HYS is the way to go! For sure!
As a fellow tree and tower climber, the Tethrd gear in general just makes sense. It’s so easy and practical to use. Some of the best on the market for sure! Great video.
The Tethrd HYS Strap along with the HYS Pro Pack (the Hero Clip and the 3 S-biners) is the absolute BEST, BEST, BEST thing I have ever bought for hunting. I am so glad that I didn't skip on the Pro Pack because that is such an amazing setup. The Hero Clip holds my compound and will also holds a crossbow very well if that is what you hunt with. I removed one of the clips on each of the 3 S-biners just like you did, and hang my backpack and range finder from them with easy access. I didn't get my HYS till kinda late in the 21-22 bow season but everytime I went up and put it on I was just totally amazed at how great of a purchase it was. I'm taking all my friends this summer out to the woods and gonna have them try out my HYS setup because I know they will want to get their own after using it once.
Hys strap is awesome. So easy to set up and fool proof. With never taking a deer from a saddle I can already tell you it fits my hunt style perfect. Im always thinking if I could just setup in that tree. Now I can. Thanks you Greg for the awesome products you guys make. And the endless tips you guys give out for free. 👍.

I’m excited for my first bow season, got a tethrd phantom and hys strap. When is tethrd going to come out with a saddle hunting pack? I’m not a fan of any of the options I’ve found for carrying a predator platform and sticks.

new too saddle hunting and thanks for alot of great vids and info. i have a question about the tree tether? can i use 5/16-3/8 amsteel with a ropeman 1 or kong ascender for my tree tether instead of the double braided rope?

How’d North Dakota go ? Ran into some nice bucks but couldn’t seem to make it happen. Had to settle for a small velvet 6 on last day
Not a single buck in range for me. Not even a spike. Very disappointing.
@@G2Outdoors a lot of people at camp had the same problem. I let some 100-110’s go hoping to run into that big one again but never happened.

We don't. Sounds like a good idea.
Is it necessary to girth hitch the strap and then use the clip to tighten or can you just use the clip?
I trust the clip. Some guys don't and prefer a girth hitch.

Any way to do a kydex bow mount that works on the Mathews bows with the Mathews quivers?
Yup. I have one on my Mathews VXR and Mathews quiver. You have to think it through to make it all fit, bit it works great.
