I decided to head to Marks and Spencer to try out their royal afternoon tea that has got great reviews and supposedly can compete with afternoon teas that are much more expensive. Is that true?

Superior quality when compared to say, Morrisons if you care to pay for it.

I love an Afternoon Tea and didn't know M&S had one! I will definitely find a store in London as £12,50 is very reasonable. The cakes don't look as fancy as in Fortnum & Mason or Harrod's but the sandwiches look better and your bill is much cheaper! 😊

It looked really fancy! Everyone in there took a sneaky peak at what I was having and it all tasted great!
We used get an afternoon tea for two not so long ago for around £15, this is a reduced offering at £12.50 per person and in my opinion not worth the money.
Hey there Love this series especially the breakfast ones because then I know which ones better for ur buck. But a suggestion could be reviewing fast food restaurant breakfasts and comparing them! The afternoon tea looks good but personally I don’t like cheese or butter so no sandwiches 😅 However NOT worth the price you can get it way cheaper!

You can't go wrong with M&S food
It tastes really good!
Does look nice but price if you loka t the sandwich it's only 3 slices of bread and be using there own food to keeps cost down
Its probably true they are using their own food, but M&S food is great 😋 its not just food. Its M&S food 😀
after seeing that scone, i just went to our cafe next door and bought a scone for an extra lunch ; ) compared to what we pay in germany for an afternoon tea i think its a very reasonable price tag

To be honest this is such a low quality Afternoon tea and nothing looked great (the pastry should be a palmiers I guess, mostly from their store everything, the sandos were really disappointing). You could make this at home with their items and drink as much tea you like. I would prefer a nice cream tea somewhere else instead to be happy. 🤗
Team Devon way ❤ cream first, then jam. My husband is the Cornish way.

M&S food always tastes delicious
the second and third sandwich looked tasty ... always jam then cream on a scone and it looked so good .. was the picture for 2 people as you didn't seem to get as much on yours .. did look good though
Yes the picture was for 2 people so it looked a little less on mine, but was all tasty though!

It did look nice and it wasn't a bad price for M&S. I've seen those macoroons in the fridge but never tried them. I would have been full just with the scone. Sometimes i buy 2 plain scones or two fruit scones a week for me and my husband's supper. I do think they could have served it on a fancier plate
The scone with the jam and clotted cream was the best thing for me. It was delicious! 😋

I think it could give more expensive versions a run for their money but would have to try a few ore to find out

The original was for 2 people and the one that I got was for 1 so thats why it looks a bit different
Not Real ham in the Sandwich, no butter and the cream portion seemed a bit stingy
M&S are EXPENSIVE and they have reportedly just decided to go CARD ONLY and will refuse CASH payment ----- I WILL NOT shop there.

If I convert it over to nzd it’s about $25 that brings it up for more than I would be willing to spend on afternoon tea for 1, however it did look delicious

The bread is never buttered with M&S sandwiches, they are usually a bit dry & lacking in real flavour. Didn't look amazing to me. Sorry..

I love your videos, however the background music is so annoying I have to stop watching after a few minutes. You didn't have this in your earlier videos. I hope you'll consider not using the background music in future. After all, it's YOU we want to listen to. :o)

Can you customise the sandwiches? I only can only have the cheese as a vegetarian(don't like egg!) But I don't like pickle either!

Think you are getting desperate for ideas. You eat breakfast the same way every time. How about mixed grills, steak or lamb and pork? Getting bored with your programmes
Don't watch them then. Or better idea, you could have a go making some yourself, and maybe some smart alec can come on and tell you how boring you are NIGEL.
