    I lived in Osaka almost 8 year's. Never went to Tokyo. But wakayama is beautiful, so to is. Osaka, Nara, kyoto, one place to go outside of these areas is, though I never went. Ginza its a very old town with its traditional buildings and beauty.

    My siblings and I are obsessed with Japan, the youngest actually just came back from a week trip in Tokyo ( I wasn't able to join because I just come back from Europe). I prefer rural parts of Japan than large cities.

    Wow, congrats on your dream vacation! Everything I've seen about Japan is very nice. It's odd to me about needing a birth certificate as well as a passport. I specifically got my US Passport in 2010 because it was the end all / be all form of documentation for citizenship. At the time I needed it for my private pilot license. The document I had been holding on to for years as a birth certificate wasn't actually it! LOL, so I had to go online and get a copy from my birth state, luckily that the correct form. We later needed the passport for my state driver's license, so it's come in handy as the ID of choice when needed. For $10 more I got the additional passport card, which I think is only good in the US, Canada, and Mexico, but I've used that in places since where my license wasn't enough or a 2nd ID was required. LOL.

    That is quite stringent requirements. Australians have a visa exemption for 90 days. You will love it there I am sure.

    Please make sure to bring your documents at the airport coz the immigration officers there would sometimes interrogate you even if you already have the visa and won't let you board the plane if they want to. If you have all docs with you, all good. Yayy super happy and excited for ya 😊

    G'Day Maya, been watching GIO and now you also for info on the Philippines. Thanks to both of you. Would love to meet and chat on a future visit. 5th visit soon. Yes, have lady there!
    I'm currently trying to arrange a OS trip for us. Hopefully to Australia, but maybe initially Singapore.
    It seems the real difficulty is getting OUT of the Philippines? I have heard about 50% get "off-loaded". Have spoken to 4 couples, some married, and they have interview at airport for both, before being allowed to leave.
    You didn't mention the "getting out of Ph." issue?
    What have you prepared for that part of departure?

    Maya ,,, I have a question,,,
    Why do the Philippines 🇵🇭 government worry so much about your traveling plans ?
    Yet most of there country lives in poverty and they care so little about all of them ?
    Makes absolutely no sense ….

    • @TruthFinder7839
      @TruthFinder7839 Před měsícem +1

      @@MayaLifeInThePhilippines , they worry about international human trafficking at all levels of income and options available to those who choose to travel outside their country. If the million dollar question has been answered, I’m happy I helped out. ❤️🙏

    • @JoyRockk
      @JoyRockk Před měsícem

      My country wants to ensure that the person who is processing their papers is LEGIT. Proper documents to travel as a tourist or for work to protect them from harm, human trafficking and some who OVERSTAYS without the government knowledge. This also applies not only with my kababayans, but to foreigners as well for LEGAL purposes and again confirming one’s identity. They probably don’t want to deal with IMPOSTORS.

    Congrats on achieving your goal. Japan is a super country to understand their culture and experience the people as they are super modern and sophisticated, along with rich in history and ritual traditions. I love China also, but for China it’s still a strong communist state, and has all the good and bad associated with this type of government managing all their problems, with an iron fist. 👊 🙏

    Don't mean to be a buzz kill. But the yen is down. The cost of living is up. The economy is absolutley Fkd. And you still got taxes on top of that which is about 27% of basic salary. But it will probably be a nice visit to japan overall.
    If you've never left the Philippines your gonna find out quickly not every poreyner is a millionaire. Far from it actually.
