How was it? Did you like the hotel?
I was in Reykjavik in March this year and it was super strong that night! I saw the lights when I was in Reykjavik in October 2022 too. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Oh nice, that's awesome!
Yes, it's definitely not too common to see them from Reykjavik. That'll usually just happen a couple of times per winter. I'm glad you were able to see them!
Best regards,
Dan :)
We heard this year is expected to be especially strong, so we will be there mid -end of September staying on the Golden Circle. So excited!
My bucket lists to watch northern light. Going to plan next year march - april 2024 to visit iceland.

Hey Dan! I always go to a new place each new years. A bucket list has always been Iceland! Is Reykjavik ok for a lady to travel solo, join attend a new years party/celebration (if one is still available), do Golden Circle, see the Northern Lights (or should I travel to Grotta Light House) , and, of course, the food walk tour?!?! Thank you for your expert help.
0:54 This is not true. I was living Reykjavik before, and you can see strong northern lights from Reykjavik very often during the winter. Even from the downtown area, near Hallgrímskirkja, the main shopping streets and definitely near Perlan. The light pollution is not a big deal in Reykjavik.
Do you recommend waiting until the weather forecast is available to book or is it reasonable to book well in advance and hope for the best?
Hi. We’ll be in Reykjavik 15-17 Oct. We are staying 2 mins from Sky Lagoon. What time would the Northern Lights tour start/finish and where does it start/end? Damo
Hi sir, will it be ok to go Iceland on the second week of April next year?
Hi sir, is it possible to see Northern Lights on April first to second week?
I got tickets to Iceland for September 20-27
Do you think it is a good time to go?
Hey! Can you please help me? I'm planning a trip for this year/next and it's probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so can't miss... I'd like to know a month with big chances to see the strongest northern lights but also with snow on the ground (it's my dream to see them in a wintery landscape, it doesn't snow in my country so that'd be double wonderful you know? Not so excited to see it with no snow on the mountains!
Iceland shall have Lunar Analemma anytime soon.
Do we get Crampons for rent in Reykjavik?
Hello, we are planned to visit Iceland this coming 24-28 Aug , can we have the chance e to see northern light, thanks! Any local tours can we join?
Hey there! That is the beginning of the season, so it is possibly if you are lucky! We will have tours on our website that start then - it is smart to book it in May! 🇮🇸
Hello, could you please help me with the Northern Lights tour pricing? The price says 160,000 ISK, so would that be 160000 ISK or 160 ISK. Sorry I'm not sure if Iceland uses the comma as a thousand indicator or decimal.
I have been4 times and just havent seen them
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that Kathy. I hope that you'll be able to see them in the future ❤️
@@WakeUpReykjavik. Oh yeah it is my excuse for needing to visit once again😍😍
What months have you been there and for how many days? :(
Hi I'm from India
i want to come Iceland please help 😢😢😢😢
Hey!
Awesome, I'm sure you'll love it here. What do you need help with? 👀
I was adviced by one of the locals not to take a chance in March as it’s very rare to see Northern Lights especially when you there for a week only
