      Depends on what else you have to take the place, plus back up the Patriot system. Cause you never have one defense system and not even Ukraine does. You have a layered system with multiple different defense systems so everything you need taken out of the sky can be. So as long as you have something to replace basically the Patriot, then you do not want to get rid of it. Though you are apart of NATO now, so really you could go without the system, maybe all of them. Cause you are in NATO you would Immediately get whatever you needed if you needed it.... But most leaders want no one hurt, and if they were gone, the first attacks could be bad if it were to happen.

      Practically every recent report from the front, has mentioned lack of manpower as a major problem. Ukraine apparently is close to the mobilization level, that they are willing to go to. No quantity of military equipment is going to make up for that.

      @@parcomolo256 Ukraine has an army of 400,000. We send 100 Bradley's when they already lost 25 and about the same number down for maintenance. That's only one example. If we had sent them 500, and they were failing I could agree with your premise. The same goes for tanks. We sent 36. 15 are either destroyed or down for maintenance. We have not sent more. If we had sent and entire divisions worth, say 400 tanks, and they were failing I could agree with your premise. 36 tanks? F16's none. Same thing. The US doesn't want Ukraine to win. They want the Russians degraded, and when it suits them they will push a negotiated settlement down Zelenski's throat. .

      @@brianivey5682 I'm sure your figures for IFVs and tanks are reasonable, but that does nothing to address the issue of manpower shortage. Ukraine is losing soldiers and wearing down the ones that are not lost. Meanwhile they are not recruiting on a scale, that will make this sustainable. That is going to affect the outcome of this much more than 400 tanks.

    I asked before, I ask again, why doesn’t Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, et al) send 250k soldiers with all the gear, ammunition, and supplies to Ukraine to fight on the front lines. Send them with complete air support, supply lines, everything. Why does Europe wait to do this? Ukrainian lives would be saved. I still have not heard an answer. Thank you.

      Russia would think it's a great overstepped boundary and respond brutally to all countries involved. Each country has their own policies, some belong to NATO and they have their policies, etc. Sadly, it's just wishful thinking 😔

    • @nigeldawson5960
      @nigeldawson5960 Před 28 dny

      @@ATPGeo I still don't understand. Europe (and America for that matter) are sending all sorts of weapons. They are also providing intelligence, including flying drones near the area in question as well as using satellites. There is precious little difference between providing all the aforementioned resources and then a mere 250k soldiers. Besides, this channel (and others) repeatedly say how Russia is a threat to all the west. Then is the confrontation were swift and massive, all of Europe pushing back against Russia, Putin would have no chance no matter what his claim of "nuclear" retaliation. Sadly, I remain perplexed why Europe doesn't lead the way, mobilize, and show the world exactly how powerful they are and committed to doing the right thing now, demonstrating that Europe is a leader in all things, especially this type of situation. Oh, well. Perhaps Europe isn't what they themselves say they are. one is left to wonder. Thank you.

    Ukraine have been using small squad(3-5) tactics extremely successfully since the beginning of the war, Russian have now adopted the tactic and been using it quite successfully in various areas. They can only commit certain number of squads before they getting in eachother's way hence the expansion of the front in an attempt to over stretch Ukraine manpower and logistics.

    We still believe that it is important what Russia is thinking. Instead of Russian feelings we should change our own red lines: Instead of no Western weapons over Russia, we should state no Russian weapons over Ukraine. Later the discussion will start who will pay for this mess and Russia will be the last one who wants to pay for their adventure. Full reimbursement by Russia.

    All NATO allies should be careful with their Patriot/similar systems. When Putin will test NATO's commitment to collective defense it will be done by missiles. Ukraine's future ability to fight Russia after November may take a major hit, support from the US to Eastern European NATO nations may also become questionable. The Romanian Minister is playing it safe.

    Pushing the envelope? By Estonia? By sending their troops to Ukraine in non-combat roles? What exactly in the best scenario do they hope to achieve? Let's suppose some other countries will join them. What this is going to achieve? Most likely, it would make them the target and it would not change the situation on the ground. But it would make a direct confrontation with Russia more likely. As we all understand, there are good reasons why NATO does not want a direct confrontation.

      Ukraine needs help and no one needs people who can't do the right thing just because it isn't free.

Just don't try to drag the entire country into this with you, because people, the majority of them, don't want a war. Once again, there are good reasons why nobody wants a direct confrontation. Similarly, there are good reasons why this conflict is a lost cause. These are the things which we could have been discussing if you were in the rational state of mind. But from your comment it looks like all you see is Lord Kitchener pointing at you from his poster and saying: Ukraine wants you!
