If you were a kid in Leeds in the 80s you wanted to be John Sheridan. Legend 💙💛 MOT
Leeds scum
Every kid in our school playground wanted to be John Sheridan 💛💙
Great listen and some top stories from John. As an old school Leeds fan he was the man in the eighties
Smashing player. Very underrated. He was brilliant for Ireland aswell in a very talented Irish squad.
Hero #LUFC. The shining light in a tricky period for the club
Along with Tony Currie my Leeds hero. An absolute legend, I'd have loved nothing more than to see Shez in the top flight with Leeds, a shining light in a dark period at Elland Road. MOT !!!
- His biggest regret in football - that he never played top flight for The Whites. (Interview in "Leeds Leeds Leeds" magazine) 💛💙
Fantastic bloke...could do with some in the premiership. Old skool values. Loved that.
I grew up with the Sheridan's in Stretford, went to the same school as them, from infants to secondary, big Irish Catholic family, 6 brothers, they were a pretty rum bunch, i was pleased when John made it as a pro, even more so when his younger brother Darren made it in the PL with Barnsley. Good set of lads, you don't want to get on the wrong side of them though !
Sheridan Dictates. 80'ies icon at Elland Road. Proper Leeds United Legend. 💛💙
- My all-time Leeds United hero. Some player, Shez8 - made everything look so easy as great players do. Proper Elland Road legend. 💛💙
This was quality "YOU WERE IN YOUR FKN PRIME AT KETTERING" 🤣
Along with 'Le God' (Chris Waddle), simply the best player to pull on the blue and white of Wednesday. Absolute class. Would be worth millions and millions in todays game. True legend. #wawaw 🔵⚪
Met him and waddle in a pub in Plymouth years ago when he was managing Plymouth. Sat and talked with them. The pair of the were quality all night. Top man
@@davekeegan2398 That is beyond cool! Good man. 👍
Le God was le tissier what the hell are you talking about!
@@larrystreak1044 Its what the Marseille fans called (and still call) him. Thats what the hell I'm talking about.
Le Wad sounds more appropriate
I remember the banner at Leeds "Sheridan Dictates"
Up there with the likes of Tony Currie as one of my favourite post Revie midfielders for Leeds.
Could listen to Lord John all day every day
Top player.great for ireland especially usa 94
John was quality for ireland 🇮🇪 great interview
Very underrated did great for Ireland
This vid is amazing. What a sound and funny guy John is. Can't wait for part 2. Great work guys.
- Eddie Gray coached Harry Kewell, Alan Smith, Jonathan Woodgate etc from the time so many talented players came through the youth team at Leeds around 2000. Eddie still to this day regard John Sheridan as one of the most natural gifted players he has ever coached.
We loved him at Leeds , I can see him now with his chest stuck out in the evening post shirt like it was yesterday
@@Roscoe.P.Coldchain :Yeah, chest out and free kicks in the top corner. 💥
Loved it! 💛💙
love flicking through the back catalog and stumbling across gems like this
spat me beer out at brownies "bug big tournament" comment 😂🤣😅
great listen and top bloke 🤙
Absolute top bloke. Pleasure meeting him
Great stories from John, Cheers again boys !!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant old school and two sides of the coin lokking forward to next week .
Another great video lads.
Just paid for my ticket for the Manchester bash too.
Looking forward to it chaps.
fab at oldham one of my footballing idols
Top player, very underrated and a hero of the Ashmore clan from Parsons Cross in Sheffield!! 😎
Straight talking gentleman. Top man and top episide.
amazing how these judges talk a good game
LEGEND
Thanks for reuploading
Round 2. Half way though watching it this morning
CLASSIC
We need this utter legend back in charge of oldham. Only person I can think of who could slap a bit of fight into this bunch of shite. Bring him home, Shezurrection part 4
Fucking 100% spot on, he us the one and only that can stop us from joining non league.........
Loved Shez at Elland Road.
Should be an interesting watch, hope you’ve asked him why since he left Plymouth he seems to manage 4 clubs a year for an average of 2 weeks each.
Shame he wasn’t at Swindon for only 2 weeks
What's it to do with you nosey
@@leedschampions6704 nothing at all pal but I’m sure fans of the clubs he’s managed would like to know why he always seems to get sacked or jumps ship somewhere else at the earliest opportunity
Loved in ireland.top man
25 mins in and he could be on the Comedy circuit!! 😂😂😂
Easily one of the best central midfielders in the country in his time. Kind of modest saying he played at a decent level. I think he played at the highest level. Scored the winner in the League Cup. Played in the World Cup, scored in the UEFA cup, played in multiple Cup Fnals, almost won the Old First Division title. The very last Old Division Season. I don't think there was much between Leeds, Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday. I think either of those teams could have won the Title, went down to the very last game, just went down to the rub of the green in the end. Ironically Mark Bright scored the goal against Wednesday. Although in the end it wouldn't have mattered luckily for Bright.
