    This was a great insight to your overnight shift. The pediatric cases, like the one year old and his mom, will definitely make me cry. Hopefully I can learn to keep my composure and stay calm. Thanks for another great video lady and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.

    Thank you so much for sharing, Geselle! Question for you - would you recommend entry level Sonographers to begin with night shifts or day shifts?

    • @lolgeselle
      @lolgeselle  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi!! I recommend whatever is best for you that fits your schedule. Regardless, you will learn on either shift. Night shifts tend to be a one person thing though, so if you need others to be there with you, day shifts will be better.

    Do you prefer graveyard or day shift?

    • @lolgeselle
      @lolgeselle  Před 11 měsíci

      For my hospital specifically, I prefer graveyard.. it is a lot less crazy, I can do what I want to do, no supervisors/admin usually at night and the staff is usually more chill/friendly. Everyone has different reasons why they like either or though. They both have pros and cons!

    I have a question. I am in my first year of ultrasound school and I am very interested in IVF sonography. All the jobs say fertility experience is required, but I don't know where you go to get that experience ? I will be registered in Abdomen and OB when I am done with school. Should I move toward working for an OBGYN office after I graduate, do they offer fertility experience there? Or are there some online certifications I should get? Any advice you have would be great. Or if you know an IVF sonographer and did a show on how she made it up the ranks, that would be incredible! Thanks. You are the best.

    • @lolgeselle
      @lolgeselle  Před 2 lety

      Hi Jennifer!! This is interesting because I don’t know any IVF sonographers but I can suggest to you Jamie Lynn who is a MFM Sonographer! Or KristyDMS she’s an OBGYN sonographer! And I’m sure they will know more information for you! I’d also suggest asking in the Facebook sonography groups as there are thousands of people in there willing to help! I think anything close to OBGYN will give you an in in that area of expertise! 😋 Good luck and keep me updated!
