Takes me back to the times when I loved everything about football, the mddy pitches, the cold tea at half time and the real passion of hard tackling players, and players not diving.... football as lost its soul and connection with the common man and die hard fans

All sports have had their souls ripped out due to corporate greed. Living in America all my life, I watched the NFL, NBA, and MLB slowly become less organic over the last 30 years, starting in the 90s. Everything that I loved, the duel stadium for Baseball and American Football, the muddy fields, but the physical play and competitive spirit gave way to this corporate shell. That's why I fell in love with Football and love watching these old videos. The passion and energy brought to a match, especially in the English game, reminds me of the way US sports were so long ago. Unfortunately, I can see the same greed and manufactured excitement creeping into leagues from around the world.

scherben totally agree with you there. Unfortunately it’s only going to get worse. Especially with what happened this past week with Bolton and bury. Especially bury. Why can’t some of these players who are on obscene amounts of money a week say “ I’ll give my £200,000 I’m going to get this week to bury. If 10 players did that it would keep people in jobs and stop businesses going under because a club like that is the focal point of the town.

Definitely a different world 🌎 more simple yes but I don't know if it was better! younger but that's not everything! Great players I'm glad to say I've seen most of them from Zico ,Hoddle,Brady, Robertson, McDermott to Zizou ,Kaka ,both Ronaldos and Figo to Nbappe and Vinnisius Jnr Haaland too many to mention! But I still enjoy football so much especially when my two teams are playing Celtic and Real Madrid.