Played alongside the likes of Chris Waddle, David Hirst, Roy Keane, Des Walker, Paul McGrath, Ray Houghton, Chris Woods, Pat Bonner, Denis Irwin, Roland Nilsson, etc etc some of the world's top class players of the times.
Very underrated player.
Makes me realise that players like Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes are overrated. John Sheridan was doing what they was doing people have got very short memories... I don't think Gerrard and Scholes international careers was much better than Sheridan's. And his football league campaign from 1989 to 1994 shows he was one of the top midfielders in the country. If you had at least 5 or 6 years of being one of the top midfielders in the country you've done your job
One of Sheffield's greatest entertainers
He was some player, great penalty taker as well
I find it interesting that many people who bemoan the loss of “old school values” are also those who have children that are a similar age to professional footballers.
Can we get Adam Hammill on the podcast????
We I went to see his live show in Scarborough went down like the titanic 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I thought he had started at City as a schoolboy and was a big City fan, good listen that lads.
I'm an Irish fan. Loved watching midfielders like Sheridan. Proper player. Keane got all the praise but players like Sheridan and Townsend where much better for me
I liked those two but better than Roy Keane? Steady on.
Both great lads but Come on lol
Yep I liked there style of play.
As a blade, a player i would have loved at sheff u.
Saw a podcast with a former chesterfield player who said he never knew until the day who was playing. It was like shez picked the squad out the hat. Will always remember his title winning season and the win at Wembley but his second spell with us he'd completely lost the plot
That’s not uncommon Ashley. Some managers do it to keep all of the players on their toes
@@undrthecosh when you're in a relegation battle it's not what you need. Awful manager now
How do I subscribe to patron? Need to fund you so one of you can smarten up!
DOES HE DISCUSS HIS TIME AT WEDNESDAY IN THIS PART?
great show lads
Didn't realise how many games he played for Ireland , Leeds & Wednesday, very underrated
Where’s part 2
I liked him at Swindon .
48:09 " MOSS SIDE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT" REALY IN THE 1980'S ARE YOU MAD ..... LMFAO
Super Oldham
Player power
Easily the worst manager we’ve ever had (Swindon) and he’s had some competition. Jurassic John as he became known.
plenty of shouters at sunday league/non league level now not good enough but at least they shout a lot
I was at Sheff Wed with Shez and he hated David Pleat! 100% hahahaha
Lads you could of picked a nicer thumbnail for Sheridan ffs!!!
Bosh👊
🙅🏻♂️🔥🙅🏻♂️🔥
legend....that shez stare 16.54 mot
Worst manager we’ve ever had at wigan
And then we got stuck with him at Swindon.
Lost 8 in a row with notts county
Reyt player at Wednesday!
Leeds United 80's Legends, John Sheridan, Tommy Wright, Scott Sellers, 80's United , WACO !
David Seaman might have been in that youth team too might be wrong though !
"Frank Worthington" the original shampain Charlie Shabba ....... lol
Remember him not playing in a leeds match and thinking wtf? Rumour was that he was still too pissed from the night before.
Ignore the we bit
Shezza second spell at spireites was a disaster highest paid manager he was 3 years ago and was absolute shite
He was very unlucky at Swindon last season, had some real dross put his way by Paul Jewell in January but still almost kept them up.
Still almost kept us up? That had sod all to do with him, manager or not
Utter bullshit, the blokes a dinosaur, he alienated the team and fans at Swindon, the worst manager I've seen in 35 years at Town.
Dink
M
Sheridan gutted he didn't make it at forest.. caught clough on the poo
Side note but England 20 Latvia 0 shows the standard of womens football even San Marino men only get beat by 9s and 10s
John was a quality player, a poor mans chris waddle.
Waddle was a poor mans John
Both are poor mans phil jevons😉😂😂😂
Good player. Mediocre manager. Vile human. No thanks.
Absolutely. He does doesn't come across well at all and has all the personality of a dead fish.
Seems to have a chip on his shoulder, right enough. Shame as I always enjoyed watching him play.
Think you need to get a grip what exactly is vile
Weak world
Snowflakes are everywhere! It’s never you.
I listeed to sll thie, the laughing at nothing is pathetic he dint really say owt funny but judging by thr laughing it was like you guys were at a Jimmy Carr gigg
Ok mate. We won’t laugh just because you don’t find him funny 👍
Jimmy Carr's as funny as bowel cancer these days so you might want to sort your sense of human out lad
the incessant giggling, instead of a conversation you get boring banter
