    Isn’t it awesome the deals you can come across when you know what you’re doing and know what you’re looking for 👀

    Just woke up to this vid, which is great because I ordered the same cooler for my '98 Z28.

      That's good.If you have space in front of the radiator that would be the best place but it will fit in between them but is a bit of a pain to get the plastic retaining straps in there.But it does seem to cool pretty well without affecting the cooling of the engine.

    I’d do away with that other cooler under the radiator and i would put the new one right in front of the condenser instead of behind it. There’s room for it plus the condenser runs a lot hotter than the trans cooler. The trans cooler won’t really affect the condenser but the other way around is likely to put a bit of additional heat into the cooler on a hot summer day with the A/C running.

      Oh I agree in front of the condenser is the best place but I would have to remove my Ram air (SSRA) which I don't want to do.As it is right now it never goes above 185 so it will do for now.

    I've got the same cooler for my Z'd. Hose clamps sufficient enough to hold the rubber lines on? Thanks for this btw.

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes the clamps will hold fine as long as the connections all have a flare where the rubber lines connect to the metal lines.

    You have a trans cooler suggestion for a 95 TA

      Whatever will fit in front of your radiator and fits your budget. If you drive in cold weather you may not want too go too big but if that's not an issue for you the get an 8 or 10 row cooler. Don't bother with those expensive stacked coolers they cost more money and are more restrictive to fluid flow. Just get your standard cheap tube cooler. Brand isn't really important because they are all probably made in China anyways. Amazon sells many different brands pretty cheap.

    I have the 97 camaro z28 lt1 I removed my ac and my condensor. Any advice on where and how to mount it will the heat from the rad effect the trans cooler if it's close to it ?

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Well the best place is in the front of the radiator if you have the space. But anywhere you can mount it that has Airflow will be a big help and the heat from the radiator will not hurt. The optimum temp for transmission fluid is between 175-195 degrees. A little cooler than that won't hurt but you don't want it too cool but you probably wouldn't have to worry about it being too cool anyways unless you drive in a very cold climate.

    Trans will live longer with those new temps. Is that an SLP line lock I see under the hood?

    Where did you tap your trans cooler guage into?

    • @LSxMotorsports2021
      @LSxMotorsports2021  Před rokem

      I put it in the test port on the transmission.Thats where the instructions that came with the gauge said to put it.But I have since seen a video where a transmission builder said not to use that port because the temperature of the transmission case will make the gauge not read accurately.He said a better spot is to tap into the transmission pan for a more accurate reading.I may change mine eventually but for now I will leave it.I have the video on the channel installing the gauge if you want to see where the test port is.

      @@LSxMotorsports2021 I actually ended up running into that video you made a few seconds after I posted this comment lol. Thank you for the response. New subscriber here. You actually sold me on the idea of the SSRA for my car. I’m pretty happy with it.

      @justinsantiago1975 That's good to hear.Yeah the SSRA is a pretty nice upgrade.Could be a little cheaper but still a good Mod.

      @@LSxMotorsports2021 yeah at first I was hesitant cause of the price. I haven’t done any track testing yet but I feel like it actually picks up better. I too had a volant intake and went with a SLP lid and it felt like the car was searching for air with the lid. But once the SSRA went in the car felt better.

      Got them both from Summit Racing.The AFR gauge is from innovate and the trans temp gauge is from glow shift.
