the others always called her out on it. Here, she is allowed to play "one up" because her husband died.Big's dead body is like a trump card.
Different team of writers.
Charlotte is that one friend that can be so pure, innocent, wholesome etc. But for me she is the most honest and brave. Rem when she confronted Carrie with Big? When she also confronted Carrie's money prob?
i love the message of this scene.
Miranda can dish it out but she can’t take it. Besides, these ladies are what, late 50’s? Why are they being portrayed as 75 yr olds? Miranda can’t get up? What is this, the golden girls?
My thoughts exactly. A boring unfunny horribly written golden girls.
When Carrie said people are gone…I know that to be true and in my own life it makes my heart hurt.
This scene was so precious! Their acting was amazing!
This series caricaturizes everything it is trying to stand for.
I know, i wasn't sure if they were making fun of woke culture or actually trying to be serious.
I think thats the point. Its satirical, slightly poking fun at how woke and PC everything has become, and how hard it is to keep up. Similar to The White Lotus.
Which is the funniest thing about this entire disaster 😅
Not only were Charlotte and Che only a dream and on a ferry, there was no finger involved.
😲😲😲
Sjp saying " why can't this be real wine"😂. This is the prettiest I have ever seen Miranda look on the show
"It was not an affair. It was a finger" omg that made me laugh out loud
I didn't watch AJLT bcuz there was no samantha but this scene makes me kinda like to watch it and also bcuz sam is making a cameo like i kinda wanna see the build up until the sweet cameo in august... ugh i hate that i have to wait 2 more months until i see my fave!
Miranda is really the 2nd funniest and lovable character in SATC
Look at who Miranda's core shaker turned out to be, Che's finger!!! Bravo 👏 you ruined Miranda..go on!
As much as I feel for Charlotte, people change. That's just a part of life.
And other people HATE it.
🤦🏻♀️ Yes, things change, but it doesn't need to be via a wrecking ball or nuclear explosion. If you need a change, why not start with honesty? "This isn't working for me anymore".
Some don’t, usually the toxic ones.
This whole show is ridiculous
@@lizziebkennedy7505 what's that got to do with cheating and minimising it?
Charlotte fantasizing bout Che was unnecessary
It’s funny how hard they wanna make us believe Che is hot, sexy, desirable person..
@@karfeelye9942 This! Che was gross/annoying and was a serious Shane wannabe from the L Word.
It was also unbelievable, you know damn well that Charlotte was in no way attracted to Che.
@@murph8837 because of you know Charlotte since SATC days, she has a habit to irrationally rationalize things
It was a crazy dream.
We’ve all had those that didn’t make any sense.
Love this scene. Carrie has gone through all of that life bullshit that she just "oh why cant this be real wine" 😂
Props to the writer finally giving carrie her redemption era 👏
I think this line was actually quite terrible... Saying that in front of an alcoholic is extremely insensitive. Plus, why do tv shows keep normalizing drinking as a coping mechanism (even if it's a joke)? I'm not a puritan, I know a lot of people do use drinking as a coping mechanism, but isn't it too much?
I love this show...so glad to see them back
I love steve and miranda 💔
All im getting here is 3 witches from a kids movie talking at their dinner table lol
You guys didn’t lose Samantha. You kicked her out. Be honest.
I actually really love this show!!!
"People are gone in a second" but this show takes decades to go away.
I love Carrie's lighthearted jokes
“Cheese” - that was the only funny thing in AJLT
THEM?!?! There are others?!?! LOL 😂
This was a great scene!
wow watching this back for a second time... this was a powerful scene
This is insane; she left out the part where Carrie pissed the bed. And Charlotte had the best lines. Miranda probably got dementia; she's over the top.
That's Cynthia not Miranda.
Yes, Miranda, we are judging you. And let's hope judgement is passed in season 2. 😂
“Them? There are others?” Cracks me up every time!
Charlotte has become the second best character in And Just Like That, Samantha is the best for being not present.
Them?!! There are others lmao i died 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
Loved SATC. Loved the movies. These ladies are so different from me. Love this too!
Why did Charlotte apologise? And Carrie siding with Miranda after she was disgusted with her behaviour too? Miranda was furious with Steve when he had an affair but now it's OK as Che is non-binary?! It's like the writers seem to think the viewers haven't seen SATC series and films..
This is a great scene.
This is a really powerful scene.
Charlotte is right. Miranda is trying to be progressive but instead is becoming retrogressive. Serious character flaw in how she did this to steve and tried to justify it when she knows it isnt who she really is and that she iced him out for doing the same in the 1st movie. also she was the most judgemental of the 4. so thats rich coming from her.
imagine not able yo dramatically walk away bc your foot fell asleep! 🤣
SJP has an amazing head of hair. It looks chic even in a plain bun.
SJP doesn’t have the face to pull off having her hair pulled back like that. Her best feature is her hair.
It severely ages her and accentuates her skeletal appearance.
She needs to cut it
@@carriemcclure7253 Idk, maybe a cut would work. But it seems to me if she had full hair around it would camouflage her gaunt face a little.
Just watched this scene. And it is amazing…. I always loved Sjp,s acting.. it gets me😅
I love this show
Dang they are trying to fill in the Samantha role 😂
This moment requires a very large piece of cheese and a full eight-ounce alcoholic glass of red wine.
Charlotte is spot on.
I would just be stuffing my face with all the delicious food on the table while this drama was happening...
Charlotte was the voice of reason here, which is funny considering how Miranda was always that person in SATC. And Carrie once again makes the conversation about herself. So self-centered and annoying!
"What is wrong with people staying who they were?" I'm not excusing Miranda cheating, but you converted to Judaism to marry Harry! No one stays who they were!
Changing religion isn't the same as changing personality.
Lauriston, changing your religion has to affect your personality.
No way it doesn’t!
Carrie is so different and serious
Her husband died.
Nah, it's still all about her. She uses Big's corpse like a trump card. You're an alcoholic? My husband died! I win! You're having an affair? I'm a widow! Me me me...pain is like love. There is no finite amount, and no one wins.
@@lenawagenfuehr53 Totally agree, she does, her latest news always makes a grand entrance... but in this case she’s right.

It was good that the script writers added that gem of wisdom.
Well she just lost the love of her life and a friendship with Smasntha that spanned decades.
Carrie being the sensible one was a nice change of pace
This movie saved my life!!!!!
Carrie saying "big dying is something" was beyond selfish, even for her.
