Also, please try to spare some time to meet aspiring pilots like me and many others who live there in Ontario.

    Hello. That’s a nice video. I’ve just finished my Commercial Multi IFR at Harv’s Air probably studying with one of your students now as an instructor at Harv’s Air. I’m at the point to find a job. I don’t want to do the Flight Instructor once my budget is not enough to do it right now. I hope I can find a job. I don’t mind to work at the ramp or doing operational jobs. I only want to be within aviation fuel smell. Thank you for the video.

    Glad to have found your channel, this video was very informative for someone considering Canada for a flight school/university. My question would be, did having a bachelor's degree actually aid you with being considered for job placements obviously after getting the prerequisite number of hours. I'm trying to choose between an aviation management degree (Mount Allison University) coupled with flight training and just flight training and then onto instructor rating with no degree, what would you advise?

      Thank you Ossama for the kind words. You don't have to need a degree to get flying jobs in Canada. Though Air Canada, the biggest airline in Canada prefers people with degree though it's not a requirement.

    Hey Man, First of all loved your video. and heads up to you for making videos regarding this topic.
    I had a doubt actually, I was planning to join Harv's air. & came across there package of (PPL + CPL + INSTRUCTOR RATING) without ME or INSTRUMENT RATING. So do people with just this qualifications get a instructor job in harv 's air itself or it is mandatory that i need to have Instrument rating , ME and than only can do a job at their academy? i was thinking if i took this instructor package of theirs and then realize that by the time i finished my cpl aviation sector is booming in india, so i would prefer doing ME & instrument rating over Instructor rating. So can we like change in the between of the programme. bcz after all we took a visa for that(instructor package) course and now we are changing. I'm just asking you this bcz you went to the same school and i am right now seeing myself in your shoes. Once again thank you for such informative videos.

    Hi Capt, (PS. It would be long comment, but need your help here)
    I am posting my questions as i progress forward in your video, will post and mention the exact time in the video with my question.
    - (4:41) With 2000 Hours in your log book, you had applied for a job. All of these 2000 hours were multi engine hours or was it from your CPL time?
    - (4:50) You finally made to an airline job flying a Boeing 737 NG, did you pay up for the aircraft's type rating or did the company funded it?
    - (13:30) Can you please elaborate more on Taxation on salaries?
    Watching the entire video, where there seem to be a turmoil of whether aviation in Canada is a good paying field or no.
    I infer, since i hail from India where the aviation market is yet to boom (thanks to covid), if money is in my mind, i'd better be back home. I am 26 years old, with experience and education in hospitality want to pursue my career in aviation simply because i crave and look up to the uniform and passion for it.
    From you and your friend's experience, i could deduce that since the day i would start my career in Canada, with all my investment in all the courses i do (CPL+Instructor+MEIFR), the ROI seem to begin post 4/5 year only if i land up with a job. And in order to reach out to an airline, i would have to build hours until i find the right job for me.
    So correct me if i am wrong with my approach here.

    1. Can I convert FAA CFI license to the equivalent flight instructor license in Canada?
    2. Do regional airlines or other aviation companies in Canada hire foreign pilots, while sponsoring for their work visa(such as LMIA)? Or do I need PR in advance??
    3. As you moved from one company to another, did you have to apply for the new visa?

      @flyingtrucker438  Před 2 lety

      Conversion of FAA to ICAO should be pretty easy. Most likely just a simple test I believe but not sure. About converting FI rating, sorry have no clue about that.
      As long as you have a work permit you can change companies. Now talking about airline if you have PR, then visa is no longer required

    • @flyingtrucker438

    Thanks for the video, I have a 17-year-old boy. IQ test. IQ test is 145. I want to send him to Canada next year to study. I have a question for you. My son is interested in both engineering and medicine, and sometimes he says I would like to be an airline pilot, I tell him to go to medicine or engineering, then you can get a personal pilot license, I want to know what do you think?

    • @flyingtrucker438
      @flyingtrucker438  Před 2 lety

      Medicine field ll never collapse. Excellent pay is guaranteed once you complete the course. If he is ok with that I recommend being a doctor. Now to be a pilot you don't have to be super smart. Engineers are also paid pretty decent depending on the sector you specialize in I believe. Keep in mind another financial depression will surely affect aviation sector and everyone ll lose jobs like they did in 2020, 2008-2011
